0:00:02 > 0:00:04It looks like our weather will be
0:00:04 > 0:00:05warming up again next week and turning
0:00:05 > 0:00:09briefly hotter for some of us before thunderstorms arrive
0:00:09 > 0:00:12and then next weekend it's looking unsettled once again.
0:00:12 > 0:00:14All on that coming up in the next three and a half minutes
0:00:14 > 0:00:17but I'll start with the next five minutes of weather in detail
0:00:17 > 0:00:19and this is how Sunday is shaping up.
0:00:19 > 0:00:23Brighter, fresher weather heading East as the day goes on after
0:00:23 > 0:00:24a cloudy and damp start.
0:00:24 > 0:00:26But there are still showers around.
0:00:26 > 0:00:29Not so much for Southwest England and Wales,
0:00:29 > 0:00:31the afternoon here is looking mainly dry.
0:00:31 > 0:00:34Broken clouds, sunny spells, feeling a bit fresher than it has done.
0:00:34 > 0:00:36Much of Northwest England will be dry too.
0:00:36 > 0:00:39Though if you venture into the Pennines you could encounter
0:00:39 > 0:00:40a heavy shower.
0:00:40 > 0:00:43For Northern Ireland you may catch a light shower here and there
0:00:43 > 0:00:44but most dry.
0:00:44 > 0:00:47Some of us in Western and Northern Scotland will start damp
0:00:47 > 0:00:49and drizzly but the afternoon is fine.
0:00:49 > 0:00:51As it will be across the bulk of Scotland.
0:00:51 > 0:00:55and Southeast you may still catch a shower into the afternoon.
0:00:55 > 0:00:59The bulk of those showers will be scattered across Central
0:00:59 > 0:01:02So although it will start to brighten up in the afternoon,
0:01:02 > 0:01:04you may catch a heavy and possibly thundery downpour.
0:01:04 > 0:01:09By no means everybody will.
0:01:09 > 0:01:12and by the end of the day it will feel less humid too.
0:01:12 > 0:01:14The showers fade away into the evening.
0:01:14 > 0:01:17Then during Sunday night plenty of clear weather around
0:01:17 > 0:01:20for star gazing or looking at the super moon.
0:01:20 > 0:01:21And it will be cooler too
0:01:21 > 0:01:25so temperatures for some will dip down into single figures.
0:01:25 > 0:01:28Feeling much fresher out and about on Monday morning.
0:01:28 > 0:01:31On Monday we start with a little ridge of high pressure.
0:01:31 > 0:01:34It's not going to last long as this area of low pressure
0:01:34 > 0:01:37comes in from the Atlantic and brings its weather fronts with cloud
0:01:37 > 0:01:38and some outbreaks of rain.
0:01:38 > 0:01:42It's in the West the weather will go downhill first.
0:01:42 > 0:01:46Eventually late in the day,
0:01:46 > 0:01:49start to see some of teat rain reaching the Eastern side.
0:01:49 > 0:01:51Some warmth particularly across Central
0:01:51 > 0:01:53and Eastern areas with temperatures well into the 20s.
0:01:53 > 0:01:55Most though around 18-21.
0:01:56 > 0:01:59This frontal system will complete its journey South-eastwards
0:01:59 > 0:02:03across the UK as we go through Monday night and into Tuesday.
0:02:03 > 0:02:06Early on Tuesday there will be some cloud
0:02:06 > 0:02:08and outbreaks of rain in the East.
0:02:08 > 0:02:10But that should push away and brighter skies will follow
0:02:10 > 0:02:13so for much of the UK on Tuesday it's sunny spells.
0:02:13 > 0:02:16The odd shower around and when the sun's out it will feel
0:02:16 > 0:02:17pleasantly warm.
0:02:17 > 0:02:20But some hotter weather coming in from midweek. Here's why.
0:02:20 > 0:02:22High pressure building in.
0:02:22 > 0:02:25Low pressure still bringing some rain at times to Northern Ireland
0:02:25 > 0:02:27and Western Scotland on Wednesday and Thursday for that matter.
0:02:27 > 0:02:32But elsewhere with the flow of air turning to one from Iberia, we're
0:02:32 > 0:02:35going to lift those temperatures into the mid to upper 20s.
0:02:35 > 0:02:39Particularly across Southern and Eastern parts of England.
0:02:39 > 0:02:41On Thursday that weather system is still producing some rain
0:02:41 > 0:02:44threatening Northern Ireland and Western Scotland.
0:02:44 > 0:02:47Elsewhere under the influence of high pressure temperatures will get
0:02:47 > 0:02:48even higher.
0:02:48 > 0:02:51It's possible somewhere on Thursday could see 30C.
0:02:51 > 0:02:53A late day thunderstorm is possible
0:02:53 > 0:02:57but more in the way of thundery rain comes in for Friday.
0:02:57 > 0:02:59And as we look further ahead for the trend
0:02:59 > 0:03:03from the 18th to the 22nd of July it looks like we'll look to the
0:03:03 > 0:03:06Atlantic again for our weather as it turns more unsettled.
0:03:06 > 0:03:09Low pressure affecting the Northwest of the UK
0:03:09 > 0:03:12but I think everywhere will see showers or spells of rain at times.
0:03:12 > 0:03:13But also some drier,
0:03:13 > 0:03:16brighter weather when it will still feel pleasantly warm.
0:03:16 > 0:03:18Next week ends with thunderstorms.
0:03:18 > 0:03:22Into next weekend the heat subsiding as it turns more unsettled
0:03:22 > 0:03:23once again.
0:03:23 > 0:03:27That's the latest look at the weather 10 days into the future.
0:03:27 > 0:03:30As ever, we'll keep you updated with the here and now online. Bye-bye.
