0:00:02 > 0:00:03Well, it was hot across the board
0:00:03 > 0:00:06yesterday, today still hot for England and Wales,
0:00:06 > 0:00:07but a change has been taking place.
0:00:07 > 0:00:09A change to something a little bit cooler.
0:00:09 > 0:00:12That's been happening in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
0:00:12 > 0:00:14In the coming few days we'll notice a slight drop in those
0:00:14 > 0:00:16temperatures, back down to where they should be.
0:00:16 > 0:00:18A wet start for some Eastern parts of the UK,
0:00:18 > 0:00:20but that rain doesn't last too long.
0:00:20 > 0:00:23We've got sunshine and showers breaking out for the afternoon,
0:00:23 > 0:00:25although it will be wetter in the West of Scotland
0:00:25 > 0:00:26and into Northern Ireland.
0:00:26 > 0:00:29The further South you are it should be a pretty decent afternoon.
0:00:29 > 0:00:32Fresher than today, 21 or so degrees in Cardiff, and it looks like it will
0:00:32 > 0:00:35be dry for the South West of England and across most of South Wales.
0:00:35 > 0:00:37Showers into the North of Wales as we head
0:00:37 > 0:00:40up into Northern Ireland, where it will be quite a wet
0:00:40 > 0:00:43afternoon and only 17 or 18 degrees with a bit of a breeze.
0:00:43 > 0:00:46We'll see some wetter weather in he South and West of Scotland.
0:00:46 > 0:00:48Elsewhere there'll be some spells of sunshine
0:00:48 > 0:00:51but also one or two sharp showers, and again, 17 or 18 degrees.
0:00:51 > 0:00:5319, 20 across Northern England.
0:00:53 > 0:00:56Sunny spells and one or two showers into the South East.
0:00:56 > 0:00:59Most places should be dry for most of the time
0:00:59 > 0:01:01and still warm in the South Eastern corner but nowhere near as hot
0:01:01 > 0:01:05as it has been - 25, maybe 26 degrees in the London area.
0:01:05 > 0:01:07And then through the evening, that wetter
0:01:07 > 0:01:09weather in Northern Ireland drifts its way South
0:01:09 > 0:01:12and begins to fragment, so it turns more showery across Wales,
0:01:12 > 0:01:13the South West of England.
0:01:13 > 0:01:15Western parts of England,
0:01:15 > 0:01:17a few showers still left over in Northern Ireland.
0:01:17 > 0:01:19One or two showers cropping up elsewhere and the overnight
0:01:19 > 0:01:22lows a bit lower, so 15 or 16 degrees,
0:01:22 > 0:01:24just a little bit more comfortable.
0:01:24 > 0:01:27Into Monday and it's something of a North-South split.
0:01:27 > 0:01:30In the North of the UK you've got a much better chance of staying
0:01:30 > 0:01:31fine and dry.
0:01:31 > 0:01:33Across Wales, through the Midlands
0:01:33 > 0:01:35and East Anglia in the South East, some
0:01:35 > 0:01:38showers developing, but it's sunny spells and a scattering of showers.
0:01:38 > 0:01:40In the South East some of those showers could turn
0:01:40 > 0:01:41out to be quite heavy,
0:01:41 > 0:01:44maybe a few rumbles of thunder as you get on into the afternoon,
0:01:44 > 0:01:46but it is a largely dry story for the North,
0:01:46 > 0:01:48maybe one or two showers, but most places
0:01:48 > 0:01:51I suspect having a pretty decent day, and it'll be pleasantly warm.
0:01:51 > 0:01:53Into the low 20s quite widely with light winds, get
0:01:53 > 0:01:58a bit of sunshine and as I say, it's pleasantly warm, certainly not hot.
0:01:58 > 0:02:00And then, as we head on into Tuesday we start to look towards
0:02:00 > 0:02:03the North and West for this weather system to move its way in,
0:02:03 > 0:02:05but it's pushing into this high pressure system,
0:02:05 > 0:02:07so the rain is not going to be particularly heavy,
0:02:07 > 0:02:09but there'll be a fair bit of cloud around.
0:02:09 > 0:02:10There will be some rain and dribs
0:02:10 > 0:02:12and drabs on the West of England and Wales,
0:02:12 > 0:02:15but through Midlands and down towards East Anglia, the South East,
0:02:15 > 0:02:17it should stay dry with some hazy sunshine
0:02:17 > 0:02:21and quite warm again in the South Eastern corner - 26 or 27 degrees.
0:02:21 > 0:02:24But elsewhere it's the high teens or the low 20s.
0:02:24 > 0:02:2721, 22 there for Plymouth and for Cardiff.
0:02:27 > 0:02:30Maybe only 17 or so in Glasgow.
0:02:30 > 0:02:34Tuesday into Wednesday, well, the low drifts across the North of the UK,
0:02:34 > 0:02:37still quite breezy coming in from the North West,
0:02:37 > 0:02:39so the North of the UK on Wednesday is likely to see
0:02:39 > 0:02:42the thickest cloud, the strongest winds and some outbreaks of rain.
0:02:42 > 0:02:44But again, much of Wales, the Midlands
0:02:44 > 0:02:46and the South East should be fine and dry.
0:02:46 > 0:02:49Breezy and a fresher feel in the London area through the middle
0:02:49 > 0:02:54of the week at 24 degrees. Elsewhere it's the high teens or the low 20s.
0:02:54 > 0:02:55A higher chance of seeing some
0:02:55 > 0:02:58rain across the South of Wales, Southern counties of England
0:02:58 > 0:03:02through the day on Thursday, but again, it's 25 degrees in London
0:03:02 > 0:03:04and 20 or 21 elsewhere.
0:03:04 > 0:03:07As you look a bit further ahead into the six to ten day period,
0:03:07 > 0:03:09we've got to start talking about trends, and it looks as
0:03:09 > 0:03:12if that low will stay towards the North and the East of the UK.
0:03:12 > 0:03:14High pressure towards the South and West
0:03:14 > 0:03:17and in between the two, we get this north westerly airstream.
0:03:17 > 0:03:20So that will bring some showers with it, but it's not going to
0:03:20 > 0:03:23be raining all day everywhere, there will be spells of sunshine.
0:03:23 > 0:03:25And in that north westerly breeze, I think
0:03:25 > 0:03:27temperatures will be around about the average.
0:03:27 > 0:03:30If you need any more details, there's plenty more for you online.
