:01:06. > :01:08.We understand he's the boy who died following an accident in Topshop

:01:09. > :01:11.on the upper floor of the Oracle Shopping Centre here.

:01:12. > :01:15.The exact circumstances of what happened are still unclear,

:01:16. > :01:18.though we know it involved some sort of store display barrier.

:01:19. > :01:19.Today shoppers spoke of their shock and sadness

:01:20. > :01:27.and Kayden's family paid tribute to him.

:01:28. > :01:30.This is Kaden Reddick, who was said to have been

:01:31. > :01:32.on the first day of his half-term holiday when the accident happened.

:01:33. > :01:35.One relative was quoted as saying "He made me laugh, and smile."

:01:36. > :01:39.These pictures show it shuttered, with security guards outside.

:01:40. > :01:41.Inside, staff and police officers have been working

:01:42. > :01:47.Emergency services were called to the Oracle yesterday afternoon

:01:48. > :01:49.after reports of a ten-year-old boy being injured.

:01:50. > :01:52.The police now say the incident involved what they call

:01:53. > :02:03.Kaden was taken to the Royal Berkshire

:02:04. > :02:07.hospital with serious head injuries and later died.

:02:08. > :02:18."The Topshop Board, together with thousands of staff are deeply

:02:19. > :02:21."saddened by the horrific accident that occurred in our Reading

:02:22. > :02:29."All our thoughts are very much with the family

:02:30. > :02:36."We are thoroughly investigating all the events surrounding this

:02:37. > :02:40.Taking place in a shop inside a mall, this

:02:41. > :02:43.was an extremely rare incident, one that's touched people

:02:44. > :02:52.here as Kaden's family come to terms with their grief.

:02:53. > :02:53.Union leaders representing 999 call handlers at

:02:54. > :02:56.South East Coast Ambulance Service, which covers Sussex,

:02:57. > :02:58.Surrey and North East Hampshire, are claiming that horrific acts

:02:59. > :03:00.of staff bullying have been covered up.

:03:01. > :03:03.The report was completed in May last year, but has now been leaked

:03:04. > :03:08.It's said to describe a "climate of fear" with two call

:03:09. > :03:13.handlers attempting suicide because of the abuse.

:03:14. > :03:20.Behind these walls was a workforce subjected to a culture of fear,

:03:21. > :03:22.according to reports carried out after four staff members complained

:03:23. > :03:28.999 call operators suffered bullying, coercion and

:03:29. > :03:36.Looking at some of the findings in this report,

:03:37. > :03:44.I am beyond disappointed, I am very angry.

:03:45. > :03:46.There will be serious questions to ask if

:03:47. > :03:57.A culture of favouritism and nepotism

:03:58. > :04:00.meant that some were threatened with the sack.

:04:01. > :04:03.The trust declined an interview, but in

:04:04. > :04:06.a statement described these as

:04:07. > :04:09.historical allegations that had either been dealt with or had no

:04:10. > :04:12.evidence to back them up, but they did say they take bullying

:04:13. > :04:14.and harassment very seriously and are

:04:15. > :04:17.working hard to address this area of concern.

:04:18. > :04:19.The union which represents call handlers says that staff who

:04:20. > :04:30.were responsible are still in place and more must be done.

:04:31. > :04:33.They are still taking prime positions within the trust, so

:04:34. > :04:41.I think that as an outright lie by the trust and if they have been

:04:42. > :04:44.dealt with, but then had been dealt with behind closed doors.

:04:45. > :04:47.It is very much a boys' club and these members are

:04:48. > :04:48.the leading lights in the boys' club.

:04:49. > :04:55.The need to be removed from the organisation.

:04:56. > :04:58.It is hardly the first scandal to hit the trust.

:04:59. > :05:00.It was alleged that ambulances were delayed

:05:01. > :05:04.in a deliberate tactic to

:05:05. > :05:08.A new chief executive has been appointed but has not yet

:05:09. > :05:27.He will have a lot on his plate when he arrives.

:05:28. > :05:32.A soldier's been charged with two counts of causing death

:05:33. > :05:34.by dangerous driving after a car crash which killed two teenage

:05:35. > :05:38.girls while they were out running in Aldershot.

:05:39. > :05:40.16-year-old Stacey Burrows and 17-year-old Lucy Pigott died

:05:41. > :05:42.after the collision on Queen's Avenue in early November.

:05:43. > :05:44.24-year-old Michael Casey from North London has been bailed

:05:45. > :05:53.and will appear before magistrates in Basingstoke next month.

:05:54. > :05:55.The communications giant Motorola Solutions,

:06:18. > :06:23.Hampshire Police have chosen Valentine's Day to launch a campaign

:06:24. > :06:26.about the dangers that online dating can sometimes pose.

:06:27. > :06:32.A victim reports dating fraud every three hours to the police.

:06:33. > :06:35.The average victim is 49 years old and loses ten thousand pounds.

:06:36. > :06:38.And it typically takes 30 days from first contact for the victim

:06:39. > :06:43.Today a victim of online dating fraud is sharing her experiences

:06:44. > :06:46.of how she lost thousands of pounds and ended up with a conviction

:06:47. > :06:58.Our Home Affairs Correspondent Emma Vardy has the story.

:06:59. > :07:05.Very early on he was telling me how much he loved me.

:07:06. > :07:07.A love story which became a nightmare.

:07:08. > :07:10.When Jenny met a man online, he quickly gained her affections.

:07:11. > :07:12.But later, he began asking for help to transfer money

:07:13. > :07:16.I would go to maybe three different branches

:07:17. > :07:24.and withdraw the funds and

:07:25. > :07:25.deposit it into the other bank accounts.

:07:26. > :07:27.Over three years, she lost more than ?20,000

:07:28. > :07:30.of her own cash, and was convicted of money

:07:31. > :07:38.And she has made this film with Hampshire Police to warn others.

:07:39. > :07:44.I didn't think anything like this could happen to me.

:07:45. > :07:46.The man who conned her has never been tracked down.

:07:47. > :07:49.Police say a quarter of all so-called romance frauds

:07:50. > :07:56.But often the fraudsters are operating from abroad,

:07:57. > :07:58.and can be scamming hundreds of people online at once.

:07:59. > :08:01.This type of scam can be so powerful, because they prey

:08:02. > :08:07.on a victim's deepest desires and their longing for love.

:08:08. > :08:10.Be aware of a few things, such as declarations of undying love

:08:11. > :08:22.The number of people defrauded in the UK by online dating scams

:08:23. > :08:37.They say something that they are generally not the person they say

:08:38. > :08:41.they are. You cannot trust people if you know them. You'll hear more

:08:42. > :08:45.about it, so be cautious. You can write anything you like and say

:08:46. > :08:49.anything you want, but until you see them, it is different.

:08:50. > :08:51.Now, on Valentine's Day, police are warning potential victims,

:08:52. > :08:57.because the fraudsters themselves will very rarely be caught.

:08:58. > :09:00.Peace talks between Southern Railway and the RMT union ended this

:09:04. > :09:06.year in the dispute over the role of conductors.
