0:00:03 > 0:00:04Hello, there. Much of May so far

0:00:04 > 0:00:06has been a fairly changeable sort of month

0:00:06 > 0:00:08in terms of fluctuating temperatures,

0:00:08 > 0:00:09some heavy rain, some dry weather, too -

0:00:09 > 0:00:12and that story continues, certainly to end of this week.

0:00:12 > 0:00:14We're going to be seeing outbreaks of rain

0:00:14 > 0:00:16heading in from the Atlantic on these frontal systems,

0:00:16 > 0:00:19and also some drier and some brighter weather, too.

0:00:19 > 0:00:21Friday looks like a fairly bright and breezy day

0:00:21 > 0:00:24across many parts of the country - an improved day, I think,

0:00:24 > 0:00:25compared to Thursday, for many of us.

0:00:25 > 0:00:27There will be rain heading into western areas

0:00:27 > 0:00:30later in the afternoon - initially for Northern Ireland

0:00:30 > 0:00:32and then making its way into western parts

0:00:32 > 0:00:33of England and Wales.

0:00:33 > 0:00:35Before it gets there, a lot of dry weather,

0:00:35 > 0:00:37isolated showers for some central areas,

0:00:37 > 0:00:39and temperatures up to a fairly pleasant 20 degrees

0:00:39 > 0:00:41in the sunshine.

0:00:41 > 0:00:42Then, later on on Friday,

0:00:42 > 0:00:43we're going to start to see this band of rain

0:00:43 > 0:00:45working in from the south-west,

0:00:45 > 0:00:47heading its way northwards and eastwards

0:00:47 > 0:00:48as we head through the overnight period

0:00:48 > 0:00:51into Saturday - so, most parts of the country

0:00:51 > 0:00:53will see a spell of wet and fairly breezy weather,

0:00:53 > 0:00:55too, keeping overnight temperatures

0:00:55 > 0:00:57well in double figures -

0:00:57 > 0:00:58but Saturday will start

0:00:58 > 0:01:00on a bit of an unsettled and a bit of a soggy note

0:01:00 > 0:01:01for many of us.

0:01:01 > 0:01:03So, some uncertainty on the exact detail

0:01:03 > 0:01:05of this rain, but it looks at the moment

0:01:05 > 0:01:06like we'll see the heaviest of the rain

0:01:06 > 0:01:08for parts of the south-west of England,

0:01:08 > 0:01:10Wales, north-west England, Scotland, too -

0:01:10 > 0:01:11and that band of rain

0:01:11 > 0:01:13working into the south-east of England

0:01:13 > 0:01:14as we move through into the afternoon.

0:01:14 > 0:01:17Now, temperatures about 14-18 degrees or so,

0:01:17 > 0:01:18the main bulk of rain

0:01:18 > 0:01:20followed by brighter conditions,

0:01:20 > 0:01:23sunshine and showers following on from the west.

0:01:23 > 0:01:26Of course, the FA Cup final at Wembley later on on Saturday -

0:01:26 > 0:01:29chance that we could catch a little bit of light rain

0:01:29 > 0:01:32that should be gradually petering out on into the evening.

0:01:32 > 0:01:34By the time we get to Sunday,

0:01:34 > 0:01:36it looks like we'll hold on to some wet weather -

0:01:36 > 0:01:37initially, probably,

0:01:37 > 0:01:40for parts of the south-east of England, East Anglia, too.

0:01:40 > 0:01:42Elsewhere across the UK, it's a day of sunny spells

0:01:42 > 0:01:44and scattered showers,

0:01:44 > 0:01:46reasonably light winds around on Sunday, too,

0:01:46 > 0:01:48as we've got higher pressure building from the west

0:01:48 > 0:01:51and temperatures perhaps down a notch on recent days -

0:01:51 > 0:01:5314-18 degrees.

0:01:53 > 0:01:55Now, eventually, we'll lose that wet weather

0:01:55 > 0:01:57from southern and eastern areas,

0:01:57 > 0:01:59so, low pressure moving off towards the east gradually,

0:01:59 > 0:02:01late on Sunday into Monday,

0:02:01 > 0:02:02and a ridge of higher pressure

0:02:02 > 0:02:05building in from the Atlantic as we start the new working week.

0:02:05 > 0:02:07So, we take at Monday's weather, then,

0:02:07 > 0:02:10with that ridge of high pressure out towards the west.

0:02:10 > 0:02:12We're going to be left with more of a northerly

0:02:12 > 0:02:13or north-easterly air flow,

0:02:13 > 0:02:15so that means a fairly cool day

0:02:15 > 0:02:18for these eastern coasts of Scotland and England, too -

0:02:18 > 0:02:19anywhere exposed to the North Sea.

0:02:19 > 0:02:21Elsewhere across the country,

0:02:21 > 0:02:23a day of sunshine and a few showers still lingering -

0:02:23 > 0:02:25best of the warm and bright weather

0:02:25 > 0:02:26will be towards the south-west.

0:02:26 > 0:02:29A similar story on Tuesday, then.

0:02:29 > 0:02:30High pressure out towards the west,

0:02:30 > 0:02:32still a few scattered showers around,

0:02:32 > 0:02:35bit of a cool breeze around those eastern coasts,

0:02:35 > 0:02:37but it looks like later on Tuesday and into Wednesday

0:02:37 > 0:02:39we could see some rain working in,

0:02:39 > 0:02:40perhaps from the east -

0:02:40 > 0:02:43so, heading its way in across northern parts of the country.

0:02:43 > 0:02:45So, here's the set-up through the middle part of the week -

0:02:45 > 0:02:46low pressure well out

0:02:46 > 0:02:48towards the south-west of the UK.

0:02:48 > 0:02:50We could well see areas of rain working northwards,

0:02:50 > 0:02:52particularly heavy rain, perhaps,

0:02:52 > 0:02:54for parts of northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland

0:02:54 > 0:02:56by about Wednesday. Then, late next week,

0:02:56 > 0:02:58as we head towards the end of the week,

0:02:58 > 0:03:01we've still got that low sitting out towards the south-west.

0:03:01 > 0:03:03That will start to draw in a south-easterly air flow,

0:03:03 > 0:03:05so some warmer weather on the way -

0:03:05 > 0:03:07at least of the southern half of the country,

0:03:07 > 0:03:08whereas further north,

0:03:08 > 0:03:10winds coming from more of an easterly direction,

0:03:10 > 0:03:12so, that means slightly cooler conditions,

0:03:12 > 0:03:14and also the likelihood of some rain

0:03:14 > 0:03:16across some northern parts of the country.

0:03:16 > 0:03:17We could well see some heavy

0:03:17 > 0:03:18and some potentially thundery showers

0:03:18 > 0:03:20late next week,

0:03:20 > 0:03:21working their way in from the continent.

0:03:21 > 0:03:23Equally, some sunshine,

0:03:23 > 0:03:25and temperatures will be trending upwards,

0:03:25 > 0:03:28so, warming up as we head towards the end of May.

0:03:28 > 0:03:30We'll keep you up to date right here.

0:03:31 > 0:03:35Tanya Byron continues to separate couples desperate to save themselves

0:03:35 > 0:03:37and their relationships.

0:03:37 > 0:03:39I hate what I see in that mirror.

0:03:39 > 0:03:40It's make or break.

0:03:40 > 0:03:43If he's not changed, me and Pete aren't going to work.

0:03:43 > 0:03:47But can this experiment transform their unhealthy lifestyles?
