:01:54. > :01:57.A family was forced to flee a burning house in the early hours of

:01:58. > :01:59.this morning when the buildhng was struck by lightning. 50 firdfighters

:02:00. > :02:02.tackled the blaze in South Lolton. Nobody was injured but the house was

:02:21. > :02:28.The owners were in residencd but they were fortunate. The smoke

:02:29. > :02:32.detectors in the house were activated and they were abld to get

:02:33. > :02:38.out quickly. They have been looked after at a neighbour's housd.

:02:42. > :02:44.just before 4.30am this morning and they then saw smoke coming from the

:02:45. > :02:47.roof. Neighbours had been woken by the thunder storm and heard the

:02:48. > :02:49.commotion. The fire was eventually put out but

:02:50. > :02:59.I got out of bed and heard this humongous crack. The girls had a

:03:00. > :03:06.lady shouting. I heard a lady shouting, hello. The woman was

:03:07. > :03:12.running down the roads, sliding a car for help.

:03:13. > :03:15.The fire was put out but thd first floor of the house was badlx

:03:16. > :03:20.damaged. The family paid trhbute to the firefighters who help them save

:03:21. > :03:24.most of their belongings. `` you helped them.

:03:25. > :03:28.A service has been held in Torquay to remember the US servicemdn who

:03:29. > :03:30.left from the harbour, for the Normandy landings. More than

:04:54. > :04:55.through Monday and Tuesday. We do have the risk of thunder.

:05:41. > :05:45.found. Most of us are dry by the end of the night and relatively mild.

:05:46. > :05:49.Starting Sunday in Scotland, still some showers around in the south and

:05:50. > :05:53.the west. I suspect the north and the east are getting off to a decent

:05:54. > :05:56.start to the day. The North West, there may be a bit more cloud.
