:03:17. > :03:23.Cornwall Council has around 30,000 people on its housing waiting list.

:03:48. > :03:57.We have policies that protect six AONBs, our SSSIs all those protected
:03:58. > :04:01.landscapes, but there are still housing needs within those AONBs.
:04:02. > :04:07.And getting the quality of design is really important.
:04:08. > :04:09.Affordability is a key issue in Cornwall.
:04:10. > :04:12.In 2011, the National Housing Federation
:04:13. > :04:17.found that average house prices here were 13 times the average wage.
:04:18. > :04:22.In Bodmin, the property market is buoyant, with prices that
:04:23. > :04:27.Definitely a good idea to protect the attractive,
:04:28. > :04:30.rural and coastal areas of Cornwall but there is a big demand for Bodmin
:04:31. > :04:36.with many employment opportunities and a shortfall of housing here.

:04:42. > :04:44.If Cornwall Council gets its way, 47,000 new homes will be built
:04:45. > :04:52.If the campaigners get theirs, it will will be far fewer.
