0:00:03 > 0:00:06It was a mild Halloween. Temperatures in the middle to upper teens widely.

0:00:06 > 0:00:08Over night, it's fog that's the main issue.

0:00:08 > 0:00:09Some of that will be dense,

0:00:09 > 0:00:12particularly so across England and Wales.

0:00:12 > 0:00:13It will be slow to clear,

0:00:13 > 0:00:16but it should do for many areas into the afternoon.

0:00:16 > 0:00:19Some places are going to hang onto some low cloud which

0:00:19 > 0:00:21will have an effect on those temperatures.

0:00:21 > 0:00:22There is sunshine to be had.

0:00:22 > 0:00:26Northern Scotland will do well in the morning, and on into the afternoon.

0:00:26 > 0:00:27A decent day here.

0:00:27 > 0:00:32A bit more cloud further south, but staying essentially fine and dry.

0:00:32 > 0:00:34Low cloud over the hills.

0:00:34 > 0:00:36The north-east of England, through the Vale of York,

0:00:36 > 0:00:40we could see low cloud and mist and fog lingering in the afternoon.

0:00:40 > 0:00:42In the Midlands we'll see sunshine developing.

0:00:42 > 0:00:46Some southern counties may hang on to grey weather into the afternoon,

0:00:46 > 0:00:49and underneath the cloud temperatures will be 12-13 degrees.

0:00:49 > 0:00:52But, if you get a bit of sunshine, it's more like 16-17.

0:00:52 > 0:00:55Not as warm as it was on Saturday,

0:00:55 > 0:00:59but still a few degrees above where we should be.

0:00:59 > 0:01:02It looks good across Wales into the afternoon, good spells of sunshine,

0:01:02 > 0:01:07a bit of low cloud out towards the east, but further west 16-17 degrees.

0:01:07 > 0:01:09Very pleasant.

0:01:09 > 0:01:13More like 14-15 across Northern Ireland with cloud, but staying dry.

0:01:13 > 0:01:16Bright conditions on the north coast. Through the evening,

0:01:16 > 0:01:20the mist and fog will return across large sections of England, Wales,

0:01:20 > 0:01:23and maybe a bit in southern Scotland and Northern Ireland.

0:01:23 > 0:01:25Temperatures not dropping away too far,

0:01:25 > 0:01:29just slipping into single figures for some, in doubles for others.

0:01:30 > 0:01:32It's a grey start to Monday.

0:01:32 > 0:01:37Mist, fog slow to clear, but I think it will do, particularly so for the

0:01:37 > 0:01:40south-west of England, parts of Wales - sunny spells in the afternoon.

0:01:40 > 0:01:42The north-east of Scotland doing quite well.

0:01:42 > 0:01:45Maybe a bit of rain in the western side of Scotland.

0:01:45 > 0:01:46Elsewhere, it's a dry day.

0:01:46 > 0:01:49Temperatures with a bit of sunshine again in the middle to upper teens.

0:01:49 > 0:01:52If you've got the low cloud, 12 or 13.

0:01:52 > 0:01:55A change for Tuesday, rain in the west of Scotland

0:01:55 > 0:01:59and a little bit across the south-west of England.

0:01:59 > 0:02:01Maybe clipping the south of Wales later on.

0:02:01 > 0:02:04That's thanks to this area of low pressure drifting up from the south.

0:02:04 > 0:02:06Some question marks about the detail for this as we get

0:02:06 > 0:02:08on into the middle of the week,

0:02:08 > 0:02:12but it looks as if it'll be more unsettled in the middle of the week.

0:02:12 > 0:02:14A lot of cloud. Outbreaks of rain.

0:02:14 > 0:02:16Particularly in the south, some of which could be heavy,

0:02:16 > 0:02:18and maybe rain further north as well.

0:02:18 > 0:02:21Still, with a southerly breeze, it's on the mild side,

0:02:21 > 0:02:2515 or 16 degrees in the south, 11's and 12's further north.

0:02:25 > 0:02:27Towards Thursday, that first low out of the way,

0:02:27 > 0:02:29the next one coming in from the Atlantic.

0:02:29 > 0:02:31Those isobars getting closer together

0:02:31 > 0:02:34so the breeze is picking up from the south-west, which is always a mild

0:02:34 > 0:02:39direction, so temperatures still on the mild side, 12-15 or 16 degrees.

0:02:39 > 0:02:42Outbreaks of rain are likely to come in to the south-west of England

0:02:42 > 0:02:43and into Wales.

0:02:43 > 0:02:46Thursday night looks like it will be cloudy and breezy,

0:02:46 > 0:02:48and maybe some rain as well.

0:02:48 > 0:02:51We'll firm up that in the coming days.

0:02:51 > 0:02:54Here's the big picture for the latter part of next week.

0:02:54 > 0:02:56The jetstream is well to the north of the UK.

0:02:56 > 0:03:00Polar air to the north of it, milder to the south.

0:03:01 > 0:03:05The pressure pattern looks like we'll see low pressure to the

0:03:05 > 0:03:07north-west of the UK, up towards Iceland.

0:03:07 > 0:03:09High pressure across Central Europe.

0:03:09 > 0:03:12The resulting winds coming in from the south-west

0:03:12 > 0:03:14and that's going to keep things on the mild side.

0:03:14 > 0:03:18But, the closer you are to that low in the north and west

0:03:18 > 0:03:22you may well see some rain at times, so the south-east is drier.

0:03:22 > 0:03:24The breeze will be noticeable, but it's coming in from the south

0:03:24 > 0:03:27so it's staying on the mild side.

0:03:27 > 0:03:29More details on line.
