:00:22. > :00:26.The cause of the fire at Redbridge Towers is not yet known.

:00:27. > :00:30.It's thought to have started on the 12th floor

:00:31. > :00:33.of the prominent tower block, near the city centre.

:00:34. > :00:35.Viewers sent us these pictures as black smoke could be

:00:36. > :00:41.Emergency services are at the scene, and we'll have more on this

:00:42. > :00:46.in our late news this evening at 10.20.

:00:47. > :00:48.Police figures show nearly 1,000 cyclists were killed

:00:49. > :00:51.or seriosuly injured on the roads of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight,

:00:52. > :00:54.In response, a new cycling safety campaign has been launched.

:00:55. > :00:59.This weekend, thousands of cyclists took to the roads of the New Forest

:01:45. > :01:47.The event here has the challenge of keeping the public and a total of

:01:48. > :01:50.4,000 cyclists safe as they take to the forest's roads over

:01:51. > :01:55.Please remember you represent not only yourself today but

:01:56. > :01:59.In previous years there's been tension with locals.

:02:00. > :02:02.Organisers say they've been working hard to minimise disruption

:02:03. > :02:05.and urging riders to follow the forest cycling code,

:02:06. > :02:10.Obviously they're cycling in the national park,

:02:11. > :02:14.there will be animals on the road and also be respectful

:02:15. > :02:20.The National Park Authority says mutual tolerance

:02:21. > :02:23.between road users is needed, a sentiment echoed by

:02:24. > :02:26.Hampshire Police as they seek to make cycling a safer experience

:03:21. > :03:25.Last year, her cocker spaniel Pippa had to be put asleep

:03:26. > :03:30.She was showing signs of kidney damage.

:03:31. > :03:36.Not long after that only a few days later despite

:03:37. > :03:40.trying many intensive treatments we unfortunately lost her.

:03:41. > :03:44.The disease was first identified in the UK in November 2012.

:03:45. > :03:47.Since then there have been 94 confirmed cases.

:03:48. > :03:53.Many of the early cases were reported in the New Forest.

:03:54. > :03:55.Hampshire is still top of the county list in

:03:56. > :03:59.However in number of cases that we've been confirming in Hampshire

:04:00. > :04:04.The first Alabama Rot conference will be held in May,

:04:05. > :04:08.with scientists from human medicine teaming up with vets and private

:04:09. > :04:11.practice to discuss ways to learn more about the disease.

:04:12. > :04:14.We've done a lot of work over the past four

:04:15. > :04:17.years to try and understand more about this disease process.

:04:18. > :04:20.Unfortunately at this stage, we still don't know what the trigger

:04:21. > :04:27.Identifying the cause is the start of identifying the cure.
