:00:22. > :00:26.on the country roads near the site at Forestside, in West Sussdx.

:00:27. > :00:29.They're also concerned the drilling may affect water aquifers.

:00:30. > :00:38.This tranquil corner of the South Downs is popul`r

:00:39. > :00:42.The prospect of up to 40 he`vy goods vehicles a day,

:00:43. > :00:45.servicing an oil well, is not popular.

:00:46. > :00:49.A lot of horses use this ro`d, so we are worried about meeting

:00:50. > :00:57.heavy traffic on these roads and our horses bolting.

:00:58. > :01:00.And also our children ride their horses and bikes on these roads

:01:01. > :01:02.so there will be an element of risk them too.

:01:03. > :01:05.The protest ride travelled down a route that would be used

:01:06. > :01:09.Even passing a regular car causes people concern,

:01:10. > :01:15.and often they slow down and pull over.

:01:16. > :01:18.These lorries are going to take over three-quarters of the road,

:01:19. > :01:22.An oil well was first drilldd in Markwell Woods six years ago

:01:23. > :01:26.Now, UK Oil and Gas, has put in a planning application

:01:27. > :01:28.to start drilling again with four new horizontal wells

:01:29. > :01:34.from the site, right beside an important water apuifer.

:01:35. > :01:40.Our concerns are that they will actually affect the flow

:01:41. > :01:43.of the water snf the turbidhty of the water as they drill through.

:01:44. > :01:46.But even greater is the concern of the kind of chemicals thdy're

:01:47. > :01:51.going to be putting down through the aquifer.

:01:52. > :01:54.Portsmouth Water has asked for more information about how water

:01:55. > :01:59.UK Oil and Gas says there whll be no risk of contamination as its wells

:02:00. > :02:02.will be thoroughly cased with steel tubing and concrete.

:02:03. > :02:05.It plans to discuss concerns with residents next month.

:05:28. > :05:29.England. The main focus will be for the south-west of England where

:05:30. > :05:33.there could be heavy bursts of rain in Devon and Cornwall. With the

:05:34. > :05:38.shield of cloud pushing into Wales, the Midlands and the southern half

:05:39. > :05:41.of the UK, but it isn't as cold night. Different story further

:05:42. > :05:49.north, breaks in the cloud allowing for a touch of frost and pockets of

:05:50. > :05:53.mist and fog. Northern areas will see spells of sunshine in the

:05:54. > :05:57.morning. Some showers, but not as many as recently. The Midlands and

:05:58. > :06:03.the south, more cloud, and shall read bursts of rain. This will clip

:06:04. > :06:07.south-west parts of Wales. There could be torrential downpours in the
