0:00:01 > 0:00:04Hello, welcome to our broadcast where I'll take you through

0:00:04 > 0:00:07the weather for the next five days in detail before taking

0:00:07 > 0:00:11a look at what we could potentially see further ahead.

0:00:11 > 0:00:13Sticking with the short-term where through the first

0:00:13 > 0:00:16part of the weekend there has been cloud streaming down

0:00:16 > 0:00:19across the South and East and the low-pressure system sitting

0:00:19 > 0:00:24in the North Sea which kept showers going across northern Scotland.

0:00:24 > 0:00:27By Sunday morning, there may still be one or two showers to the

0:00:27 > 0:00:30north-east of Scotland but they'll gradually clear away

0:00:30 > 0:00:33and for many Sunday should be fine and dry with bright spells.

0:00:33 > 0:00:35It will be coming cloudier to the north-west,

0:00:35 > 0:00:39some rain for Northern Ireland and the Western Isles of Scotland

0:00:39 > 0:00:42through the afternoon with the breeze picking up as well.

0:00:42 > 0:00:45Ahead of it for much of mainland Scotland it remains fine with

0:00:45 > 0:00:47sunny spells, 17 to 18 degrees.

0:00:47 > 0:00:49Quite a different afternoon for Northern Ireland with the rain

0:00:49 > 0:00:53arriving. It stays dry and bright for England and Wales.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56Perhaps more cloud arriving through Cardigan Bay and across Devon

0:00:56 > 0:00:58and Cornwall for the afternoon.

0:00:58 > 0:01:02Our top temperature potentially in the south-east corner

0:01:02 > 0:01:04at 21 degrees in London.

0:01:04 > 0:01:07As we go to Sunday evening those weather fronts begin to begin

0:01:07 > 0:01:09to move further south introducing more cloud

0:01:09 > 0:01:14It is tied in with warm humid air so a lot of mist

0:01:14 > 0:01:18and low cloud as we start Monday morning with poor visibility,

0:01:18 > 0:01:20outbreaks of rain across many areas.

0:01:20 > 0:01:23Temperatures beginning Monday morning at 14, 15 degrees.

0:01:23 > 0:01:25It is a warm start to the day

0:01:25 > 0:01:29and we are looking at these weather fronts steadily clearing away.

0:01:29 > 0:01:32Behind those fronts high-pressure starting to build in

0:01:32 > 0:01:35so the best of any dry bright weather on Monday through

0:01:35 > 0:01:38parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.

0:01:38 > 0:01:41After that gloomy start for England and Wales,

0:01:41 > 0:01:44things improve for Northern England and Wales through the afternoon.

0:01:44 > 0:01:49The rain still holding on to the East of England. Despite that,

0:01:49 > 0:01:5221 in London with brighter skies for Glasgow

0:01:52 > 0:01:55and Belfast a top temperature of 17.

0:01:55 > 0:01:58At the moment potentially those weather fronts lingering to

0:01:58 > 0:02:01the south on Tuesday but they should begin to weaken

0:02:01 > 0:02:05but always keeping more cloud on Tuesday across southern

0:02:05 > 0:02:08counties. With high-pressure becoming established further north,

0:02:08 > 0:02:12here we will see good deals of sunshine around.

0:02:12 > 0:02:13Potentially mist and fog first thing,

0:02:13 > 0:02:16another thing to watch out for as the week goes on

0:02:16 > 0:02:21but given some brightness, that will start to lift temperatures.

0:02:21 > 0:02:24The high stays with us through the middle part of the week.

0:02:24 > 0:02:27The winds will strengthen to the North with some approaching

0:02:27 > 0:02:29fronts across parts of Scotland.

0:02:29 > 0:02:33Cloudier here on Wednesday with some outbreaks of rain

0:02:33 > 0:02:37but further south after a misty and foggy start that should lift

0:02:37 > 0:02:43and clear, given some sunshine, 21 to 23 degrees.

0:02:43 > 0:02:46You can see that pressure is relatively high throughout

0:02:46 > 0:02:47much of next week.

0:02:47 > 0:02:51There will always be complications of just how much cloud there's

0:02:51 > 0:02:55going to be - will the mist and fog clear first thing in the morning?

0:02:55 > 0:02:59When it does, it lifts temperatures into the low 20s but there's always

0:02:59 > 0:03:04the risk that some areas will stay cloudier with some outbreaks of rain.

0:03:04 > 0:03:06As we look through Friday and into the weekend,

0:03:06 > 0:03:08there's a low pressure system that could be close

0:03:08 > 0:03:13to southern counties of England turning things more unsettled here

0:03:13 > 0:03:15but the high pressure is never too far away.

0:03:15 > 0:03:18When we do get some sunshine, still staying pretty warm,

0:03:18 > 0:03:21certainly to start with with some sunshine.

0:03:21 > 0:03:24It could turn more unsettled for a time through the weekend

0:03:24 > 0:03:28but it then looks like the high pressure will make a return.

0:03:28 > 0:03:30That's all from me for now, bye-bye.

0:03:31 > 0:03:32In 7 Up, we watched their characters emerge.

0:03:32 > 0:03:35Boys think they're better than girls, and they're not.

0:03:35 > 0:03:37In 14 Up, they shared their dreams.

0:03:37 > 0:03:40I love the idea of being married. It'd be well good.

0:03:40 > 0:03:43How have those dreams changed now they're 21?

0:03:43 > 0:03:45Go to the Paralympics. I'd love that.
