0:00:05 > 0:00:08Hello. After lots of settled weather so far this month,

0:00:08 > 0:00:12any weather changes in the next ten days will be very gradual indeed.

0:00:12 > 0:00:15For the next five days, high pressure is still close by.

0:00:15 > 0:00:19There may be a little rain for some of us but not much.

0:00:19 > 0:00:21Some sunshine, especially in the South and West,

0:00:21 > 0:00:24which will lift temperatures for some into the mid-20s.

0:00:24 > 0:00:27That will be the warmest weather we have had since early August.

0:00:27 > 0:00:29Something to look forward to in the weather this week.

0:00:29 > 0:00:32The big weather players are still in place.

0:00:32 > 0:00:34That is high pressure to the Northeast of us,

0:00:34 > 0:00:36low pressure to the Southwest.

0:00:36 > 0:00:38We are caught in between on an easterly flow

0:00:38 > 0:00:41and this little weather disturbance is coming along that flow

0:00:41 > 0:00:43through the night and into Monday morning,

0:00:43 > 0:00:46bringing thicker cloud, hill fog and some patchy rain

0:00:46 > 0:00:50and drizzle to Northeast England and Eastern Scotland.

0:00:50 > 0:00:52A few showers to start the day elsewhere before it brightens

0:00:52 > 0:00:54up in the afternoon.

0:00:54 > 0:00:57In the afternoon it is looking mainly dry in Southern England

0:00:57 > 0:01:00and Wales, pleasantly warm given some occasional sunshine.

0:01:00 > 0:01:03But still a chance of a shower through Norfolk,

0:01:03 > 0:01:05the East Midlands and Northern England.

0:01:05 > 0:01:09Catch a shower, many of us won't, but if you do it could be heavy

0:01:09 > 0:01:10and slow moving.

0:01:10 > 0:01:12Rather cloudy in Northern Ireland, may catch a light shower.

0:01:12 > 0:01:14Most of us won't.

0:01:14 > 0:01:16The far Northeast of England, Eastern Scotland, through

0:01:16 > 0:01:19the Central Belt staying cloudy, further patchy rain and drizzle.

0:01:19 > 0:01:21A bit of sunshine in the far Northwest of Scotland,

0:01:21 > 0:01:23the far Southwest as well.

0:01:23 > 0:01:26Where you have got cloud the temperature held down.

0:01:26 > 0:01:28Tuesday getting off to a cloudy start,

0:01:28 > 0:01:30still that weather system in the far Northeast of Scotland

0:01:30 > 0:01:32and the Northern Isles so we will get some

0:01:32 > 0:01:34outbreaks of rain,

0:01:34 > 0:01:37whereas elsewhere we may catch a shower. Most of us will not.

0:01:37 > 0:01:40It will be a pleasant afternoon on Tuesday

0:01:40 > 0:01:43and warm spots again getting into the low 20s.

0:01:43 > 0:01:45Going from Tuesday into Wednesday,

0:01:45 > 0:01:48the weather pattern is still the same but we will change

0:01:48 > 0:01:52the flow of air a little bit to more of a Continental one into the UK.

0:01:52 > 0:01:56Some warm air in place there and that means our temperatures, given some

0:01:56 > 0:02:01sunshine for those who have it, will be a bit higher than they have been.

0:02:01 > 0:02:04You can see the warmer colours flooding in as we go through

0:02:04 > 0:02:06Wednesday and into Thursday.

0:02:06 > 0:02:10The sunshine predominantly will be in Southern and Western areas,

0:02:10 > 0:02:13getting into the low 20s, approaching 24, 25.

0:02:13 > 0:02:16Throughout the rest of the week we will keep a lot of cloud towards

0:02:16 > 0:02:19the Northeast. Where you have got that you may catch a shower

0:02:19 > 0:02:22but despite the cloud there will be a lot of dry weather.

0:02:22 > 0:02:24It has an impact on the temperature.

0:02:24 > 0:02:27Northern and Eastern Scotland into parts of Northeast England,

0:02:27 > 0:02:30it holds the temperature down, so you are around about the mid-teens,

0:02:30 > 0:02:33maybe around 15 to 17 degrees.

0:02:33 > 0:02:36But where you break out into the sunshine, to the South

0:02:36 > 0:02:39and West, you're getting close to around 25, 26,

0:02:39 > 0:02:41that would make it the warmest weather since early August.

0:02:41 > 0:02:44The low pressure to the Southwest of us

0:02:44 > 0:02:47starting to throw a bit of energy towards Southern areas second

0:02:47 > 0:02:50half of the week so there is a chance of catching a heavy shower here

0:02:50 > 0:02:54but basically on Friday it looks like little change.

0:02:54 > 0:02:57May still see a shower in the far North of Scotland.

0:02:57 > 0:03:01By the end of the week, the overall weather pattern is very similar.

0:03:01 > 0:03:03Low pressure to the Southwest of us,

0:03:03 > 0:03:05high pressure to the Northeast of us

0:03:05 > 0:03:07and even this, way out in the Atlantic,

0:03:07 > 0:03:10a former hurricane isn't going to break through the weather block.

0:03:10 > 0:03:15It also is in the weather queue so again, any changes very slow

0:03:15 > 0:03:16and subtle.

0:03:16 > 0:03:19As we look further ahead, through the weekend into the start

0:03:19 > 0:03:22of the following week, a lot of dry, fairly warm weather around

0:03:22 > 0:03:26and temperatures starting to come down a little bit and we may just see

0:03:26 > 0:03:30things turning a bit more unsettled across Northwestern parts of the UK.

0:03:30 > 0:03:32One to watch. More online. Good night.
