0:00:04 > 0:00:06The mild theme continues.

0:00:06 > 0:00:08Friday afternoon saw temperatures up

0:00:08 > 0:00:10to 18.5 degrees in the north-west of England.

0:00:10 > 0:00:13It's mild overnight, but with rain across the west and north of the UK.

0:00:13 > 0:00:15That rain is still there in the morning across Scotland,

0:00:15 > 0:00:18but give it a while and it will fizzle out.

0:00:18 > 0:00:22Low clouds, mist and fog across the south-east will break-up,

0:00:22 > 0:00:23but it will linger.

0:00:23 > 0:00:27In the afternoon most of the rain is cleared away from Scotland.

0:00:27 > 0:00:30It will brighten the skies up nicely. Temperatures do well

0:00:30 > 0:00:33- 14, 15 degrees. Should feel pleasant.

0:00:33 > 0:00:35Still a bit of rain towards Cumbria,

0:00:35 > 0:00:37but the rest of north England does well.

0:00:37 > 0:00:39Some parts of eastern England in particular,

0:00:39 > 0:00:42maybe some parts of the Midlands are going to hang onto to that low

0:00:42 > 0:00:45cloud and temperatures will struggle, 11-12 degrees.

0:00:45 > 0:00:48A bit of brighter weather, though, sunshine coming through.

0:00:48 > 0:00:51Temperatures will be higher. Middle to upper teens quite wildly,

0:00:51 > 0:00:53you could even see 20 Celsius in one or two spots.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56It looks like a decent afternoon across most of the south-west

0:00:56 > 0:00:58of England.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00Most of Wales it's going to feel very pleasant.

0:01:00 > 0:01:03Not windy, and temperatures in the upper teens quite widely.

0:01:03 > 0:01:06Maybe a bit more cloud around the western coast of Wales.

0:01:06 > 0:01:08Up towards Northern Ireland some good spells of sunshine into

0:01:08 > 0:01:14the afternoon and pretty mild as well, 15-16 degrees possible.

0:01:14 > 0:01:18In the evening, mist and fog reforms once again, mainly across southern

0:01:18 > 0:01:23Scotland and England and Wakes where the winds are a bit lighter.

0:01:23 > 0:01:25Temperatures just about dipping into single figures.

0:01:25 > 0:01:28I think they will do quite widely in more rural spots.

0:01:28 > 0:01:29Particularly in Scotland.

0:01:31 > 0:01:32Sunday itself, we are

0:01:32 > 0:01:36dominated by this area of pressure across central Europe which

0:01:36 > 0:01:39is keeping these weather fronts swell to the north and west of the UK.

0:01:39 > 0:01:41Still a bit of a breeze for western Scotland,

0:01:41 > 0:01:45but staying fine and dry across the board.

0:01:45 > 0:01:47Mist, fog, low cloud slow to clear

0:01:47 > 0:01:50and many places will stay cloudy into the afternoon,

0:01:50 > 0:01:54and, again, a variation in temperatures where you have low cloud.

0:01:54 > 0:01:56On the cool side you get a bit of sunshine.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59Temperatures will be in the upper teens.

0:02:00 > 0:02:04On into Monday, light winds so early mist and fog, but generally

0:02:04 > 0:02:07the pattern remains the same, with high pressure across Europe.

0:02:07 > 0:02:08Low pressure close to Iceland.

0:02:08 > 0:02:12Weather fronts creeping their way to the far north west.

0:02:12 > 0:02:15Mist and fog a problem in the early morning,

0:02:15 > 0:02:17and it may linger into the afternoon.

0:02:17 > 0:02:20Again, a lot of cloud. A lot of dry weather through the day.

0:02:21 > 0:02:23Monday into Tuesday,

0:02:23 > 0:02:25we see this area of low pressure drift from the south.

0:02:25 > 0:02:28There are some questions marks about the detail with this,

0:02:28 > 0:02:30but, at the moment, it looks like it

0:02:30 > 0:02:32will clip its way through the far south west of the UK.

0:02:32 > 0:02:35The south west of England, maybe south Wales,

0:02:35 > 0:02:37will see outbreaks of rain and a breeze.

0:02:37 > 0:02:39Elsewhere, largely dry early mist and fog again,

0:02:39 > 0:02:42best of the brighter weather across Northern parts.

0:02:42 > 0:02:44Then question marks about the middle of next week.

0:02:44 > 0:02:47At the moment it looks like we are going to see this low

0:02:47 > 0:02:49drifting across the UK.

0:02:49 > 0:02:52That'll bring a cloudier day to the middle of next week.

0:02:52 > 0:02:55There's a chance of seeing some outbreaks of rain.

0:02:55 > 0:02:59Probably not heavy, not persistent, but a cloudy day with some rain.

0:02:59 > 0:03:03But, still those temperatures doing well, into double figures,

0:03:03 > 0:03:05maybe the upper teens for some.

0:03:05 > 0:03:09Now, later next week the position of the jet stream is to the north

0:03:09 > 0:03:15of the UK, the colder air to the north and warmer air to the south.

0:03:15 > 0:03:16We're still in the mild air.

0:03:16 > 0:03:19On the way into next weekend.

0:03:19 > 0:03:22Low pressure systems running their way up to Iceland,

0:03:22 > 0:03:24so the north west of the UK at risk of strong winds

0:03:24 > 0:03:27and outbreaks of or rain, but with high pressure towards the south

0:03:27 > 0:03:31and east that's the best of the dry and bright weather will be.
