:00:08. > :00:21.Hello and welcome. The top stories this evening, claims that patients

:00:22. > :00:28.on the Isle of Wight are at risk of harm while staff are overworked. And

:00:29. > :00:30.apart from the possibility of rain tonight and tomorrow, this week will

:00:31. > :00:37.be mainly dry and settled. Patients being cared for by the NHS

:00:38. > :00:40.on the Isle of Wight are at risk of harm,

:00:41. > :00:45.according to the country's top health inspector, who has

:00:46. > :01:01.recommended that the whole trust be placed

:01:02. > :01:03.in special measures. The Care Quality Commission is due

:01:04. > :01:05.to publish the findings Our health correspondent

:01:06. > :01:10.David Fenton reports. Patient at risk of harm, staff

:01:11. > :01:13.dissolution of them believed, They have got to get rid of these

:01:14. > :01:18.ridiculously expensive It is an insult to anyone

:01:19. > :01:21.with a brain when they start talking about how

:01:22. > :01:23.they have brought in so-and-so for two days a month

:01:24. > :01:25.and they were being It represents St Mary's

:01:26. > :01:39.Hospital perfectly. 140,000 people relying

:01:40. > :01:42.on the island's health service. It is hard not to think

:01:43. > :01:45.they have been let down. Mental health care was

:01:46. > :01:47.a particular problem. There has been a lack

:01:48. > :01:53.of trust all the way round. As anybody, you want

:01:54. > :01:55.to be listened to. Unfortunately, there

:01:56. > :01:58.are times when you don't get listened to and it

:01:59. > :02:08.is those times when you don't

:02:09. > :02:10.that you are looking This is a difficult time

:02:11. > :02:24.for a trust with the whole leadership from the board

:02:25. > :02:30.down getting a slating. Today, the acting chief executive

:02:31. > :02:33.apologised and said: Things need to change

:02:34. > :02:35.here and they will. How soon and in what way

:02:36. > :02:38.we will know next week. A court's heard how a six-year-old

:02:39. > :02:41.Weymouth girl woke her parents to tell them there was a man

:02:42. > :02:44.in her bed. It's claimed the intruder has

:02:45. > :02:45.sexually assaulted her. The child's stepfather

:02:46. > :02:46.initially thought she'd Moments later, he discovered the man

:02:47. > :02:50.asleep in the girl's room. Jervaise Kevin Jones, who's 25,

:02:51. > :02:53.denies sexual assault. The prosecution told the jury

:02:54. > :03:03.here at Bournemouth Crown Court that Jervaise Jones broke

:03:04. > :03:07.into her house in Weymouth He then went upstairs where

:03:08. > :03:13.he allegedly sexually assaulted a six-year-old girl

:03:14. > :03:23.who was asleep in bed. Giving evidence by video

:03:24. > :03:25.link the girl said she could not remember some

:03:26. > :03:29.of the details of what had happened. The defence barrister asked who had

:03:30. > :03:31.taken off her pyjamas. Asked if the man had

:03:32. > :03:42.assaulted her, she replied, yes. Mr Robinson said, the man said

:03:43. > :03:46.he was just asleep in your bed. The jury was told that

:03:47. > :03:51.after the alleged assault the girl went into the room of her parents

:03:52. > :03:54.and said there was a man in her bed and explained

:03:55. > :04:01.to her mother what he had done. The girl's stepfather then

:04:02. > :04:03.discovered Jervaise Jones asleep in the girl's bed naked

:04:04. > :04:05.from the waist down. The police were called

:04:06. > :04:08.and Jervaise Jones was arrested. Jervaise Jones has pleaded not

:04:09. > :04:11.guilty to sexually assaulting a child and he denies trespassing

:04:12. > :04:13.with intent to commit The trial is expected

:04:14. > :04:24.to last three days. A group of MEPS from across Europe

:04:25. > :04:26.have written a letter calling for the release of EU citizens

:04:27. > :04:29.with dual Iranian nationality who are currently

:04:30. > :04:37.being detained in Iran. Hampshire-based mother

:04:38. > :04:38.Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was arrested a year ago today

:04:39. > :04:41.and is now serving a five-year prison sentence, after being accused

:04:42. > :04:43.of plotting to topple Her family maintain she's innocent

:04:44. > :05:06.and yesterday they held It is 365 days since she was

:05:07. > :05:12.detained while trying to leave for home at the end of a visit to see

:05:13. > :05:16.her parents. The first week or so of understanding what was going on and

:05:17. > :05:21.where she was what horrible. We went public a month later and we never

:05:22. > :05:28.thought we would still be here, a full year. The family of Nazanin

:05:29. > :05:36.want people to tie ribbons to trees like this along with thinking about

:05:37. > :05:49.how to spend one day freedom. But the Radcliffes feel more could

:05:50. > :05:52.Nazanin's case. I want to scream at Nazanin's case. I want to scream at

:05:53. > :05:55.the Government and say talking is not enough, it is not working.

