0:00:04 > 0:00:06Hello. The warm spell continues but for how much longer?

0:00:06 > 0:00:11We will see gradual changes with the weather over the next week or so.

0:00:11 > 0:00:14But Sunday is going to be warm - warmer than Saturday,

0:00:14 > 0:00:17potentially, when we got to 25 degrees across East Anglia.

0:00:17 > 0:00:20On Sunday, 26 or 27 is possible

0:00:20 > 0:00:23across some parts of England and Wales.

0:00:23 > 0:00:25Quite a bit warmer than Iberia.

0:00:25 > 0:00:27We'll see why it's cold here in just a moment.

0:00:27 > 0:00:30Should see lots of sun in Rome on Sunday.

0:00:30 > 0:00:32Up to 24 or 25 degrees here.

0:00:32 > 0:00:33But that's still lower

0:00:33 > 0:00:35than we'll see across the UK.

0:00:35 > 0:00:37And to the opposite end of the Mediterranean,

0:00:37 > 0:00:38even in the east here,

0:00:38 > 0:00:40some relatively cool air keeping

0:00:40 > 0:00:42temperatures at only around 20 Celsius

0:00:42 > 0:00:43in Athens and Istanbul.

0:00:43 > 0:00:45Low pressure weather fronts here

0:00:45 > 0:00:46bringing some showers.

0:00:46 > 0:00:48This area of low pressure -

0:00:48 > 0:00:49which will be one of the dominant features

0:00:49 > 0:00:52of the UK's weather in the coming days -

0:00:52 > 0:00:53keeping things cool and showery

0:00:53 > 0:00:55across Spain and Portugal.

0:00:55 > 0:00:57Around that low,

0:00:57 > 0:00:59we're drawing in the warmer air

0:00:59 > 0:01:01from France and Germany.

0:01:01 > 0:01:03Temperatures rising further on Sunday.

0:01:03 > 0:01:05There won't be as many showers.

0:01:05 > 0:01:07Most places dry and bright.

0:01:07 > 0:01:09Probably a brightER day

0:01:09 > 0:01:10across western Scotland

0:01:10 > 0:01:11and Northern Ireland.

0:01:11 > 0:01:13Isolated showers possible

0:01:13 > 0:01:14in the afternoon,

0:01:14 > 0:01:16but dry, sunny and warm

0:01:16 > 0:01:17in most places.

0:01:17 > 0:01:19WarmER than Saturday.

0:01:19 > 0:01:20Feeling warmer across southern Scotland

0:01:20 > 0:01:22and Northern Ireland. 20 Celsius possible.

0:01:22 > 0:01:24It'll be a brighter day on the east coast.

0:01:24 > 0:01:27Probably feeling warmer here too.

0:01:27 > 0:01:28Inland, across England and Wales,

0:01:28 > 0:01:30we could see 25, 26 or 27 Celsius.

0:01:30 > 0:01:32That low is still the dominant feature

0:01:32 > 0:01:34through Sunday and into Monday.

0:01:34 > 0:01:37High pressure across Scandinavia.

0:01:37 > 0:01:39We're between those two weather systems.

0:01:39 > 0:01:40The low is more influential

0:01:40 > 0:01:42with its weather front

0:01:42 > 0:01:43extending to the far south-west,

0:01:43 > 0:01:45bringing showery rain in here

0:01:45 > 0:01:47during the course of Monday.

0:01:47 > 0:01:48Ahead of that, we may again

0:01:48 > 0:01:49see isolated heavy showers

0:01:49 > 0:01:51but it's dry for most.

0:01:51 > 0:01:53Easterly winds mean that the east coast

0:01:53 > 0:01:55will again see the lowest temperatures

0:01:55 > 0:01:57struggling to get into the teens.

0:01:57 > 0:01:58But in the sunshine,

0:01:58 > 0:02:00particularly in western areas,

0:02:00 > 0:02:02it will be over 20 degrees once more.

0:02:02 > 0:02:04That weather front becomes more a feature

0:02:04 > 0:02:06on Monday night and into Tuesday.

0:02:06 > 0:02:08Some uncertainty about the timings

0:02:08 > 0:02:09of these weather fronts approaching.

0:02:09 > 0:02:11Because they're slow-moving,

0:02:11 > 0:02:13it makes a big difference to the weather.

0:02:13 > 0:02:14If you're stuck under it,

0:02:14 > 0:02:15it'll be a very wet day,

0:02:15 > 0:02:17but it could be a little further north

0:02:17 > 0:02:18or a little further south.

0:02:18 > 0:02:20Generally, across northern Britain,

0:02:20 > 0:02:22it's another fine and sunny day.

0:02:22 > 0:02:23Lovely conditions,

0:02:23 > 0:02:25particularly in the west of Scotland.

0:02:25 > 0:02:2618, 19 degrees.

0:02:26 > 0:02:28If you're stuck under that rain,

0:02:28 > 0:02:29which could be heavy during Tuesday,

0:02:29 > 0:02:32temperatures will be noticeably lower

0:02:32 > 0:02:33than right now.

0:02:33 > 0:02:35That weather front again just sitting on some areas

0:02:35 > 0:02:37of the country during the middle of the week.

0:02:37 > 0:02:38Again, it could be

0:02:38 > 0:02:40a little further south or north,

0:02:40 > 0:02:41but it's going to be slow-moving,

0:02:41 > 0:02:43so, if you do get wet, it may well rain all day.

0:02:43 > 0:02:46To the south, there may be scattered showers again.

0:02:46 > 0:02:48Across Scotland, it's generally dry.

0:02:48 > 0:02:49Now, we've shifted the wind pattern

0:02:49 > 0:02:50by the end of the week.

0:02:50 > 0:02:52Still with an easterly element,

0:02:52 > 0:02:54but more from the north-east,

0:02:54 > 0:02:55bringing a cooler feel.

0:02:55 > 0:02:58That front is dying so we're just left with a few showers on Thursday.

0:02:58 > 0:03:01By the end of the week, total switcharound -

0:03:01 > 0:03:05low pressure over Scandinavia, the low has gone from the south-west...

0:03:05 > 0:03:08Follow the isobars. They point all the way to the north.

0:03:08 > 0:03:13Air will be coming down from the north towards next weekend.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16It won't be anything like as warm as the current weekend,

0:03:16 > 0:03:18but generally it should be

0:03:18 > 0:03:20sunny spells and largely dry,

0:03:20 > 0:03:22but temperatures will be

0:03:22 > 0:03:23significantly lower.

0:03:23 > 0:03:25Back closer to the average,

0:03:25 > 0:03:26but it'll feel a lot cooler

0:03:26 > 0:03:27compared to this weekend.

0:03:27 > 0:03:29That's the weather for the week ahead.

0:03:29 > 0:03:31Goodbye.
