:01:02. > :01:03.Anjana Gadgil is live from Winchester Crown Court

:01:04. > :01:10.A horrific case for everybody involved.

:01:16. > :01:19.A post-mortem examination showed he also had a fractured skull

:01:20. > :01:27.Last month 22-year-old Joseph Eke, the partner of Harry's mother

:01:28. > :01:28.Lauren O'Neill was convicted of Harry's murder.

:01:29. > :01:32.The trial heard that Ms O'Neill had gone to buy washing powder but had

:01:33. > :01:35.returned to find her son turning white and his lips turning blue.

:01:36. > :01:40.Eke denied his guilt all along and today Dorset police have issued

:01:41. > :01:44.this footage of Eke being questioned after his arrest.

:01:45. > :01:54.I've not assaulted him, I've not ever laid a finger on him.

:01:55. > :02:09.Ms O'Neill was emotional throughout the trial and again

:02:10. > :02:11.today during sentencing - and declined to talk to us

:02:12. > :02:16.but Dorset police said they were pleased with the outcome.

:02:17. > :02:18.Harry should be a three and a half-year-old boy.

:02:19. > :02:21.He should be looking forward to school over the next year.

:02:22. > :02:23.Unfortunately, that life has been taken from him.

:02:24. > :02:26.So, the whole investigation team is very sad.

:02:27. > :02:33.We've had a picture up of Harry in our crew room for the whole time.

:02:34. > :02:37.I'm pleased that justice has been served but it's a sad day.

:02:38. > :02:42.In sentencing, the judge at Winchester Crown Court,

:02:43. > :02:47.Ms Justice May, said, "No-one will ever know the extent

:02:48. > :02:49.of your mistreatment of Harry over the last few days and weeks

:02:50. > :02:54.You wilfully, fatally failed Harry when you assaulted

:02:55. > :03:02.Three lanes of the M3 Northbound in Hampshire are to remain closed

:03:03. > :03:05.for the rest of the afternoon after a serious crash this morning.

:03:06. > :03:09.Three lorries and a car are reported to have been involved.

:03:10. > :03:12.It happened between junctions nine and ten near the Winnal roundabout,

:03:13. > :03:15.an Air Ambulance was called to the scene.

:03:16. > :03:19.Investigations are continuing into a murder of a man

:03:20. > :03:23.in Blackbird Leys - as Thames Valley Police have told

:03:24. > :03:28.the public they "won't tolerate violence of this kind"

:03:29. > :03:36.Yesterday police confirmed five people aged between 16

:03:37. > :03:38.and 27 had been arrested in relation to the incident.

:03:39. > :03:41.They have appealed for anyone who was near the Premier shop

:03:42. > :03:43.on the junction of Pegasus Road and Crowberry Rd from 10pm

:03:44. > :03:47.There's been increased police presence across parts of the South -

:03:48. > :03:49.following the terror attacks in London.

:03:50. > :03:51.Extra officers have been out on the streets and attending busy

:03:52. > :03:55.There is currently believed to be no specific risk to the region,

:03:56. > :03:57.but the police are urging us to keep alert.

:03:58. > :03:59.Meanwhile four thousand worshippers observed a minute's silence

:04:00. > :04:03.led by the Archbishop of Canterbury inside Winchester Cathedral

:04:04. > :04:07.as a mark of respect to those killed and wounded

:04:08. > :04:13.We acknowledge, as Christians, or we should, the reality of evil.

:04:14. > :04:19.Of deep and profound wickedness and of the

:04:20. > :04:22.anger and grief and sadness and compassion for those affected that

:04:23. > :04:26.every single person here will be feeling.

:04:27. > :04:29.Health services across the South are struggling to keep

:04:30. > :04:30.staffing levels safe because of an ongoing

:04:31. > :04:36.Latest figures from NHS Digital show our hospitals,

:04:37. > :04:39.community health trusts and ambulance services

:04:40. > :04:41.have a combined total of well over 4,500 vacancies.

:04:42. > :04:49.Our Health Correspondent, Nikki Mitchell, reports.

