:00:16. > :00:18.Scarlett Keeling who was killed in India in 2008.

:00:19. > :00:23.The 15-year-old was raped and killed in Goa while on a family

:00:24. > :00:28.Two men accused of killing her were acquitted last year.

:00:29. > :00:31.The lawyer representing Scarlett's family has told the BBC that

:00:32. > :00:34.India's Central Bureau of Investigation is now appealing

:00:35. > :00:37.against that acquittal and a hearing is scheduled to take

:00:38. > :00:45.More than 250 performers took to the stage in Ilfracombe today

:00:46. > :00:48.in protest at the closure of North Devon's theatres.

:00:49. > :00:50.The Landmark in the town and Queens Theatre in Barnstaple

:00:51. > :00:54.shut last month after the trust running them went

:00:55. > :00:57.North Devon Council has pledged its commitment to getting

:00:58. > :00:59.the theatres open again as soon as possible.

:01:00. > :01:10.All angry at the news their local theatres have

:01:11. > :01:13.The creative industries bring money into this country, the

:01:14. > :01:17.And although regional theatres don't necessarily get all

:01:18. > :01:19.of that, somewhere like Ilfracombe will.

:01:20. > :01:21.West End theatres of course make billions

:01:22. > :01:24.a year and with those sort of shows and the quality of productions, I am

:01:25. > :01:27.sure that these places could do as well.

:01:28. > :01:30.Those thoughts are backed by the performers who came from across

:01:31. > :01:36.Them not being here would be absolutely devastating to so many

:01:37. > :01:44.So many people have lost their jobs, so many people have lost

:01:45. > :01:50.a home for our classes and it's just such a big thing that it would be

:01:51. > :02:00.It opens so much, not just from being part of a theatre.

:02:01. > :02:02.The musical here is a massive part of

:02:03. > :02:05.what makes the Landmark so special, so to lose it, it's just unthinkable

:02:06. > :02:08.and I think if we can't get it back, Ilfracombe will suffer because

:02:09. > :02:14.North Devon Council has issued a statement saying it is

:02:15. > :02:17.committed to saving the theatres, and hopes to have the keys back next

:02:18. > :02:21.These people are vowing to keep up the pressure to make sure

:02:22. > :02:23.that means the theatre doors would be open again soon.

:02:24. > :02:34.On to football, and Home Park is packed to capacity this afternoon

:02:35. > :02:36.for the match some have described as the biggest Devon derby

:02:37. > :02:44.ever between Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City.

:02:45. > :02:47.Fans were in high spirits as they arrived for the game

:02:48. > :02:54.There's a large police presence in the city with some reports

:02:55. > :02:56.of trouble earlier away from the ground.

:02:57. > :02:58.While Argyle may be nine points ahead of their rivals,
