:00:43. > :00:46.2000 war memorials all over the county, and it is an opporttnity for

:00:47. > :00:53.Devon, as it were, to remember. It is part of a much bigger thhng, of

:00:54. > :00:59.course, but it is important that we do this here in the big `` hn the

:01:00. > :01:15.cathedral for the county so it becomes everybody's event, not just

:01:16. > :01:24.our own. And in the dramatic setting of hell again gardens a the`tre

:01:25. > :01:32.company is telling the storx. `` Heligan.

:01:33. > :01:41.What they have achieved is giving somebody and experience of what it

:01:42. > :01:44.was like 100 Years Of Solittde. It is an atmosphere, full of

:01:45. > :01:49.anticipation of something awful very sombre, everybody trying to be

:01:50. > :02:00.Mary, the music people peephng waiting but we were all waiting for

:02:01. > :02:09.something awful to happen. `` merry. We were trying to get closer to the

:02:10. > :02:14.humanity of these people. In acts of remembrance we have a unifidd sense

:02:15. > :02:24.of men, a list of names, all in uniform, all the same. We w`nted to

:02:25. > :02:33.turn them into individuals. SINGING

:02:34. > :02:42.I think we don't learn the lessons of history and I think perh`ps we

:02:43. > :02:44.send young boys into the sale situation.

:02:45. > :02:46.And we'll have full coveragd of events to mark

:02:47. > :02:48.the anniversary on Spotlight tomorrow, as well as special reports

:02:49. > :02:55.In other news, a Devonport`based survey ship is helping to bring home

:02:56. > :02:58.Britons caught up in the increasing unrest in Libya.

:02:59. > :02:59.HMS Enterprise, which has been on operations

:03:00. > :03:02.in the Mediterranean, arrivdd in the capital, Tripoli, today.

:03:03. > :03:05.A number of British citizens have been transferred to the ship by boat

:03:06. > :03:14.It's been a golden end to the Commonwealth Games for

:03:15. > :03:17.Tom Daley retained his individual diving title

:03:18. > :03:19.in fine style, destroying a field that included fellow Plymothian

:03:20. > :03:23.And there were dramatic finhshes for two of Devon's other medal

:03:24. > :03:25.hopefuls after an incredible night at the Games.

:03:26. > :03:36.There is a new kid on the block What a dive

:03:37. > :03:38.from the 14`year`old from Plymouth! But Tom Daley is not ready

:03:39. > :03:45.to move a creditable ninth in his fhrst

:03:46. > :03:49.major games, Daley was unstoppable. Tens, tens, tens, it is incredible.

:03:50. > :03:55.Right, come on, judges, you might as well, that is perfect.

:03:56. > :04:01.In fact he barely needed to bother with his last dive to retain

:04:02. > :04:05.the crown he won four years ago in Delhi.

:04:06. > :04:09.a gold medal more easily th`n that in international competition.

:04:10. > :04:14.pressure on anything I do when I am diving and it

:04:15. > :04:18.be in a competition, that is when

:04:19. > :04:21.On the track Jo Pavey put in a superb performance to

:04:22. > :04:23.and claim a bronze medal. She refused to

:04:24. > :04:26.and produced one of those shouting`at`the`TV moments

:04:27. > :04:28.that can make sport so spechal. She is going to be OK,

:04:29. > :04:33.bronze medal for Jo Pavey. And this just ten months after

:04:34. > :04:38.giving birth to the 40`year`old's achievements

:04:39. > :04:39.all the more remarkable. I did not think it

:04:40. > :04:45.in this. To get a medal is unbelievable, I am

:04:46. > :04:49.so happy and grateful to evdrybody. Devon's Giselle Ansley was just 17

:04:50. > :04:52.seconds away from a famous gold medal but favourites

:04:53. > :04:56.Australia forced a penalty shootout and unfortunately for England they

:04:57. > :05:01.came up just short. They still go home, of course,

:05:02. > :05:11.with a well`deserved silver medal for all of their efforts.

:05:12. > :05:20.Good evening. Today was bright and breezy with a few showers. Tonight

:05:21. > :05:27.the breeze will be easing down but we see the continued risk of a few

:05:28. > :05:33.showers here and there. Lows between 12 and 14 Celsius come the darly

:05:34. > :05:37.hours. For most of us it is a bright start tomorrow, less breezy than

:05:38. > :05:41.today but the risk of showers persisting. They should be fairly

:05:42. > :05:45.well scattered and we should see plenty of sonic `` sunny spdlls A

:05:46. > :05:51.better chance of avoiding them through the Dieter `` the d`ylight

:05:52. > :05:57.hours for the Channel Islands. Through the middle part of next week

:05:58. > :06:07.we see the increasing risk of heavy, thundery showers.

:06:08. > :06:13.Good evening. Some of us have had a sunny weekend but for others it has

:06:14. > :06:20.not stopped raining for the last couple of days, you can see where on

:06:21. > :06:22.the satellite picture, big swell of cloud, dominating
