:00:33. > :00:41.saying he haD achieved considerable change and given the cathedral

:00:44. > :00:46.a greater mission focus, while his preaching ministry has

:00:47. > :00:50.I asked some of the congregation as they arrrived for even song

:00:51. > :00:56.There have been major problems at the cathedral of recent years,

:00:57. > :00:59.and I think that perhaps he has decided that this is the best

:01:00. > :01:01.thing for the cathedral itself and for the whole

:01:02. > :01:06.I'm surprised, because he seems to be doing a good job here.

:01:07. > :01:09.But as everything, there's always time for change.

:01:10. > :01:13.And if it seems like the right change for him, then I think that's

:01:14. > :01:18.I think that all one can do is pray for the Cathedral and all involved

:01:19. > :01:28.I'm sure the bishop knows what he's doing.

:01:29. > :01:30.Today's statement on the diocese's website spoke of the challenges

:01:31. > :01:31.facing the cathedral, not least financial.

:01:32. > :01:33.It said, "While progress has been made, there

:01:34. > :01:41."The Dean's announcement," it said, "Was made in that context."

:01:42. > :01:45.200 young people were screened for heart problems this weekend

:01:46. > :01:47.thanks to a fundraising campaign in memory of a teenager

:01:48. > :01:51.from north Devon who died of an undiagnosed condition.

:01:52. > :01:55.19-year-old Martin Luckett died suddenly in 2005.

:01:56. > :01:58.Since then his mother and sister have fundraised tirelessly so other

:01:59. > :02:01.youngsters can be checked for warning signs.

:02:02. > :02:04.Public Health England says there's no clear evidence that screening

:02:05. > :02:07.children would reduce illness or death but some doctors believe

:02:08. > :02:11.every young person should have the option to be tested

:02:12. > :02:16.You may think that this is a condition that affects

:02:17. > :02:22.But we currently know that at least 12 young people,

:02:23. > :02:25.otherwise fit and healthy, every week die suddenly

:02:26. > :02:29.and these are young people, less than 35 years old.

:02:30. > :02:31.A young boy and his dog from Cornwall had their moment

:02:32. > :02:35.in the main arena at Crufts this evening after reaching the final

:02:36. > :02:38.of the Friends for Life hero dog competition.

:02:39. > :02:42.Caddie is a specially trained autism assistance Labrador from the "Dogs

:02:43. > :02:44.for Good" charity and was given to 13-year-old Joel

:02:45. > :02:49.He helps calm anxiety and carry out everyday tasks.

:02:50. > :02:52.The pair narrowly missed out on the title but to Joel,

:02:53. > :02:56.Caddie is his "guardian angel" and a winner every time.

:02:57. > :03:07.And he gives me safe because I have autism.

:03:08. > :03:11.For me and by husband and my family, it's overwhelming to think

:03:12. > :03:18.that we're here today, because of somebody had said

:03:19. > :03:21.-- that we're here today, because if somebody had said

:03:22. > :03:24.this five years ago, or even four years ago when we first

:03:25. > :03:26.got Caddie, I would have said there's no way we could possibly

:03:27. > :03:30.have been able to come into a place so crowded, with all these bright

:03:31. > :03:33.lights and the noise and everything, but here we are and that's all down

:03:34. > :03:37.The South West's Hindu community has been celebrating the Holi Festival

:04:34. > :04:35.Parts of Devon, Dorset and the Channel Islands hanging

:04:36. > :04:40.Given that sunshine lingering a bit more, we could see highs getting up

:04:41. > :04:42.Cloudier skies then unfortunately for Tuesday

:04:43. > :04:49.Hopefully not too much rain and it does at least stay mild.

:05:27. > :05:30.have seen temperatures of freezing in parts of Northern Ireland. More

:05:35. > :05:37.cities down the five and six m the countryside many of us will see the

:05:38. > :05:44.temperatures a degree or so above freezing, so a slight touch of frost
