0:00:43 > 0:00:46Should be a dry day for Scotland,

0:00:46 > 0:00:48low cloud slow to clear through the Moray Firth,

0:00:48 > 0:00:51lingering up towards Shetland

0:00:51 > 0:00:53and coastal areas,

0:00:58 > 0:01:01away from some of those coastal areas,

0:01:01 > 0:01:03high temperatures in the sunshine.

0:01:03 > 0:01:07It's possible we could get a shower in Hampshire and Sussex,

0:01:07 > 0:01:10but much of Southern England will have a dry day.

0:01:10 > 0:01:13Any thundery showers in the Southwest

0:01:13 > 0:01:15will slip away during the evening

0:01:15 > 0:01:17so it should be a dry night,

0:01:17 > 0:01:20another warm and muggy one again,

0:01:20 > 0:01:22low cloud coming back inland

0:01:22 > 0:01:25further into Scotland and the Northeast of England.

0:01:25 > 0:01:28High pressure has been with us for quite some time.

0:01:28 > 0:01:31It's blocking weather fronts from off the Atlantic

0:01:31 > 0:01:34and it's still there on Friday.

0:01:34 > 0:01:38Around the base of the high pressure, we've got blustery winds

0:01:38 > 0:01:40across East Anglia and the Southeast of England,

0:01:40 > 0:01:43low cloud again burning back

0:01:43 > 0:01:45but lingering around some coastal areas,

0:01:45 > 0:01:48otherwise we'll see sunshine,

0:01:48 > 0:01:51maybe one or two showers developing in Scotland,

0:01:51 > 0:01:54and the risk of a thundery one in Southern England,

0:01:54 > 0:01:56thanks to the heat later in the day.

0:01:56 > 0:01:58Another very warm, if not hot day.

0:01:58 > 0:02:01Things change in time for the weekend.

0:02:01 > 0:02:04Low pressure nibbling at that high pressure

0:02:04 > 0:02:06is going to introduce this front.

0:02:06 > 0:02:09That will start to bring wetter weather into Northern Ireland

0:02:09 > 0:02:11and Western fringes of Scotland,

0:02:11 > 0:02:15and this showery rain pushes further across Scotland,

0:02:15 > 0:02:18Northern Ireland, maybe Northwest England

0:02:18 > 0:02:21and Wales. For most of England and Wales,

0:02:21 > 0:02:23a dry day. The heat still there,

0:02:23 > 0:02:26maybe triggering a thundery shower

0:02:26 > 0:02:27in the Southeast later.

0:02:27 > 0:02:30That weather front slips Southeastwards on Sunday,

0:02:30 > 0:02:32high pressure building in behind

0:02:32 > 0:02:35but leaving us with a Northerly breeze.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37That'll drop the temperatures

0:02:37 > 0:02:40and we'll see showers across the Eastern side of England,

0:02:40 > 0:02:43although one or two never too far away from Scotland, Northern Ireland,

0:02:43 > 0:02:46but it won't be as hot as it is at the moment.

0:02:46 > 0:02:49Monday - 25 degrees in the Southeast,

0:02:49 > 0:02:53but there are some weather fronts to bring patchy rain

0:02:53 > 0:02:55to the Northwest of Scotland,

0:02:55 > 0:02:57maybe the North of Northern Ireland.

0:02:57 > 0:03:00As we head into next week, there will be some subtle changes.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03High pressure is never far away.

0:03:03 > 0:03:04The position is crucial.

0:03:04 > 0:03:09For a while, it looks like that high pressure will slip further South,

0:03:09 > 0:03:11keeping Southern areas dry

0:03:11 > 0:03:16but we'll get more unsettled weather coming into Northern parts of the UK.

0:03:16 > 0:03:19So, what does it mean? Some sunshine, yes,

0:03:19 > 0:03:22but there won't be an awful lot of rain at all

0:03:22 > 0:03:24and whilst it's not going to be hot,

0:03:24 > 0:03:26still, for many of us,

0:03:26 > 0:03:30those temperatures close to or above average for the time of year.
