:00:21. > :00:22.A number of firefighters have been hurt.

:00:23. > :00:24.It's understood one has been taken to hospital with burns and another

:00:25. > :00:26.four firefighters are being treated for smoke inhalation.

:00:27. > :00:30.More than 20 fire engines are at the scene as well as a number

:00:31. > :00:33.A large area of dry heathland is alight with high winds

:00:48. > :00:54.Well, this was far that some people could see as far away as the M5 in

:00:55. > :01:01.Exeter. The late as I have been told is fire crews are now on top of this

:01:02. > :01:05.fire and are damping down. Still 100 fire officers here. This fire is

:01:06. > :01:11.covering a very large area. We heard about those five fire officers who

:01:12. > :01:18.are injured. A short time ago, I was updated on the condition.

:01:19. > :01:26.Unfortunately five of our firefighters suffered smoke

:01:27. > :01:32.inhalation. One of those firefighters suffered minor burns

:01:33. > :01:35.and has been taken to hospital for precautionary checks. Logistically,

:01:36. > :01:41.it is a difficult and challenging place to put out a fire, given its

:01:42. > :01:45.remote location. They have had to bring several water carriers to try

:01:46. > :01:50.to fight this fire. We will continue to dampen the area overnight and

:01:51. > :01:58.well into the morning. Watch out for those lords hopefully reopening in

:01:59. > :02:15.the morning. We will have the latest on that in our news.

:02:16. > :02:18.Meanwhile, three people were taken to hospital after a fire at a hotel

:02:19. > :02:21.in Torquay last night which police believe was started deliberately.

:02:24. > :02:27.More than 100 young farmers from Wales staying

:02:28. > :02:29.there while in the resort for their annual convention.

:02:30. > :02:31.Many were initially unaccounted for causing concerns

:02:32. > :02:34.Two people were treated at Torbay Hospital for smoke

:02:35. > :02:36.inhalation and another suffered a cut arm.

:02:37. > :02:38.Guests were given accommodation at the Riviera Centre overnight.

:02:39. > :02:41.Police are treating it as arson with intent to endanger life

:02:42. > :02:44.We have potentially 114 people to find.

:02:45. > :02:46.That is why we have ten appliances here.

:02:47. > :02:48.And it was literally a physical act of walking down the corridors

:02:49. > :02:52.In sport, Plymouth Leander's Ben Proud beat his own British record

:02:53. > :02:55.to retain his 50 metre freestyle title at the British Championships

:02:56. > :02:57.in Sheffield - his club-mate Tom Fannon took silver.

:02:58. > :02:59.Proud stormed to victory in last night's final

:03:00. > :03:03.The win secured him a place at this summer's

:03:04. > :03:05.In the London Marathon, there was disappointment

:03:49. > :03:50.from 51 schools no less, are able to complete the last mile

:03:51. > :03:54.The other 12 have been run around school playing fields.

:03:55. > :03:59.It seems minutes later and the first child to cross the line

:04:00. > :04:05.is Joe Foster from year six at Trowbridge primary school.

:04:06. > :04:08.Amazingly, his sister Mia from year four is the first

:05:11. > :05:14.Some of the cloud has broken up over the last few hours.

:05:15. > :05:16.Tonight, generally more cloud will feed in further east.

:05:17. > :05:20.Still the potential for temperatures to get quite low.

:05:21. > :05:23.For most of us, just that little bit milder than last night.

:05:24. > :05:29.Tomorrow I think will be largely dry for most of the day.

:05:30. > :05:33.A lot of cloud starting to push in as we had through the day.

:05:34. > :05:36.Into the afternoon, the risk of one or two isolated showers.
