:01:04. > :01:06.surrounded by people they don't know, often isolated from the people
:01:07. > :01:10.who love and care for them, because of the distances involved.
:01:11. > :01:13.That means at the end of their lives, when people
:01:14. > :01:16.ought to be comforted, they're going to be alone,
:01:17. > :01:24.Hundreds have already protested at meetings about the closure.
:01:25. > :01:26.The letter from the clergy expresses concern that the Northern Devon
:01:27. > :01:30.Health Care NHS Trust chose to use emergency legislation to close
:01:31. > :01:39.They say that they want to put the care in the community but how
:01:40. > :01:42.can you imagine running around all these roads looking
:01:43. > :01:48.It surely would be much better to have it all in one central
:01:49. > :01:52.If someone's had treatment elsewhere and coming back to Holsworthy,
:01:53. > :01:56.you need that stepping stone before you go home.
:01:57. > :01:59.Well, I think it's disgusting in an area like this where there's
:02:00. > :02:02.so many retired people, the hospital is urgently
:02:03. > :02:09.The trust hasn't responded to the letter yet but many
:02:10. > :02:16.in the Holsworthy parish hope it will reconsider the closure.
:02:17. > :02:19.Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found
:02:20. > :02:24.with significant head injuries near Exeter's Quay car park.
:02:25. > :02:26.The 29-year-old man was found in the early hours of this morning
:02:27. > :02:28.and is now being treated at Plymouth's Derriford Hospital.
:02:29. > :02:31.Police are trying to establish what happened and want to hear
:02:32. > :02:37.MPs in the South West are calling for the Government to review
:02:38. > :02:40.the DVLA's practice of selling drivers' details
:02:41. > :02:47.The issue was debated in Parliament this week after three motorists,
:02:48. > :02:49.who received fines in Torbay, complained to their local MP.
