:00:13. > :00:15.Good evening. 150 people st`ged a peaceful protest today in Exeter

:00:16. > :00:18.against the closure of the city s women's refuge. The facilitx has

:00:19. > :00:21.helped thousands of victims of domestic abuse but has had to shut

:00:22. > :00:32.its doors because of changes in the way the service is provided. Chris

:00:33. > :00:38.Lyddon reports. A mother's the show of support for women at risk and for

:00:39. > :00:43.the city's refuge which closes tomorrow. In future, victims of

:00:44. > :00:49.abuse will get only general accommodation. They will go into

:00:50. > :00:54.temporary accommodation likd a bed and breakfast, we do not fedl that

:00:55. > :01:01.is as safe and environment `s a refuge would be. I think th`t is

:01:02. > :01:07.what we need to provide. Two women are killed by a partner or former

:01:08. > :01:11.partner every week in the UK. The refuge of I did not only

:01:12. > :01:16.accommodation but specialist support. No`one from the Cotnty

:01:17. > :01:19.Council was available today for interview but in a statement said it

:01:20. > :01:26.was the result of the changd provider not as a result of cuts in

:01:27. > :01:30.council spending. It also s`id the new provider was committed to

:01:31. > :01:33.finding safe accommodation for women and children. EasyJet has l`unched

:01:34. > :01:37.flights from Jersey to London Gatwick today but says it h`s no

:01:38. > :01:41.plans to do the same from Gternsey or Newquay. It comes after Flybe

:01:42. > :01:45.pulled out of the Channel Islands yesterday having sold some of its

:01:46. > :01:48.landing slots to EasyJet. Flybe will continue to run flights frol

:01:49. > :01:59.Cornwall to Gatwick until October. Edward Sault reports. Touchhng down

:02:00. > :02:04.in the spring sunshine this morning, this was the moment easyJet's first

:02:05. > :02:13.flight from London Gatwick `rrived in Jersey, to a warm and wet

:02:14. > :02:18.welcome. The airline had decided not to operate flights from Guernsey to

:02:19. > :02:23.the capital or from Newquay to London, claiming it was not

:02:24. > :02:29.commercially viable. Our aircraft are a lot bigger than those flown by

:02:30. > :02:35.FlyBe, the economics did not work for us at this time. Are thdre any

:02:36. > :02:56.funds for other routes, for example Exeter? We have not, that is not

:02:57. > :03:06.strategic Faraz. `` for ours. Some insist there is enough tradd for the

:03:07. > :03:16.carriers. Between EEE and e`syJet we have wonderful coverage. EasyJet

:03:17. > :03:21.bosses say they will monitor the success of this route and h`ve not

:03:22. > :03:28.ruled out introducing more flights to London in the future. Thd people

:03:29. > :03:30.of Porthleven have been out in force this weekend celebrating thd repair

:03:31. > :03:34.and reopening of their harbour after the winter storms. A special Lido

:03:35. > :03:41.Day has been held to mark the occasion. Greg Wade was there. It

:03:42. > :03:47.was seven weeks ago that thdy were pounded by a terrible storm. Many

:03:48. > :03:54.fishing boats were lost or badly damaged. Now it has reopened for

:03:55. > :04:00.business. It has given the day back to the people to enjoy and get over

:04:01. > :04:07.all the bad days we have had. It was a big celebration to say we are over

:04:08. > :04:15.it all and we will now move forward. The idea is to raise money for a

:04:16. > :04:24.fisherman's fund. Many say the storms have brought the comlunity

:04:25. > :04:30.together and some today as ` way of bringing back the harbour after the

:04:31. > :04:35.storm damage. We had everyone rallying around, people comhng out

:04:36. > :04:43.to give food and drinks to the Coast Guard, the police and the Coast

:04:44. > :04:48.Guard and the fishermen as well After the winter we have had, the

:04:49. > :04:55.upset of the storms, we thotght it would be a nice way to welcome

:04:56. > :04:59.spring. In the next fortnight they hope to lower their appeared fishing

:05:00. > :05:02.boats back into the restored harbour. Some lovely sunshine this

:05:03. > :05:13.weekend, will it continue? Here s Holly. Good evening. Many of ours

:05:14. > :05:19.had a lovely weekend. Tonight we introduce a new element into the

:05:20. > :05:25.forecast in the form of heavy and thundery showers. Some low cloud and

:05:26. > :05:31.mist at first this evening hn some spots. We will see an incre`sed risk

:05:32. > :05:36.of showers. The showers will be in place from the start of the day

:05:37. > :05:45.tomorrow. These could be he`vy and thundery at times and will become

:05:46. > :05:50.more intensive later in the day The rest of the working week will have

:05:51. > :05:55.more bright spells but again the further risk of rain or heavy

:05:56. > :06:06.showers. That is all for now. Good evening.

:06:07. > :06:17.Good evening. It has been the warmest day of 2014 so far. It has

:06:18. > :06:21.been distinctly chilly on North Sea coasts of eastern Scotland and

:06:22. > :06:25.north-east England. That chilly breeze and cloud that has been

:06:26. > :06:31.depressing those temperatures will return more widely, turning misty

:06:32. > :06:36.and murky. For the south we could import a few sharp showers across

:06:37. > :06:41.from France. So, that mist and murk are the main thing to watch out for

:06:42. > :06:47.tomorrow. Some hazy sunshine west. A frost

:06:48. > :06:52.even for Shetland. Hazy sunshine for a time in Northern Ireland. Showers

:06:53. > :06:56.are moving northwards. Behind it, cloudy, but reasonably bright

:06:57. > :07:00.weather. I don't think there'll be as much sunshine as today, so it

:07:01. > :07:04.will not be as warm. We are looking out to this system out towards the

:07:05. > :07:06.south-west, which
