:00:29. > :00:49.It's one of the last patches of red in the south of England.

:00:50. > :00:51.But Theresa May wants to turn it blue.

:00:55. > :00:57.The seat has been held by Labour's Alan Whitehead since 1997.

:00:58. > :01:00.He currently has a majority of a little less than 4,000.

:01:27. > :01:30.She will find those schools in despair...

:01:31. > :01:34.Southampton Labour MP Alan Whitehead challenged her to visit a school

:01:35. > :01:37.where parents had volunteered to clean toilets to save money.

:01:38. > :01:44.It is perfectly possible I might find myself in Southampton.

:01:45. > :01:47.At some houses, she went in for a chat but didn't stop long.

:01:48. > :01:50.The Prime Minister is talking to people

:01:51. > :01:56.She doesn't want to talk to us, she says today is not

:01:57. > :01:59.the day for interviews with the regional press.

:02:00. > :02:01.There has been criticism of the Conservative campaign for not

:02:02. > :02:12.You never know what is going to happen in Warwick Road.

:02:13. > :02:14.As genuine as you can be in front of the cameras.

:02:15. > :02:24.A long way to drive for ten minutes' chat.

:02:25. > :02:26.The visit was carefully stage-managed, limited to one street

:02:27. > :02:28.in Southampton with access to the Conservative leader

:02:29. > :02:34.But we sent our own cameras out after the event to get

:02:35. > :02:37.reaction to the visit on Warwick Road, in Shirley.

:02:44. > :02:50.David Bryan filmed Theresa May inside knocking at his front

:02:51. > :02:54.But as he said on Twitter, he was too scared to answer.

:02:55. > :03:04.She asked if we would be supporting her, which obviously we will.

:03:05. > :03:07.And mentioned some of the things which are of interest to us such

:03:08. > :03:09.as supporting small business, looking after landlords.

:03:10. > :03:16.And you are welcome to as well, to meet my father who wasn't able

:03:17. > :03:22.He has always voted Conservative and after this visit,

:03:23. > :03:31.She is a wonderful lady and we had a nice little chat.

:03:32. > :03:34.We have had the Speaker of the House come here

:03:35. > :03:37.before in this road, Dr Horace King, years ago.

:03:38. > :03:39.But the first time for a Prime Minister.

:03:40. > :03:44.This street was carefully selected, but in different parts

:03:45. > :03:46.of the constituency, there may be different views.

:03:47. > :03:49.And even here the Prime Minister had questions to answer.

:03:50. > :03:51.There seems to be no access to speak to her.

:03:52. > :03:54.There's lots of questions, things I'd like to discuss with her.

:03:55. > :03:58.No. Why is that?

:03:59. > :04:02.Because I fundamentally do not agree with Conservative policy.

:04:03. > :04:06.Well, the Prime Minister said was probable she would visit

:04:07. > :04:09.Southampton and she did today, spending just under 30 minutes

:04:10. > :04:13.door knocking on houses here in Warwick Road on the city.

:04:14. > :04:17.Historically, this constituency has been Labour for the past 20 years.

:04:18. > :04:20.Theresa May's visit shows that she wants to change it

:04:21. > :04:22.from red to blue in next month's general election.

:04:23. > :04:31.And following on from South Today earlier this evening,

:04:32. > :04:34.we would like to make it clear that pooled pictures and interviews

:04:35. > :04:35.about political visits are arranged between broadcasters

:04:36. > :04:41.There's been a fifth arrest in the investigation into the murder

:04:42. > :04:49.Mr Hedger was killed on April 30th at his home in Ringwood.

:04:50. > :04:52.He died as a consequence of gunshot wounds.

:04:53. > :04:54.A 45-year-old man from Poole has been arrested

:04:55. > :04:59.on suspicion of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary.

:05:00. > :05:02.Three other men have been charged with murder and a woman has been

:05:03. > :05:07.A man who takes toys to children in Syria spoke

:05:08. > :05:13.to volunteers and charity workers tonight in Portsmouth.

:05:14. > :05:15.Rami Adham, also known as the Toy Smuggler, carries dolls,

:05:16. > :05:18.puppets and teddy bears across the Syrian border

:05:19. > :05:23.The event was hosted by the charity Don't Hate Donate which raises money

:05:24. > :05:25.for supplies to help people in Syria.

:05:26. > :05:29.It was my first trip, 2012, when I...