:05:56. > :06:07.Foreign Office has it The Foreign Office says it continues

:06:08. > :06:10.to reassert strong concerns about duel British-Iranian prisoners

:06:11. > :06:14.in Iran at the highest levels In the meantime, Nazanin's family

:06:15. > :06:18.in the UK hope their yellow ribbons can help cut through the legal red

:06:19. > :06:21.tape and see her returned home. Our reporter Anjana Gadgil

:06:22. > :06:23.has followed this story Anjana, how likely is it that

:06:24. > :06:27.Nazanin will be released before We know Theresa May has raised her

:06:28. > :06:33.case with the Iranian president. And the Foreign Office Minister

:06:34. > :06:35.and Bournemouth East MP Tobias Ellwood has met

:06:36. > :06:37.with the families. But as we just heard, the family

:06:38. > :06:50.want to publicise the case but it's not clear how

:06:51. > :06:52.that plays in Iran. Ms Zaghari Ratcliffe

:06:53. > :06:57.appealed her sentence in January - it was rejected partly

:06:58. > :07:00.on the basis that her husband was a spy - the Iranians

:07:01. > :07:02.said that was how he'd But at least she knows her family

:07:03. > :07:07.are fighting for her release Her conditions have

:07:08. > :07:09.also slightly improved. She's no longer in solitary

:07:10. > :07:12.confinement, is allowed a monthly call to the UK and to see her young

:07:13. > :07:14.daughter Gabriella, who's living with her

:07:15. > :07:16.grandparents in Tehran. The Southern Railway dispute

:07:17. > :07:18.took a new twist today, when members of Aslef ignored

:07:19. > :07:21.the advice of their own union leaders, and rejected a deal aimed

:07:22. > :07:23.at ending the long-running disagreement over the role

:07:24. > :07:25.of onboard supervisor. Members voted 372 votes

:07:26. > :07:27.to 346 against a deal. Aslef had hoped to persuade

:07:28. > :07:30.its members that it had struck an acceptable compromise

:07:31. > :07:34.with the train operator with the two sides agreeing that

:07:35. > :07:37.Trains would normally carry a second Exceptions would be when an on board

:07:38. > :07:45.supervisor becomes ill at short notice, for example,

:07:46. > :07:48.or arrives late on duty. It's the second time in two months

:07:49. > :07:54.that a deal has been rejected. A separate strike by the RMT union

:07:55. > :07:57.will take place this Saturday. Earlier I spoke to our

:07:58. > :07:59.Transport Correspondent Paul Clifton and asked him if further industrial

:08:00. > :08:15.action by Aslef members was likely. I don't think so, not more strikes

:08:16. > :08:21.among drivers anyway. The union will go back to the company for more

:08:22. > :08:25.talks. Southern called the decision hugely disappointing, both sides

:08:26. > :08:29.thought they had a deal, both sides have lost face here. Meanwhile a

:08:30. > :08:42.much longer dispute involving the RMT union continues. Conductors will

:08:43. > :08:49.take a 32nd day of strike action on Sunday. Southern managers to run 90%

:08:50. > :08:51.of services on strike days so many passengers may not even notice.

:08:52. > :08:54.That's all from the South Today news team this evening.

:08:55. > :08:56.We're back tomorrow with bulletins in BBC Breakfast and there's more

:08:57. > :09:03.Here with our regional weather forecast is Alexis.

:09:04. > :09:09.The mist and fog that lingered in many places this morning and through

:09:10. > :09:13.much of the day along the coast has made a return already and it will

:09:14. > :09:18.become quite dense during the first part of the night. But lift into low

:09:19. > :09:23.cloud. This week we are looking a patchy rain tomorrow and also

:09:24. > :09:27.tonight. Lots of dry weather on offer, and increasing UV levels as

:09:28. > :09:31.we head through the course of the week. Tonight it will be turning

:09:32. > :09:34.misty and murky already, some outbreaks of rain are a possibility

:09:35. > :09:40.and temperatures will fall away in the countryside to around six

:09:41. > :09:44.Celsius. Tomorrow is a complete contrast from today, we will have

:09:45. > :09:48.more cloud and there will be outbreaks of mainly light and patchy

:09:49. > :09:53.rain at times. Brighter conditions the further west you are and

:09:54. > :10:00.temperatures could reach 14 Celsius. Today we saw a high of 16 Celsius so

:10:01. > :10:03.tomorrow in the rain it will feel cooler. Tomorrow night the rain will

:10:04. > :10:08.disappear and we could have a touch of frost in the countryside. It will

:10:09. > :10:12.be a fresh start Wednesday with temperatures tomorrow night is

:10:13. > :10:18.falling to around five Celsius. Wednesday starts with a blue skies

:10:19. > :10:24.overhead note, cloud building in, but all in all it should stay mainly

:10:25. > :10:29.dry, maybe the odd isolated shower the further north and west you are.

:10:30. > :10:33.Temperatures could reach 12 Celsius, and temperatures for the rest of the

:10:34. > :10:38.week could be very similar. We are expecting settled conditions, the

:10:39. > :10:42.centre of this high pressure starts to pull away towards France by the

:10:43. > :10:49.weekend but we still hold onto the settled conditions, the rain more

:10:50. > :10:53.likely to the north and Scotland. On Friday, cloud building during the

:10:54. > :10:58.course of the day and the weekend will stay settled as well.

:10:59. > :11:01.Temperatures on Friday will reach 11 Celsius. Things can

:11:02. > :11:02.is remaining settled. It will feel fairly warm and
