:00:05. > :00:08.Good Evening. A 72-year-old man has died in a

:00:08. > :00:11.collision between his car and a lorry in Dorset. It happened just

:00:11. > :00:14.after 1:00pm this afternoon on the A35 near the Monkeys Jump

:00:14. > :00:21.roundabout at Dorchester. Roads in the area were closed for four hours

:00:21. > :00:23.while an investigation was carried out.

:00:23. > :00:25.Around 40 jobs have been lost in Plymouth after an electrical

:00:25. > :00:35.contractor ceased trading. Administrators say that Belliver

:00:35. > :00:36.

:00:36. > :00:41.based BFEC is likely to go into liquidation.

:00:41. > :00:45.There was little sign of activity at the unit here today, and not

:00:45. > :00:50.because of the Bank Holiday. The business has confirmed it has

:00:50. > :00:56.ceased trading, news already delivered to around 40 staff, most

:00:56. > :01:01.of whom had been made redundant. The company began 22 years ago and

:01:01. > :01:09.grew to provide a range of building services. It is understood to have

:01:09. > :01:15.been in difficulty for some time. A high in contracts seem to have come

:01:15. > :01:19.-- seemed to have come too late. There were problems with companies

:01:19. > :01:25.paying late when they allowed cash. A meeting is said to be held next

:01:25. > :01:27.week, when a liquidator will be appointed.

:01:28. > :01:31.A charity that provides emotional and practical support to vulnerable

:01:31. > :01:34.women in Devon and Cornwall is to close. Platform 51 has 15 centres

:01:34. > :01:40.across the UK but is shutting three of them, including Plymouth and

:01:40. > :01:44.Truro. Here is our Cornwall reporter.

:01:44. > :01:49.Over the years, the charity has helped thousands of women rebuild

:01:49. > :01:53.their lives, and these are just some of them. This woman has had a

:01:53. > :01:57.mental health problems since she was 15. She says the service has

:01:57. > :02:02.been a lifeline. I have been through many youth groups over the

:02:02. > :02:09.years and there is nothing like this. It has got me out of the

:02:09. > :02:13.House. I have made new friends. It is great. Tracey has spent most of

:02:13. > :02:18.her care here and it has affected her life with her own children. She

:02:18. > :02:23.does not want to be identified but wants to talk about how the charity

:02:23. > :02:27.affected her. I had quite a hard life and very low self-esteem. They

:02:27. > :02:31.have come and help me with all of my problems and helped me do

:02:31. > :02:36.letters to people who are important to me. This has helped me with

:02:36. > :02:40.every issue I have had in my life. As well as offering practical

:02:40. > :02:45.advice, there are regular meetings and workshops. These women say this

:02:45. > :02:50.has helped them build a support network and make friends. Today we

:02:50. > :02:54.were not allowed to film inside the building. The charity says the

:02:54. > :02:58.reasons for closing the buildings are financial. They said that they

:02:58. > :03:06.ended last year with a substantial deficit and are having to review

:03:06. > :03:10.the structure. It is such a valuable service. There is nothing

:03:10. > :03:16.else like it. This woman has had drug and alcohol problems and is

:03:16. > :03:21.now living in emergency B&B accommodation. She says she has

:03:21. > :03:24.real fears for the future. Easter weekend walkers are being

:03:24. > :03:26.warned to look out for ticks. The bloodsucking insects live in the

:03:26. > :03:36.countryside and carry bacteria which can cause Lyme disease.

:03:36. > :03:37.

:03:37. > :03:43.Incidents are rising. This type of terrain is we're ticks

:03:43. > :03:49.up bride. Although the weather is hardly barmy, they will feed off

:03:49. > :03:54.both humans and animals. There has been an increase in the tick

:03:54. > :04:02.population. The point is not to worry about Ed. Enjoy the

:04:02. > :04:08.countryside but be aware. -- pourri about it. Ticks are a tiny -- worry

:04:08. > :04:13.about it. Ticks can transmit Lyme disease, a bacterial infection that

:04:13. > :04:19.can be serious if the Tate is not removed promptly. This woman thinks

:04:19. > :04:24.that she might have contracted the disease while gardening. A a really

:04:24. > :04:28.debilitating disease. It can either come on either slowly or it can hit

:04:28. > :04:32.you really hard. People get housebound and they cannot think

:04:32. > :04:38.and it is very difficult for the doctors to recognise. It can ruin

:04:38. > :04:44.your life. Not all ticks carry the disease, but the number of cases in

:04:44. > :04:53.England and Wales is estimated between 20031000 a year. Meanwhile,

:04:53. > :05:00.efforts are -- between 20031000 a year. Meanwhile abroad are being

:05:00. > :05:03.made to help prevent. -- meanwhile efforts are being made to help

:05:03. > :05:09.prevent the disease. There are simple ways to prevent being bitten.

:05:09. > :05:15.They include tucking trousers into socks and considering using insect

:05:15. > :05:22.repellent and checking your pets. The message is to enjoy the outside

:05:22. > :05:24.but when it is time to go home, remember to check for ticks.

:05:24. > :05:27.The anti capitalist movement Occupy Totnes has started another protest

:05:27. > :05:31.against global capitalism. The pressure group has set up camp on

:05:31. > :05:33.Veer Island in the town. Organisers have not said how long they plan to

:05:33. > :05:42.stay there. Last December, South Hams Council gained a possession

:05:42. > :05:45.order to clear a previous camp. Onto sport, and Exeter Chiefs

:05:45. > :05:49.narrowly lost their European Rugby Challenge Cup quarter-final tie in

:05:49. > :05:52.Paris last night against Stade Francais by 22 points to 17. Chiefs

:05:52. > :05:54.were nine-six up at the break and were further boosted when Sireli

:05:54. > :05:58.Nackerlevooki burst through late in the second half for the Devon

:05:58. > :06:01.side's only try. But Exeter's hopes of a semi final place were dashed

:06:01. > :06:02.when Stade went over in the last minute of the game to snatch

:06:02. > :06:05.victory. In Good Friday's football, Torquay

:06:05. > :06:15.United stay second in League Two after beating Accrington Stanley by

:06:15. > :06:15.

:06:16. > :06:20.a goal to nil at Plainmoor. would be pretty pleased normally

:06:20. > :06:25.and that is how you have to approach it. It was a great

:06:25. > :06:29.experience for us. We were a little disappointed that the boys were pro

:06:29. > :06:39.-- so hard and came so close but you cannot judge everything on a

:06:39. > :06:42.scoreboard. In Good Friday's football, Torquay

:06:42. > :06:45.United stay second in League Two after beating Accrington Stanley by

:06:45. > :06:48.a goal to nil at Plainmoor. Rene Howe was the difference between the

:06:48. > :06:50.sides to give manager Martin Ling good cause to celebrate his second

:06:50. > :06:54.Manager of the Month award. Plymouth Argyle gained a vital

:06:54. > :06:57.point at Hereford in a one-all draw. An own goal gave the Pilgrims the

:06:57. > :07:00.lead, but they missed the chance to go two-nil ahead when Simon Walton

:07:00. > :07:02.missed a penalty kick. Exeter City's League One status is

:07:02. > :07:05.almost at an end after they went almost at an end after they went

:07:05. > :07:07.down one-nil at Scunthorpe United to keep them next to the bottom.

:07:07. > :07:10.A look at the weather now and generally cloudy overnight with

:07:10. > :07:13.clear spells but some rain possible. It's milder than recently with

:07:13. > :07:15.temperatures down to five Celsius. Tomorrow, a cloudy start, with

:07:15. > :07:18.patchy light rain in places. Becoming drier later. Maximum