:05:30. > :05:34.After I had done my humanitarian aid delivery, I took out these toys,

:05:35. > :05:42.And I have never done anything in my life that has brought me more

:05:43. > :05:47.joy than having these moments and giving these toys to these kids.

:05:48. > :05:49.There is still death and suffering on a daily basis,

:05:50. > :05:54.so it is really important that even when the media goes quiet and it

:05:55. > :05:56.seems that the people in Syria are having a break,

:05:57. > :05:59.that we realise, no, people are still completely,

:06:00. > :06:05.100% reliant on the food and medical aid that we provide.

:06:06. > :06:09.With its blue flag beach, luxury homes and stunning views,

:06:10. > :06:12.Sandbanks is often seen as the jewel in the crown of the south coast.

:06:13. > :06:15.But it risks losing that reputation after the council closed public

:06:16. > :06:21.toilets used by people taking the the ferry across Poole Harbour.

:06:22. > :06:25.Residents say some people are now relieving themselves in gardens.

:06:26. > :06:32.I wanted to use the loo just before I get on the ferry

:06:33. > :06:35.because on the other side, we've got a long walk.

:06:36. > :06:38.But the toilets seem to be currently unavailable.

:06:39. > :06:40.Well, last month, this toilet block was closed

:06:41. > :06:46.The nearest public loos now are half-a-mile back up the road.

:06:47. > :06:48.The closure has also had an unpleasant knock-on

:06:49. > :06:51.for the people who live in this exclusive enclave.

:06:52. > :06:55.We get people coming in and urinating in our garden.

:06:56. > :06:58.And also in Midway Path, which leads to the sea opposite.

:06:59. > :07:28.The council press office sent us this statement.

:07:29. > :07:30.But that will take time, and as many people told me,

:07:31. > :07:42.David Allard, BBC South Today, Sandbanks.

:07:43. > :07:45.It's the biggest container ship to ever dock in the UK.

:07:46. > :07:47.One of the largest ships in the world.

:07:48. > :07:49.The MOL Triumph arrived in Southampton this afternoon.

:07:50. > :07:52.If you laid every container on the vessel, end to end,

:07:53. > :07:54.they would stretch from the South Coast to London.

:07:55. > :08:02.Let's talk to James Ingham, who's in Marchwood.

:08:03. > :08:07.Yes, we have got a really great view of the ship from just across

:08:08. > :08:11.Southampton Water. It is an impressive sight. The MOL Triumph is

:08:12. > :08:17.400 metres long, nearly 60 metres wide. Let me step aside for one

:08:18. > :08:21.moment while you look at some of those 20,000 containers being

:08:22. > :08:29.unloaded here. They have come across from Asia on this, her first trip to

:08:30. > :08:33.northern Europe. The Triumph was briefly the largest container ship

:08:34. > :08:37.in the world. But now a larger one has just been delivered to South

:08:38. > :08:45.Korea. Despite her size, the Triumph is more efficient than Bill 's --

:08:46. > :08:46.boats built just five years ago. It even has special paint that reduces

:08:47. > :08:47.friction in the water. As you build bigger ships,

:08:48. > :08:50.they burn more fuel, But per container, because you are

:08:51. > :08:53.carrying more containers, the carbon footprint of the ship

:08:54. > :09:04.is actually going down James Comey a lot of interest in

:09:05. > :09:08.lots of people have come to see this lots of people have come to see this

:09:09. > :09:15.ship arriving. We took this footage from on-board. We have speeded it

:09:16. > :09:21.up. It shows the way that she came alongside effortlessly. The ship

:09:22. > :09:23.will stay here until the weekend before going to Hamburg and then

:09:24. > :09:27.back to Asia. It is crewed by just back to Asia. It is crewed by just

:09:28. > :09:32.20 people. Just 20 people on that huge ship. Southampton Airport says

:09:33. > :09:37.it has been a really proud day to have this ship alongside here. --

:09:38. > :09:39.Southampton port. That's all from the South Today

:10:33. > :10:35.periods of sunshine. The showers will eventually ease tomorrow night.

:10:36. > :10:40.There could be some showers around on Saturday, although it is a dry

:10:41. > :10:44.bay. We expect sunny spells, the odd isolated shower. This weather front

:10:45. > :10:47.Saturday night and will clear Saturday night and will clear

:10:48. > :10:52.prospering on Sunday morning. In the cold front, the air ahead of it will
