0:00:02 > 0:00:05Hello. Today, we saw temperatures nudging up to 30 degrees,

0:00:05 > 0:00:08but the heat is going to ebb away this weekend

0:00:08 > 0:00:10and not really build again next week.

0:00:10 > 0:00:13Another warm night ahead, though, and a muggy one, too.

0:00:13 > 0:00:14The earlier storms have gone,

0:00:14 > 0:00:17and we will see the mist and low cloud burning off as well.

0:00:17 > 0:00:21But some showery rain coming into Northern Ireland, Western Scotland.

0:00:21 > 0:00:24For most of England and Wales, it's going to be dry and very warm,

0:00:24 > 0:00:25with some more sunshine.

0:00:25 > 0:00:29Sunny spells across the Southwest of England, probably dry here.

0:00:29 > 0:00:32A lot of dry weather and some very warm weather for Wales, as well.

0:00:32 > 0:00:36We could pick up one or two late showers over the hills.

0:00:36 > 0:00:38Some wetter conditions, though, in Northern Ireland,

0:00:38 > 0:00:41this showery band of rain moving very slowly across the country,

0:00:41 > 0:00:44and it will be much cooler than it's been on Friday.

0:00:44 > 0:00:46Likewise across Western Scotland.

0:00:46 > 0:00:50It's cooling down, the wetter weather arriving through the afternoon.

0:00:50 > 0:00:52Some of that rain could be pretty heavy.

0:00:52 > 0:00:54Some late showers possible across Northern England.

0:00:54 > 0:00:58Through the Midlands it's probably going to be dry with sunny spells.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00Maybe a few more storms in the Southeast.

0:01:00 > 0:01:02These are most likely to the East of London.

0:01:02 > 0:01:04Around London itself,

0:01:04 > 0:01:07temperatures could get as high as 30 degrees or so once again.

0:01:07 > 0:01:10But that heat isn't going to last very much longer.

0:01:10 > 0:01:12We've got the wetter weather in the North,

0:01:12 > 0:01:15and this band of showers will push Eastwards across England and Wales,

0:01:15 > 0:01:19bringing down some cooler, fresher air from the Northwest.

0:01:19 > 0:01:21Some wetter conditions continuing in Western Scotland.

0:01:21 > 0:01:25But still very warm and muggy across large parts of England and Wales.

0:01:25 > 0:01:26The fresher, cooler air comes in

0:01:26 > 0:01:30behind that weather front, then, that brings in that band of showers,

0:01:30 > 0:01:31and around this area of low pressure

0:01:31 > 0:01:34we'll have some fairly brisk winds in Northern Ireland.

0:01:34 > 0:01:37We're drawing down more of a Northwesterly breeze on Sunday.

0:01:37 > 0:01:40That's bringing in the cooler and fresher air.

0:01:40 > 0:01:43Quite a bit of showery rain for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

0:01:43 > 0:01:46We'll see some sunshine and some showers for England and Wales.

0:01:46 > 0:01:49Some of those may well be heavy, possibly even thundery.

0:01:49 > 0:01:52Still looking at 20 degrees or so across England and Wales,

0:01:52 > 0:01:5525 or so in the Southeast of England.

0:01:55 > 0:01:58But for Scotland and Northern Ireland, 17 degrees,

0:01:58 > 0:02:01some ten degrees lower than we had on Friday.

0:02:01 > 0:02:03High pressure is around, but it's sitting to the West.

0:02:03 > 0:02:05That's why we're getting this Northerly airflow.

0:02:05 > 0:02:09This weather front here is producing some rain overnight and into Monday.

0:02:09 > 0:02:12It's tracking Southwards, so we'll see the wettest conditions

0:02:12 > 0:02:15moving South across England and Wales on Monday.

0:02:15 > 0:02:17Heavier downpours likely in the Southeast of England,

0:02:17 > 0:02:20where temperatures won't be as high for the start of the week.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23Further North, though, with brighter, drier conditions

0:02:23 > 0:02:25for Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland,

0:02:25 > 0:02:28temperatures may recover by a degree or two.

0:02:28 > 0:02:3121 degrees in Glasgow. It should be quite pleasant, actually.

0:02:31 > 0:02:34That wetter weather in the South and Southeast

0:02:34 > 0:02:36then pulls away during the course of Tuesday.

0:02:36 > 0:02:39A very weak weather front this time arriving in the Northwest of the UK,

0:02:39 > 0:02:43bringing just a little bit of rain mainly for the Northwest of Scotland.

0:02:43 > 0:02:46Otherwise, a generally dry day, actually, on Tuesday,

0:02:46 > 0:02:47with some sunshine

0:02:47 > 0:02:51and temperatures beginning to recover a bit across more Southern areas.

0:02:51 > 0:02:54It should feel quite pleasant, the mid 20s with some sunshine.

0:02:54 > 0:02:56Similar temperatures in the Southeast.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59That weak weather front will be pushing across England and Wales.

0:02:59 > 0:03:00There won't be much rain on it.

0:03:00 > 0:03:01Some patchy rain and drizzle there

0:03:01 > 0:03:04with some stronger winds for the Western side of Scotland.

0:03:04 > 0:03:07The weather pattern looks like it's going to be stuck, really,

0:03:07 > 0:03:09as we head through the week ahead.

0:03:09 > 0:03:12We're looking at more of a Northwesterly airflow

0:03:12 > 0:03:14with high pressure sitting to the Southwest

0:03:14 > 0:03:17and lower pressure towards the Northeast of the UK.

0:03:17 > 0:03:19So that will mean there'll be some showers,

0:03:19 > 0:03:21particularly across Scotland.

0:03:21 > 0:03:22There'll be some spells of sunshine,

0:03:22 > 0:03:25with the driest weather in the Southwest of the UK

0:03:25 > 0:03:27and temperatures close to or even just above average.

0:03:27 > 0:03:28Goodbye.