:04:50. > :04:54.With 30 years experience, Bridget Catterall is much in demand, filling

:04:55. > :04:59.shifts which different hospitals can't fill because they have too

:05:00. > :05:05.many vacancies. I work as an agency nurse. I'm there because there is a

:05:06. > :05:09.shortage of nurses. People going home company lead to moral eyes to,

:05:10. > :05:17.depleted. I have felt the same myself. Those sort of shifts when

:05:18. > :05:27.your workload is intense and you're not getting breaks, going home very

:05:28. > :05:29.late. That is very frequent. Unfortunately the situation is

:05:30. > :05:32.becoming unsustainable and we need to look to a future government to

:05:33. > :05:40.put in a strategy that meet the needs of patients. We want to start

:05:41. > :05:44.a national workforce strategy. We want to make sure EU nationals

:05:45. > :05:50.currently working in the NHS and care sector can remain here with an

:05:51. > :05:53.NHS passport to remain here. We want to make sure bursaries are given to

:05:54. > :05:59.nurses who want to train and we want to remove the pay gap because in the

:06:00. > :06:03.south-east and the south it is very expensive to live. We want to focus

:06:04. > :06:08.on training people without compromising standards and we need

:06:09. > :06:11.to make sure that people feel their work is rewarding, not overburdened

:06:12. > :06:18.by bureaucracy and that they do get a reasonable reward. First thing we

:06:19. > :06:24.would do is remove the 1% pay cap so the staff can earn a decent wage.

:06:25. > :06:31.Secondly, guaranteed you workers can stay after Brexit. Thirdly, to

:06:32. > :06:36.provide more support for student nurses. We need to expand training

:06:37. > :06:41.places and restore the bursary for NHS students. We need to value staff

:06:42. > :06:48.and make them feel welcome and supported at work. We need to stop

:06:49. > :06:57.people leaving. In its manifesto you -- Ukip says...

:06:58. > :07:11.Bridget is keen to stress that being a nurse is hugely rewarding. She

:07:12. > :07:18.just wishes that there were enough of them to meet soaring demand. In

:07:19. > :07:21.the past I've not wanted to talk to watch about the staffing crisis

:07:22. > :07:27.because it worries the general public. I personally think it's time

:07:28. > :07:32.for people to become worried. Given the years it takes to train nurses,

:07:33. > :07:36.doctors and health professionals, unions believe it will take

:07:37. > :07:43.successive governments to solve the NHS's critical staff shortage once

:07:44. > :07:47.and for all. We'll have more on that tonight at 6:30pm.

:07:48. > :07:49.Time for the weather with Bee Tucker.

:07:50. > :07:55.We have got some wet and windy weather spreading in

:07:56. > :07:58.We've seen very little in the way of sunshine.

:07:59. > :08:01.We've had a lot of cloud already today and we're starting

:08:02. > :08:04.This week generally is going to be unsettled.

:08:05. > :08:06.Spells offering push in, heavy at times, often quite windy too.

:08:07. > :08:10.There will be dry and bright spells but over the next few days

:08:11. > :08:14.You can see the bulk of the rain out towards the West.

:08:15. > :08:17.A few holes, generally fairly cloudy.

:08:18. > :08:19.That rain will only get heavier as the afternoon goes on.

:08:20. > :08:21.Southerly winds pick up along the south coast.

:08:22. > :08:25.I think, in rush hour, that rain could be quite heavy,

:08:26. > :08:28.coupled with strong winds could lead to some fairly challenging

:08:29. > :08:31.The rain continues for most of the night.

:08:32. > :08:41.Eventually, as the low pulls away, will see the rain easing.

:08:42. > :08:43.Most parts dry by dawn, still quite windy, so no

:08:44. > :08:48.Tomorrow, I think we'll see early rain clearing and then a mixture

:08:49. > :08:54.We pick up northwesterly airflow tomorrow.

:08:55. > :08:56.So, it is still going to be a very windy day.

:08:57. > :08:59.That will feed in some showers, heavy at times.

:09:00. > :09:00.Perhaps even the odd rumble of thunder.

:09:01. > :09:03.More sunshine, more dry weather than many of us have seen today.

:09:04. > :09:08.Unsettled as we head through the week.

:09:09. > :09:10.Another fairly windy day on Wednesday

:09:11. > :09:15.Towards the tail end of the week, the winds ease and things

:09:16. > :09:54.I've had enough... ..alternative facts.

:09:55. > :10:03.here to help you get the facts straight.

:10:04. > :10:07.Search online, for BBC Reality Check.

:10:08. > :10:07.Join James Fox as he gets beneath the skin of Japan's landscapes,

:10:08. > :10:09.cities and traditions in The Art Of Japanese Life.

:10:10. > :10:15.In Japan, art and life are intrinsically connected.

:10:16. > :10:18.Understanding the principles behind the art

:10:19. > :10:22.unlocks the mysteries of Japanese culture.

:10:23. > :10:27.Join James Fox as he gets beneath the skin of Japan's landscapes,
