:00:13. > :00:14.Police have arrested three men for suspected drug offences

:00:15. > :00:16.after a fishing boat was involved in what's described

:00:17. > :00:19.as a "violent collision" in Cowes Harbour overnight.

:00:20. > :00:22.Air sea rescue teams were sent out after three sailors were injured

:00:23. > :00:24.and a fourth was believed to have fallen into the sea

:00:25. > :00:30.These pictures show the badly damaged 20-foot fishing

:00:31. > :00:33.vessel, the Loose Cannon, at Trinity Landing in Cowes.

:00:34. > :00:38.The RNLI say she floated here with the tide after a violent collision.

:00:39. > :00:41.Just before 3am this morning, a man was reported missing,

:00:42. > :00:43.sparking an air and sea search by a coastguard helicopter

:00:44. > :00:49.That search was called off though two hours later

:00:50. > :00:53.Three other men were taken to St Mary's Hospital on the island,

:00:54. > :00:56.suffering from head, spine and chest injuries.

:00:57. > :01:02.Staff from a nearby pub saw events unfold.

:01:03. > :01:06.He said he had friends in a boat - that one of them had a broken back.

:01:07. > :01:09.The first reaction was to go out and help look for

:01:10. > :01:14.We had a gentleman come in with severe head injuries.

:01:15. > :01:22.He'd asked for some assistance and to call the emergency services.

:01:23. > :01:24.Some other staff members, thankfully, managed to locate

:01:25. > :01:30.the boat and gave assistance to those on board that were injured.

:01:31. > :01:32.Tonight, three men from Waterlooville, Southsea

:01:33. > :01:35.and Petersfield have been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs.

:01:36. > :01:41.One of them has also been arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs.

:01:42. > :01:45.It's been announced the leader of West Berkshire Council has died.

:01:46. > :01:47.Roger Croft was left seriously injured in a car crash,

:01:48. > :01:54.His friend, Newbury MP Richard Benyon, said today that it

:01:55. > :01:57.would be hard to find a more decent or kind person.

:01:58. > :02:00.Leaders of the Anglican and Muslim communities have met to call

:02:01. > :02:02.for unity in the wake of the terrorist attack

:02:03. > :02:10.The Bishop of Portsmouth visited the Imam at the Wessex

:02:11. > :02:12.Jamaat Community mosque, in Fareham, and they pledged

:02:13. > :02:15."not to allow the voices of fear and hatred to divide us."

:02:16. > :02:24.It is indeed our great honour and privilege to have you coming

:02:25. > :02:28.to offer your prayers and support to the Muslim community.

:02:29. > :02:31.It's times like these when gestures and generosity have more

:02:32. > :02:38.There's much more that unites us in this country,

:02:39. > :02:44.people of faith and of none, than divides us.

:02:45. > :02:46.And so, being together today gives substance to that.

:02:47. > :02:56.This is not just words, but by being together, we indicate that.

:02:57. > :02:59.Since the terror attack on the Houses of Parliament that

:03:00. > :03:02.left four dead and at least 50 injured from several

:03:03. > :03:04.nationalities, both faiths have been praying for them

:03:05. > :03:15.We also mention special appreciation for our friends from the faith

:03:16. > :03:17.community and non-faith community and the neighbours who have been

:03:18. > :03:21.able to post us cards and some of them even send text messages

:03:22. > :03:23.and phone calls, which I really found very powerful that,

:03:24. > :03:26.as Muslims in a minority in this area, this is a very

:03:27. > :03:32.This meeting is more than just a symbol of unity.

:03:33. > :03:36.It sends a powerful message from the pulpit and the minbar -

:03:37. > :03:44.Muslims do not recognise this barbarity as part of their faith.

:03:45. > :03:47.Brick by brick, as they try to tear down this bridge, it is only

:03:48. > :03:50.through our relationship as friends in the faith communities

:03:51. > :03:52.that we will be able to cement these bricks.

:03:53. > :03:54.We share a common respect for the dignity and sanctity

:03:55. > :04:07.Diversity is not a problem, division is.

:04:08. > :04:16.I hope you enjoyed the sunshine today.
