0:00:03 > 0:00:06Hello, welcome to the forecast that looks further ahead than the others
0:00:06 > 0:00:08and our reward for looking into next week's weather,
0:00:08 > 0:00:11is that we find high pressure settling things down.
0:00:11 > 0:00:14But between now and then, there's another area of low pressure
0:00:14 > 0:00:16moving close to the UK,
0:00:16 > 0:00:18pushing rain-bearing weather fronts northwards
0:00:18 > 0:00:20and still some of that early on Thursday,
0:00:20 > 0:00:24spreading north across Scotland, but clearing away from eastern England.
0:00:24 > 0:00:26Rainfall amounts - not too much, it's fairly quick-moving,
0:00:26 > 0:00:29and then behind that, a zone of brighter weather,
0:00:29 > 0:00:31then another area of cloud with outbreaks of rain
0:00:31 > 0:00:34slowly moving from west to east during the day.
0:00:34 > 0:00:36The other side of that we find brighter conditions
0:00:36 > 0:00:38again into Northern Ireland, for example, in the afternoon,
0:00:38 > 0:00:41but here the wind will strengthen and this rain will come in
0:00:41 > 0:00:43quite heavy as we go through the evening.
0:00:43 > 0:00:45Temperatures - high teens, low 20s,
0:00:45 > 0:00:48some warmth in the sun, especially across eastern parts of England.
0:00:48 > 0:00:49As we go through the evening,
0:00:49 > 0:00:52that first area of rain clears away eastwards,
0:00:52 > 0:00:54but then some heavier downpours
0:00:54 > 0:00:57come across Northern Ireland into western Scotland with brisk winds
0:00:57 > 0:01:00and other western areas start to get some of those heavier showers
0:01:00 > 0:01:02by the time we get to Friday morning.
0:01:02 > 0:01:06So, on Friday then, the closer you are to that area of low pressure,
0:01:06 > 0:01:08the more showers you are going to get, the stronger the winds too.
0:01:08 > 0:01:11You can see it's just centred to the northwest of Scotland.
0:01:11 > 0:01:14Which means some of us will get shower after shower,
0:01:14 > 0:01:17they may merge to give some longer spells of rain at times
0:01:17 > 0:01:20through western parts of the UK on Friday.
0:01:20 > 0:01:22Wherever you are it's going to be blustery.
0:01:22 > 0:01:24Fewer showers though in comparison
0:01:24 > 0:01:26down towards the southeast and east of England in particular,
0:01:26 > 0:01:29although one or two will move through on the breeze.
0:01:29 > 0:01:31Some of us will avoid them and stay dry.
0:01:31 > 0:01:34Temperatures here into the low 20s, elsewhere though,
0:01:34 > 0:01:36if you get plenty of showers, it will feel rather cool,
0:01:36 > 0:01:38especially in that wind.
0:01:38 > 0:01:40Now, as we go into the weekend,
0:01:40 > 0:01:44that area of low pressure just scoots across the north of Scotland.
0:01:44 > 0:01:46It will begin to ease away through the weekend,
0:01:46 > 0:01:49though still close enough on Saturday to produce
0:01:49 > 0:01:52breezy weather for us, a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers.
0:01:52 > 0:01:55And it may well be that you end up with a shower on Saturday,
0:01:55 > 0:01:57perhaps if you avoided one on Friday.
0:01:57 > 0:02:00Again, high teens and low 20s.
0:02:00 > 0:02:04As that area of low pressure finally moves away on Sunday,
0:02:04 > 0:02:07this area of high pressure begins to nudge in
0:02:07 > 0:02:08and we get some drier weather.
0:02:08 > 0:02:11Still some weather fronts close to northern Scotland,
0:02:11 > 0:02:14so here on Sunday you can still expect some outbreaks of rain,
0:02:14 > 0:02:17but elsewhere fewer showers, more in the way of drier weather,
0:02:17 > 0:02:20some sunshine, it's going to feel a little bit warmer too.
0:02:20 > 0:02:22Now, that area of high pressure
0:02:22 > 0:02:26is going to have a bit of an assault at it from this low pressure,
0:02:26 > 0:02:29coming across the Atlantic as we go from Sunday into Monday.
0:02:29 > 0:02:31It's actually a former hurricane,
0:02:31 > 0:02:33but it's missing us well to the north,
0:02:33 > 0:02:36but a trailing weather front will try to move into that high pressure,
0:02:36 > 0:02:38Sunday night and into Monday,
0:02:38 > 0:02:40and certainly towards the northwest of the UK,
0:02:40 > 0:02:43that will bring some stronger winds for a time
0:02:43 > 0:02:44and some outbreaks of rain.
0:02:44 > 0:02:46But it looks as if it will come to a halt
0:02:46 > 0:02:48as it tries to penetrate that high pressure,
0:02:48 > 0:02:51which looks like it will protect England and Wales on Monday
0:02:51 > 0:02:52with largely fine weather,
0:02:52 > 0:02:55and then as the high pressure starts to build back
0:02:55 > 0:02:56as we go into Tuesday,
0:02:56 > 0:02:58that area of rain will lift away northwards
0:02:58 > 0:03:00and then we're just about in the clear,
0:03:00 > 0:03:02Tuesday onwards next week, with an area of high pressure,
0:03:02 > 0:03:05plenty of dry weather, warmer weather too,
0:03:05 > 0:03:07with temperatures more widely into the low 20s.
0:03:07 > 0:03:09We have that to look forward to.
0:03:09 > 0:03:12There's only so much high pressure will give us, though.
0:03:12 > 0:03:14Of course, we're getting into September at this stage.
0:03:14 > 0:03:16But if you're expecting from this weather pattern
0:03:16 > 0:03:18for a time next week some settled weather,
0:03:18 > 0:03:21some mainly dry weather and something a little bit warmer,
0:03:21 > 0:03:24then that's pretty close, I think, to what will happen.
0:03:24 > 0:03:27We'll, of course, keep you updated as we get closer to it.
0:03:27 > 0:03:30And you can find your daily forecast, as ever, online. Bye-bye.
0:03:32 > 0:03:32Espionage...
0:03:32 > 0:03:34Who would possibly assassinate him?
0:03:34 > 0:03:35This is a minefield.
0:03:35 > 0:03:36..deception...
0:03:36 > 0:03:39There's so much more to this story than I thought. Wow.
0:03:39 > 0:03:40..and even murder.
0:03:40 > 0:03:42With a knife! Real shock.
0:03:42 > 0:03:44Unravelling the mysteries
0:03:44 > 0:03:45of their family tree.
