0:00:05 > 0:00:07Hello, it's that time of the day where we look at the next

0:00:07 > 0:00:08five days worth of weather,

0:00:08 > 0:00:11and then peek beyond to see what the 6-10 day period has to offer.

0:00:11 > 0:00:14In the short term, it's going to be a chilly start to the day on Monday,

0:00:14 > 0:00:16particularly in the North and West,

0:00:16 > 0:00:19the more rural spots with a touch of frost, but they'll be some

0:00:19 > 0:00:22sunshine out there and temperatures will recover quickly.

0:00:22 > 0:00:25Into the South of the UK, and there'll be a bit of patchy cloud

0:00:25 > 0:00:28but that shouldn't detract from what will be a pleasant sort of day.

0:00:28 > 0:00:30Light winds and spells of sunshine,

0:00:30 > 0:00:32and temperatures into the low 20s,

0:00:32 > 0:00:35across the board in the Southern counties of England.

0:00:35 > 0:00:38A decent day across Wales, through the Midlands,

0:00:38 > 0:00:40and across towards East Anglia, with plenty of sunshine -

0:00:40 > 0:00:43light winds as well, it will feel pleasant out there.

0:00:43 > 0:00:44In Northern England, more cloud in

0:00:44 > 0:00:47the afternoon compared with the morning, 17-18 typically,

0:00:47 > 0:00:50but along the North Sea coast a couple of degrees lower than that.

0:00:50 > 0:00:52Through the Central Lowlands,

0:00:52 > 0:00:54more cloud in the afternoon compared with the morning,

0:00:54 > 0:00:56and Northern Scotland still breezy,

0:00:56 > 0:00:58still cloudy, but just a spot of rain.

0:00:58 > 0:01:01That'll be about it. A pretty decent afternoon in Northern Ireland.

0:01:01 > 0:01:04Through the evening, it's going to turn chilly again,

0:01:04 > 0:01:07and by dawn on Tuesday major towns and cities will hang on to

0:01:07 > 0:01:10double figures, but, again, it's these rural spots in the North

0:01:10 > 0:01:12and the West where temperatures will

0:01:12 > 0:01:14be in single figures, down to 2-3 degrees,

0:01:14 > 0:01:19so just a touch of frost and maybe a few patches of mist and fog.

0:01:19 > 0:01:23Tuesday will be a decent day after that chilly start for some.

0:01:23 > 0:01:26It will be dry pretty much everywhere,

0:01:26 > 0:01:28and winds will be light everywhere as well.

0:01:28 > 0:01:30A good day for getting out and about.

0:01:30 > 0:01:34The sunshine will last longest across Wales and the Southwest,

0:01:34 > 0:01:35with cloud developing elsewhere,

0:01:35 > 0:01:38but even with that cloud, a few breaks coming and going,

0:01:38 > 0:01:41but essentially it's a dry, cloudy, day with temperatures again

0:01:41 > 0:01:44getting into the low 20s the further South you are.

0:01:44 > 0:01:47Maybe it's the middle to upper teens as you head North.

0:01:48 > 0:01:50Now, the middle part of the week,

0:01:50 > 0:01:52we've still got high pressure dominating across most

0:01:52 > 0:01:55of the UK, but it's drifting North allowing a breeze to

0:01:55 > 0:01:58pick up a little in the South and West.

0:01:58 > 0:02:01Apart from that, it's a pretty similar day,

0:02:01 > 0:02:04a lot of cloud particularly for Central and Eastern areas,

0:02:04 > 0:02:06light winds, and a bit more of a breeze in the South

0:02:06 > 0:02:08and West might help to break the cloud up,

0:02:08 > 0:02:11so again some spells of sunshine, 19 or 20 degrees in the South,

0:02:11 > 0:02:1417s-18s the further North you go.

0:02:14 > 0:02:16Towards the middle and latter part of the week,

0:02:16 > 0:02:19the high continues to drift away towards the North,

0:02:19 > 0:02:22so the breeze does pick up across the South and the West of the UK,

0:02:22 > 0:02:25but the high is keeping those fronts well at bay,

0:02:25 > 0:02:28so it's another dry day with a fair bit of cloud.

0:02:28 > 0:02:32Central and Eastern areas seeing the thickest of the cloud, but even

0:02:32 > 0:02:33here it will stay dry,

0:02:33 > 0:02:36best of the brighter weather across Western parts of the UK.

0:02:36 > 0:02:39As we look to the end of the week, high pressure is still with us,

0:02:39 > 0:02:41drifting away towards the North, the breeze becoming

0:02:41 > 0:02:43more noticeable across

0:02:43 > 0:02:46Southern parts of England, through Wales, and into Northern Ireland.

0:02:46 > 0:02:48These fronts are trying to push in from the South

0:02:48 > 0:02:51and the West but I suspect they won't make much progress.

0:02:51 > 0:02:52Maybe some extra cloud

0:02:52 > 0:02:55and a spot of rain possible towards the Isles of Scilly,

0:02:55 > 0:02:57but I suspect most of us will be fine and dry towards

0:02:57 > 0:03:01the end of the week, but there's still quite a bit of cloud around.

0:03:01 > 0:03:04In spite of that, it is a dry story, and we should get into the low 20s.

0:03:04 > 0:03:05Now, into the 6-10 day period,

0:03:05 > 0:03:08and it looks like that high will still be drifting towards

0:03:08 > 0:03:12the North, the low trying to come into towards the South and the West.

0:03:12 > 0:03:14This feed of air in-between the two systems could bring a few

0:03:14 > 0:03:16showers into the Southeast,

0:03:16 > 0:03:19and some of those could turn to be quite heavy towards days 8,9 and 10,

0:03:19 > 0:03:23but we could see that area of low pressure making its way

0:03:23 > 0:03:26into the South and West, which also brings the possibility of rain.

0:03:26 > 0:03:28So, there's a couple of possible

0:03:28 > 0:03:29different outcomes,

0:03:29 > 0:03:31we'll have to see nearer the time.

0:03:34 > 0:03:36Tom, I've kept a secret from you.

0:03:36 > 0:03:42I never meant to lie to you. I just did what I thought I had to.

0:03:42 > 0:03:46The quieter you keep a secret, the louder it explodes.

0:03:48 > 0:03:49Why?!

0:03:49 > 0:03:50Tell me now!

0:03:50 > 0:03:52Tell me the truth!

0:03:53 > 0:03:55I don't know what's happening.

0:03:55 > 0:03:57I don't know what I'm doing.
