:00:13. > :00:15.Dozens of people have gathered on Weymouth beach to protest

:00:16. > :00:18.against new laws that will stop them walking their dogs.

:00:19. > :00:20.The dog ban has been extenddd from Easter until

:00:21. > :00:24.Local dog owners argue it's the only time of year they get to enjoy

:00:25. > :00:27.the beach, and nearly a thotsand people have signed a petition

:00:28. > :00:34.But others insist the ban is safer for children.

:00:35. > :00:37.No place for man's best fridnd from Good Friday to the end

:00:38. > :00:42.And it's got dog owners hot under the collar in Weylouth.

:00:43. > :00:47.63% of us, I think it is, said we didn't want this ch`nge

:00:48. > :00:50.But they've brought this in anyway, so we feel as locals that wd've

:00:51. > :00:54.I don't see no reason why dogs should not be allowed

:00:55. > :00:59.We're all very good, we all pick up our dogs' mess -

:01:00. > :01:04.But the council says the consultation had a good

:01:05. > :01:06.response, and stress it's about improving public health.

:01:07. > :01:09.David Taylor from Dorchester picked up an eye disease from dog

:01:10. > :01:20.He lost 30% of his vision, and feels the ban is appropriate.

:01:21. > :01:23.People, when they've got thdir dogs, they're chatting to each other,

:01:24. > :01:25.they're not minding what their dogs are up to.

:01:26. > :01:27.Of course the dogs go and do their thing -

:01:28. > :01:30.they of course call the dogs back not realising what they've

:01:31. > :01:34.So the dog's left mess on the beach, and of course anybody,

:01:35. > :01:36.whether it be toddlers or children running around into it,

:01:37. > :01:39.the fact is it'll be transfdrred as a disease for them.

:01:40. > :01:48.It will go before the council in January.

:01:49. > :01:53.A thatched cottage has been destroyed by fire in West Stssex.

:02:16. > :02:18.as well as actor David Suchdt, who was at the launch.

:02:19. > :02:31.He can just about type with one finger, but his sense

:02:32. > :02:38.of humour is amazing, and you can see that in the book.

:02:39. > :02:45.I wonder if people realise that having a disability doesn't stop

:02:46. > :02:56.If you really want to, you can.

:02:57. > :03:07.When I met him, he had actu`lly been to see some of the agents.

:03:08. > :03:09.And he was very disappointed, because they said to him,

:03:10. > :03:12."Love your story, but can wd not have a wheelchair in them?"

:03:13. > :03:14.And I said, "But that's nuts, that's absolutely crazy."

:03:15. > :03:17."As if she were reading my lind Nellie ambled towards me..."

:03:18. > :03:19.For someone like him who's so creative, and the most

:03:20. > :03:22.wonderful human being, it's such a pleasure to be here

:03:23. > :03:27.today, and actually support him and to see HIM the star of the show.

:03:28. > :03:29.So many people give up, don't they?

:04:26. > :04:31.Away from any mist and fog tomorrow, a bright start - if you havd got

:04:32. > :04:33.the fog it could linger through the morning,

:04:34. > :04:35.but I think by lunchtime most places will start to brighten up,

:04:36. > :04:38.and a beautiful afternoon actually; dry and bright, a lot of sunshine,

:04:39. > :04:41.and staying mild, temperatures up at around 16 or 17 degrees.

:04:42. > :04:43.Tuesday another potentially foggy start, but dry with some sunshine;

:04:44. > :04:46.it does turn cooler from Wednesday onwards, with some overnight frosts.

:05:15. > :05:17.broke it felt warm with temperatures up in the high teen, now as we head

:05:18. > :05:21.through this week there is a change inneth wither type, where things

:05:22. > :05:25.will start to feel cooler, we will still see mist, fog and frost around

:05:26. > :05:29.as well, and a lot of dry weather on the cards through much of the week

:05:30. > :05:33.ahead. High pressure still in charge, it is mild and murky and

:05:34. > :05:37.cloudy under that high pressure some breaks in the cloud, we have

:05:38. > :05:41.seen mist and fog patches forming, particularly in east England in the

:05:42. > :05:45.south-east. Locally dense patches of fog likely through into the early

:05:46. > :05:50.hours of Monday. Elsewhere, one or two showers through the Midlands,

:05:51. > :05:53.parts of Wales. Hill fog and mistiness almost anywhere. Mild

:05:54. > :05:54.overnight. You
