:01:31. > :01:32.Today was not just a celebration of a thrilling defeat

:01:33. > :01:38.of Wasps but a culmination of passion and perseverance.

:01:39. > :01:40.Rebranded and reborn, the Exeter Chiefs have enjoyed

:03:18. > :03:21.of yesterday wearing a white t-shirt and khaki coloured shorts.

:03:22. > :03:25.Teams from the Devon and Cornwall police specialist search unit have

:03:26. > :03:28.been looking for traces of the 24-year-old today

:03:29. > :03:33.Some tourism leaders and economists are predicting a labour shortage

:03:34. > :03:37.in the tourist trade in the south west after Brexit.

:03:38. > :03:40.The industry relies on many European staff and as our home affairs

:03:41. > :03:45.correspondent Simon Hall reports, there are fears there won't be

:03:46. > :04:00.This inn relies on European workers and the manager feels

:04:01. > :04:03.if the numbers coming into Britain fall after Brexit.

:04:04. > :04:08.People going to stay in a hotel or, dare I say, going into hospital

:04:09. > :04:12.might find there are less staff there because those sort

:04:13. > :04:14.of place there have European staff working there.

:04:15. > :04:23.Only a short drive away at this hotel, they believe

:04:24. > :04:32.It is quite difficult because there are not many English people that are

:04:33. > :04:37.willing to work in this eerie soap, basically we are covering their

:04:38. > :04:39.spots. We're not taking any jobs, we are just taking the jobs which are

:04:40. > :04:43.available. Only a short drive away

:04:44. > :04:46.at this hotel, they believe they will still have plenty

:04:47. > :04:48.of good-quality staff after Brexit because

:04:49. > :04:50.they pride themselves The local kids, they are either

:04:51. > :04:55.going to be customers or staff, We want them to come in and get

:04:56. > :05:02.jobs and earn money, and get developed and trained,

:05:03. > :05:14.and get a career in hospitality. We do full training here. We are

:05:15. > :05:19.constantly looking for new staff and there are lots of great new

:05:20. > :05:22.positions. And it means a lot to you to have a job like this? Yes, it

:05:23. > :05:25.does. But one south-west economist

:05:26. > :05:27.believes that overall there will be issues in finding staff

:05:28. > :05:32.for the tourist trade after Brexit. I think it's quite possible that

:05:33. > :05:34.there will be significant labour shortages after we come

:05:35. > :05:36.out of Europe. Some of the Eastern European

:05:37. > :05:41.labour won't be available, some will go back to Europe,

:05:42. > :05:50.others won't come. The Conservatives say they will

:05:51. > :06:02.deliver Brexit and reduce net emigration...

:06:03. > :06:31.The Liberal Democrats have promised...

:06:32. > :06:42.Immigration has been a contentious issue in politics in recent years

:06:43. > :06:46.but what happens with a number of people coming into the country

:06:47. > :06:50.after Brexit, the population of the south-west is still expected

:06:51. > :06:57.It is predicted to rise by up to 20% in the next ten years,

:06:58. > :07:01.according to the Office for National Statistics.

:07:02. > :07:03.The large majority of that is due to migration from the

:07:04. > :07:05.rest of the UK, not overseas and most

:07:06. > :07:13.People have lined the route of the south west rail line today

:07:14. > :07:16.to catch a glimpse of the only steam locomotive to have been built

:07:17. > :07:23.This was the Tornado as she went through Exeter today.

:07:24. > :07:28.She entered main line service in 2008 but today is the first time

:07:29. > :07:30.she crossed the Tamar into Cornwall to spend the week at the Bodmin

:07:31. > :07:33.and Wenford Railway carrying passengers for the first few

:07:34. > :07:43.Time now for a look at the weather with Alexis.

:07:44. > :07:54.We've had a good deal of dry weather today. Some brighter spells as well.

:07:55. > :08:00.There is still the risk of rain tonight and coastal mist.

:08:01. > :08:04.Temperatures stay in double figures. With a fairly light south-westerly

:08:05. > :08:08.winds. Through the morning tomorrow, there will be cloud but we hope that

:08:09. > :08:13.will thin and raped to allow for sunshine in some places. Low cloud

:08:14. > :08:21.will linger in the South West. They may be coastal mist as well. Under

:08:22. > :08:24.the cloud cover, and towards the South West, just a high 14 Celsius.

:08:25. > :08:30.A good deal of cloud tomorrow night will thin and break to allow for

:08:31. > :08:33.clearer skies, high-pressure on Wednesday and Thursday and a lot of

:08:34. > :08:37.settled weather. Sunny spells will break through the cloud cover, there

:08:38. > :08:45.maybe mist and low cloud in places and then this weather front will

:08:46. > :08:48.push through till Friday. Still uncertainty about the timing of the

:08:49. > :08:54.weather front slowed Tuesday tuned to the ball cast throughout the

:08:55. > :08:57.week. Looking ahead to the weekend, the chance of the scattered shower

:08:58. > :09:02.but there will be brighter spells as well. Cloud expected over the next

:09:03. > :09:11.few days. Brighter Sunny spells with cloud breaking and inning in places.

:09:12. > :09:16.Temperatures on Thursday and Friday up to 13 -- 18 or 19 Celsius.

:09:17. > :09:20.Goodbye.
