0:00:04 > 0:00:07Hello. It looks like, next week, we are going to see the remnants

0:00:07 > 0:00:10of another tropical weather system coming across the Atlantic

0:00:10 > 0:00:13and influencing our weather, but not in the same way Bertha did

0:00:13 > 0:00:16a few weeks ago. Actually, for some of us, it may lead to an improvement

0:00:16 > 0:00:18in the weather. All will be explained in a few minutes.

0:00:18 > 0:00:22First, to the here and now, the big picture for Tuesday,

0:00:22 > 0:00:25the Bank Holiday rain still affecting parts of England and Wales,

0:00:25 > 0:00:29as Tuesday begins. The potential for still some heavy downpours,

0:00:29 > 0:00:32especially into south-east England.

0:00:32 > 0:00:34We could still be dealing with some difficult driving conditions

0:00:34 > 0:00:37during the morning, before things slowly improve,

0:00:37 > 0:00:41but still some showers around in southern England into the afternoon.

0:00:41 > 0:00:44Elsewhere, though, it is a decent day. Many of us starting the day with

0:00:44 > 0:00:47sunny spells and continuing with them and, even where you are cloudy,

0:00:47 > 0:00:51it will brighten up at times. Temperatures - mid to high teens.

0:00:51 > 0:00:54As we go through Tuesday evening, the last of the showers

0:00:54 > 0:00:57begin to push away from the south coast, so through the night and into

0:00:57 > 0:01:00Wednesday morning, we will keep a lot of cloud in south-west England,

0:01:00 > 0:01:02maybe some spots of rain from that.

0:01:02 > 0:01:06Elsewhere, a mix of cloud and clear spells. A bit of patchy mist and fog

0:01:06 > 0:01:08developing here and there and for some, again, temperatures

0:01:08 > 0:01:11dipping down into single figures under clear skies.

0:01:11 > 0:01:14A quiet start to Wednesday, with high pressure close by,

0:01:14 > 0:01:17but then we look at another developing area of low pressure

0:01:17 > 0:01:21coming in towards the UK. So, don't be fooled by the quiet weather,

0:01:21 > 0:01:25if you have it on Wednesday - it is not going to last much longer.

0:01:25 > 0:01:28It looks like a decent day towards the north and east of the UK

0:01:28 > 0:01:32on Wednesday, but down towards the South West, close to that area

0:01:32 > 0:01:36of low pressure, increasing cloud, wind and outbreaks of rain moving in,

0:01:36 > 0:01:39more persistent later in the day. There could be a bit of sunshine

0:01:39 > 0:01:42and, for many, it will feel quite pleasant. Going into Thursday,

0:01:42 > 0:01:45that area of low pressure becomes the dominant feature.

0:01:45 > 0:01:49Initially setting itself up to the west of us, it will cross the UK

0:01:49 > 0:01:54during Friday into Saturday. It looks like, from this area of low pressure,

0:01:54 > 0:01:57it is into Scotland we will see a lot of rain. Northern Ireland, too,

0:01:57 > 0:02:01North Wales, as well. The west will see the strongest winds.

0:02:01 > 0:02:03Elsewhere, just a band of rain pushing on through. Brighter skies

0:02:03 > 0:02:06following behind, with showers blustery in that wind.

0:02:06 > 0:02:10As that area of low pressure on Friday moves into the UK,

0:02:10 > 0:02:15it will turn more windy, generally, across the UK, so a very blustery day

0:02:15 > 0:02:18and, with low pressure sitting right across us, that means

0:02:18 > 0:02:22plenty of showers, merging at times, to give some longer spells of rain

0:02:22 > 0:02:25and some of those showers will be heavy, even thundery, too.

0:02:25 > 0:02:30But it is showers. Occasionally, we will see some glimpses of sunshine.

0:02:30 > 0:02:33And that takes us on to the start of the weekend.

0:02:33 > 0:02:36The area of low pressure beginning to get the message and head east,

0:02:36 > 0:02:39but it is still close enough on Saturday to produce further showers.

0:02:39 > 0:02:42Some sunny spells and blustery conditions, once again,

0:02:42 > 0:02:45especially the closer you are to that area of low pressure.

0:02:45 > 0:02:49Going into Sunday, it looks like the weather is going to try to begin

0:02:49 > 0:02:51to settle down. That is the influence from that former

0:02:51 > 0:02:54tropical weather system coming across the Atlantic.

0:02:54 > 0:02:57It is Cristobal. Unlike Bertha, it does not look like it will come

0:02:57 > 0:03:00right across. It will move to the north-west of us and, as it does so,

0:03:00 > 0:03:04it draws up a ridge of high pressure, settling our weather down next week

0:03:04 > 0:03:08and turning things a little bit warmer, especially in the south.

0:03:08 > 0:03:12So, the big picture into next week, as it looks at the moment -

0:03:12 > 0:03:14of course, it is open to change -

0:03:14 > 0:03:17it looks like the remnants of Cristobal towards the north west.

0:03:17 > 0:03:20It could still bring some stormy weather towards the far north west.

0:03:20 > 0:03:24We will keep you updated about that. Elsewhere, this high pressure

0:03:24 > 0:03:26beginning to nudge in and, again, settling the weather down.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29So, we have that to look forward to next week, if it comes to plan.

0:03:29 > 0:03:32As ever, here, we will keep you updated. Bye-bye.
