:00:59. > :01:13.homeless after a bad break`tp with his partner. He suffers frol bipolar
:01:14. > :01:15.and admits he has had probldms with drugs. He is constantly looking
:01:16. > :01:18.around because he fears somdone will take away what that all possessions
:01:19. > :01:21.he has. There are so many aspects to it, and it is a Catch`22. If you
:01:22. > :01:25.don't have somewhere to livd, unless you can lie and prove that like you
:01:26. > :01:30.won't get a job to start with, even agency work. The charity in Exeter
:01:31. > :01:35.that helps homeless people says the average number of rough sledpers
:01:36. > :01:39.coming to their centre on a daily basis is around 35. Over thd last
:01:40. > :01:43.three months it has been as many as 80 days. There is a rise and
:01:44. > :01:47.although we are getting people off the streets faster and getthng them
:01:48. > :01:54.into accommodation, we still see more and more people who fall out of
:01:55. > :01:58.accommodation, building up debts because of high property prhces The
:01:59. > :02:02.Freedom Centre in Barnstapld has offered extra services with the
:02:03. > :02:05.number of people needing help doubling. It might have been
:02:06. > :02:09.historically because of substance abuse or alcohol. It is not those
:02:10. > :02:13.things any more, people falling to rough sleeping from a number of
:02:14. > :02:18.circumstances and it is dev`stating for them. He is a qualified plumber
:02:19. > :02:22.and is currently trying to get his life back together again. One
:02:23. > :02:25.council has told us the resources now needed from local authorities
:02:26. > :02:27.for homelessness could impact other services.

:03:58. > :04:02.night`vision goggles and grdnade rounds. The fear was the endmy could
:04:03. > :04:11.use these to create improvised explosive devices. A jackal, similar
:04:12. > :04:14.to this one, was part of thd patrol. It was being driven by Corporal
:04:15. > :04:19.William Whatley, on the right here. The court heard he had only driven
:04:20. > :04:22.them for five times on deployment although he was not qualifidd and
:04:23. > :04:25.didn't have a driving licence. He said he was driving because he took
:04:26. > :04:31.the lead and as colleagues were tired. The jackal started ldaking
:04:32. > :04:35.fluid and stopped. Two men, one Griffiths, got underneath to look.
:04:36. > :04:45.Corporal Wardley told the court he looked under the seat to turn the
:04:46. > :04:48.engine off and suddenly the vehicle rolled back. The other man was freed
:04:49. > :04:50.but Griffiths was trapped. The inquest heard how his colle`gues
:04:51. > :04:52.formed a scrum to push the jackal, a vehicle weighing seven tonnds.
:04:53. > :04:56.Senior aircraft and Griffiths was flown by helicopter to camp Bastian
:04:57. > :04:59.but died of his injuries. Hhs inquest continues at County Hall.
