:00:32. > :00:39.Derrel Weaver is a well`known and well liked man in the village. He is

:00:40. > :00:51.a tree surgeon and an Elvis impersonator. 24 hours ago, at 30

:00:52. > :00:57.last night, and people in the village walk up to a police presence

:00:58. > :01:03.and a helicopter. There werd heavily armed police officers. I spoke to a

:01:04. > :01:07.police officer earlier who was in charge of the investigation.

:01:08. > :01:10.We know he didn?t start the day off planning the incident to occur

:01:11. > :01:14.We just want to resolve this matter safely.

:01:15. > :01:17.He is a licensed fire arms holder and it is something that we need

:01:18. > :01:39.What is the latest? There are a number of heavily armed, spdcially

:01:40. > :01:48.trained priests officers `` police officers. They put a number of

:01:49. > :01:55.weapons into a large van and then they left the area. We are not any

:01:56. > :02:03.further ahead in finding out what has happened. Later tonight I will

:02:10. > :02:11.The Prisons Minister has ordered a review,

:02:12. > :02:14.after inmates who escaped onto the roof of Dartmoor jail dtring

:02:15. > :02:18.The Ministry of Justice says it has a duty of care, but the minhster,

:02:19. > :02:20.Jeremy Wright, described the incident as foolish.

:02:21. > :02:23.It has been holding prisoners since the 1800s, but you can't

:02:24. > :02:26.imagine there was much symp`thy back then for misbehaving convicts.

:02:27. > :02:30.But when prisoners here clilbed onto the roof during last week's heat

:02:31. > :02:36.The Ministry of Justice says that is because there is a duty of care

:02:37. > :02:38.But the Prison Officers Association described the situation

:02:39. > :02:44.And now it seems the Prisons Minister agrees.

:02:45. > :02:56.But on the streets of Princdtown, home to the jail,

:02:57. > :03:03.If they get damage to their skin it is going to cost

:03:04. > :03:10.If they chose to go up therd, it is their hard luck.

:03:11. > :03:16.They made the decision to put themselves

:03:17. > :03:20.in a position of risk and to try and keep them safe by giving thdm sun

:03:21. > :03:24.On the other hand, prison officers do have a dtty of

:03:25. > :03:27.care and they have to do thd best for the people in their charge.

:03:28. > :03:30.It is their own fault if they go up there like th`t.

:03:31. > :03:32.I think they should be bulldozed off.

:03:33. > :03:35.Now, I think it is a very sensible thing to offer thel.

:03:36. > :03:40.It saves them getting cancer of the skin or something like that.

:03:41. > :03:43.Today, the Ministry of Justice clahmed that

:03:44. > :03:46.sun cream had only be discussed as part of a negotiating tactic

:03:47. > :03:49.But that has not stopped thd Prisons Minister from saying he wants to

:03:50. > :03:52.order an immediate review, to make sure that what he describes as such

:04:12. > :04:19.And God will not tolerate shn in his presence.

:04:20. > :04:21.Depending on your views, he is either a messenger

:04:22. > :04:28.Michael does admit that his preaching does sometimes offend

:04:29. > :04:32.passers`by, but he says this is more of an issue for them than hhm.

:04:33. > :04:35.I have the freedom of speech to come and preach the

:04:36. > :04:38.gospel of Jesus Christ in this high street or any other high street

:04:39. > :04:45.This preacher does carry his own camera for his own protection,

:04:46. > :04:49.he says, from those who confront him about his outspoken views.

:04:50. > :04:53.But now the police are colldcting videos from passers`by who `re

:04:54. > :04:59.What do you say to the allegation that this is

:05:00. > :05:06.I believe it is about getting the right balance between free

:05:07. > :05:09.speech and the right of people to come into Taunton without vdrbal

:05:10. > :05:13.Should you be asking people to video him?

:05:14. > :05:16.We're not asking people to video him, but if they do so I will be

:05:17. > :05:22.There is no doubt that some are insulted by his views,

:05:23. > :05:27.especially when he openly criticises gay people walking by.

:05:28. > :05:30.Traders on Taunton's high street say he is bad for business.

:05:31. > :05:33.I will preach in prison if I have to.

:05:34. > :05:35.But this former paratrooper says he will continue preaching

:05:36. > :05:43.Though when it comes to poptlarity, maybe he could learn

:05:44. > :05:48.from those whose public performances are a little quieter.
