:00:36. > :00:42.Ten-year-old Emily wants to be more independent, but when she went

:00:43. > :00:44.to meet her friends at this park, she could not get in.

:00:45. > :00:48.When we first came here, I thought that it was going to be

:00:49. > :00:51.all good, and when we came here it was really bad.

:00:52. > :00:54.Please make it possible so everyone can come in.

:00:55. > :00:57.She had to go back and get her parents to help.

:00:58. > :01:00.She is old enough to come out on her own without us,

:01:01. > :01:03.tied to our apron strings, so it would have been

:01:04. > :01:10.When we came in, saw the cattle grid, it was like, oh,

:01:11. > :01:14.The front wheels of her wheelchair get stuck in the grid.

:01:15. > :01:17.The council told the family it is there to stop dogs getting in,

:01:18. > :01:22.but our experiment showed it is not always effective.

:01:23. > :01:25.Gosport Borough Council told us it has taken the family's complaint

:01:26. > :01:28.very seriously and it has looked into what happened.

:01:29. > :01:30.It says it is disappointed because it has worked hard in recent

:01:31. > :01:34.years to try to improve things for people with disabilities.

:01:35. > :01:38.It says it is inviting the family to become part of future

:01:39. > :01:41.decision-making by joining the local disability access group.

:01:42. > :01:43.If we all work together, things will get done,

:01:44. > :01:48.I think that is very gracious of them, to try and initiate

:01:49. > :01:52.One of the main things they would like to do is make sure

:01:53. > :01:54.play areas in general are more accessible to children

:01:55. > :02:00.with disabilities, as once in this park, there is not one piece

:02:01. > :02:05.I think all parks in general should be made to be completely inclusive

:02:06. > :02:07.and accessible for children of all abilities, because all

:02:08. > :02:11.They all like to get outside, regardless

:02:12. > :02:16.As for the access issue, Emily and her family say a simple

:02:17. > :02:18.gate could fix the problem, allowing Emily to join her

:02:19. > :02:23.friends while keeping four-legged friends out.

:02:24. > :02:26.A man and a woman have been charged with conspiracy to murder

:02:27. > :02:30.It follows a serious assault in Ryde last November that left

:02:31. > :02:38.26-year-old Louise Spence and 49-year-old Anthony Booty
