:01:47. > :01:49.perhaps a little bit better now, but anything to reduce

:01:50. > :01:52.The farmers who brought the application tell me

:01:53. > :01:57.they are disappointed that this decision.

:01:58. > :01:57.They say all they were trying to do was lower the carbon emissions

:01:58. > :02:01.The farm needs energy 24 hours a day.

:02:43. > :02:45.the family of the teenage boy commemorated on the seat.

:02:46. > :02:51.This is not just the story of a bench, but of fate,

:02:52. > :02:58.Archie Thomas died 32 years ago today, at the age of 15.

:02:59. > :03:09.He came with his family to Port Isaac for holidays every year,

:03:10. > :03:15.He liked nothing more than to stand with the fishermen chatting

:03:16. > :03:18.away for half the day, so when he died we wanted

:03:19. > :03:19.to have this memorial bench for him there,

:03:20. > :03:21.something that was so important to him.

:03:22. > :03:24.The bench was found by Cathy, out walking her dogs.

:03:25. > :03:27.There was Archie's bench washed up on the beach.

:03:28. > :03:31.I straightaway saw it was a memorial bench,

:03:32. > :03:34.which I had empathy for the family, because my brother died eight years

:03:35. > :03:38.Which is why I knew this had to be somehow found

:03:39. > :03:50.It is one of those things that has brought us amongst

:03:51. > :03:52.these wonderful people, and also made so many

:03:53. > :03:54.contacts with old friends, it has reopened our eyes

:03:55. > :04:07.Help to get the bench back to Port Isaac came

:04:08. > :04:09.from another North Devon family with their own commemoration bench

:04:10. > :04:14.For them to turn up and find it gone would have been awful for them,

:04:15. > :04:17.so at least they know what has happened to it, they have been able

:04:18. > :04:20.to bring it back to where it is rightfully supposed to be

:04:21. > :04:23.A real sense of homecoming, isn't it?

:04:24. > :04:33.And what a lovely journey it has been for all of us.
