:01:14. > :01:16.The Trust has apologised and promised to make things right.

:02:11. > :02:14.did not have the capacity to deal with me.
:02:15. > :02:17.Failings in the island's health care were laid bare in today's report.
:02:18. > :02:22.Mental health patients were put at risk, leaders failed to act
:02:23. > :02:29.It is far too prevalent in the NHS, the bullying of staff.
:02:30. > :02:36.What we don't hear about is how difficult the staff find it to work
:02:37. > :02:41.This was particularly true in the Isle of Wight.
:02:42. > :02:44.These problems will not be easily solved but solved,
:02:45. > :02:46.they must be for the sake of patients and everyone
:02:47. > :02:55.The trust's Chief Executive stood down last month,
:02:56. > :03:00.An improvement director - brought in by the regulator -
:03:01. > :03:04.Dr Mark Pugh has been an important part of the leadership team
:03:05. > :03:11.For the last week and a half he's been the Acting Chief Executive.
:03:12. > :03:14.We asked him about the report's findings and how patients
:03:15. > :03:21.Absolutely I can see why patients would be concerned by that
:03:22. > :03:27.I can point to a slew of safety outcomes for this organisation
:03:28. > :03:29.which shows that we're not putting patients across the board
:03:30. > :03:35.I live and work on the Isle of Wight, my family use this trust,
:03:36. > :03:37.they have used it in the past and they will continue
:03:38. > :03:43.But what we have clearly got wrong as the safety assurance mechanisms
:03:44. > :03:44.and safety reporting across the organisation
:03:45. > :03:47.and our background planning to ensure safety even when things
:03:48. > :03:53.That is what we will be putting right.
:03:54. > :03:57.Is there a bullying in the Ambulance Service?
:03:58. > :04:01.Yes, that has been an issue for that service, it has felt itself under
:04:02. > :04:04.pressure to meet national targets and to work against a background
:04:05. > :04:10.It's part of a larger investigation which the trust has undertaken
:04:11. > :04:20.and we believe that is no move to a better place.
:04:21. > :04:23.The only way is up from here, there is no doubt about that.
:04:24. > :04:26.Being in special measures, although it has issues around
:04:27. > :04:28.reputation and make make it more difficult for us to recruit staff,
:04:29. > :04:31.it does also come with additional support in the ready
:04:32. > :04:33.have an improvement director on site who has made a helpful
:04:34. > :04:36.impact already in the time she has been here.
:04:37. > :04:38.And of course there will be the relentless scrutiny
:04:39. > :04:40.of the organisation to make absolutely sure that
:04:41. > :04:51.to apologise to patients, population and staff

:05:14. > :05:16.Gary Stacey died when he fell and injured his head after being hit
:05:17. > :05:19.by 21-year-old Ryan Cooper on a night out in Newport.
:05:20. > :05:23.Winchester Crown Court heard how Cooper had drunk vodka excessively
:05:24. > :05:30.He told police that Gary Stacey had threatened him when he approached
:05:31. > :05:34.But the jury didn't believe him and found him guilty of manslaughter
:05:35. > :05:41.Cooper will serve half of his six year sentence in jail and then be
