0:00:03 > 0:00:07Hello. Some complications remain with the forecast for the bank holiday weekend,

0:00:07 > 0:00:08particularly with regards to Monday.

0:00:08 > 0:00:11But, overall, for many of us, there's some fine weather to be had,

0:00:11 > 0:00:14largely dry through good chunks of the weekend,

0:00:14 > 0:00:16and when the sun is out, it will be warm.

0:00:16 > 0:00:18True, there will be a sprinkling of thunderstorms around and then,

0:00:18 > 0:00:20the question marks about Monday -

0:00:20 > 0:00:23it does look as though there will be some rain heading to the east.

0:00:23 > 0:00:26Further west, we've seen the thunderstorms during Friday

0:00:26 > 0:00:28and again on Saturday, likely to see some heavy,

0:00:28 > 0:00:31thundery downpours developing, particularly in the afternoon.

0:00:31 > 0:00:34As it brightens up, it could spark some intense storms

0:00:34 > 0:00:36over parts of Wales and southern counties of England.

0:00:36 > 0:00:38Some torrential downpours possible.

0:00:38 > 0:00:41Parts of Northern Ireland and West of Scotland may also see a downpour.

0:00:41 > 0:00:44Many places dry and brightening up after a grey start.

0:00:44 > 0:00:4722 in the sunshine, cooler on the North Sea coast

0:00:47 > 0:00:49where some places will stay rather grey.

0:00:49 > 0:00:53Now, those heavy showers will continue to trudge further north

0:00:53 > 0:00:54during Saturday evening,

0:00:54 > 0:00:57slowly fizzling out through the early hours of Sunday morning.

0:00:57 > 0:01:00So, many places start Sunday dry but wherever we've had a downpour,

0:01:00 > 0:01:02it leaves a lot of moisture

0:01:02 > 0:01:05so there could be a lot of mist and low cloud hanging around.

0:01:05 > 0:01:08There's not a lot of wind to shift that mist

0:01:08 > 0:01:11because the pressure pattern is pretty slack across the UK.

0:01:11 > 0:01:13Weak area of high pressure dominating, this area

0:01:13 > 0:01:15of low pressure is a significant player,

0:01:15 > 0:01:17though, as we go into Sunday and Monday.

0:01:17 > 0:01:20On Sunday, there is the potential for it to throw some rain

0:01:20 > 0:01:22late in the day across the far south-east.

0:01:22 > 0:01:26But, for many, Sunday is dry again, quite a lot of cloud in places,

0:01:26 > 0:01:29particularly the East Coast, but most of us seeing some sunshine.

0:01:29 > 0:01:31Not as many showers for Wales and south-west England.

0:01:31 > 0:01:34There will be some heavy ones, chiefly in the far north-west.

0:01:34 > 0:01:36And, again, in the sunshine, 20 degrees or more,

0:01:36 > 0:01:38noticeably cooler on the easternmost coast.

0:01:38 > 0:01:40And then, that area of low pressure.

0:01:40 > 0:01:43If you were with me yesterday, we were talking about the uncertainty -

0:01:43 > 0:01:46just how far in is that area of low pressure going to get?

0:01:46 > 0:01:49Where will the rain reach during the course of Monday?

0:01:49 > 0:01:52The computer models are getting a better handle on this

0:01:52 > 0:01:56and so the outlook now is that across parts of eastern England,

0:01:56 > 0:01:58that low pressure will be bringing cloud

0:01:58 > 0:02:01and some outbreaks of rain and an increasing breeze, too.

0:02:01 > 0:02:03Cloud thrown up generally across eastern areas,

0:02:03 > 0:02:06slowly moving west, but for much of western Britain,

0:02:06 > 0:02:08Monday looks like a half decent day.

0:02:08 > 0:02:11Temperatures in the sunny spells, 19 or 20 Celsius.

0:02:11 > 0:02:13Now, the low will drift across the UK

0:02:13 > 0:02:16at some point during Monday night and into Tuesday,

0:02:16 > 0:02:17and that will dominate the weather,

0:02:17 > 0:02:20certainly across England and Wales during Tuesday,

0:02:20 > 0:02:22bringing a lot of cloud and outbreaks of rain.

0:02:22 > 0:02:24Further north, high pressure is trying to build in,

0:02:24 > 0:02:26there could well still be a few showers around

0:02:26 > 0:02:29but with the winds coming from the east, western Scotland

0:02:29 > 0:02:32could see some decent temperatures with a bit of sunshine.

0:02:32 > 0:02:35Those eastern areas - always susceptible to breeze from the North Sea.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37With this set-up, high pressure across the north,

0:02:37 > 0:02:39low pressure to the south,

0:02:39 > 0:02:41we will continue to feed in those easterly winds.

0:02:41 > 0:02:43So, it's always going to be cooler in the east.

0:02:43 > 0:02:46The best of any brightness across the west.

0:02:46 > 0:02:48And that's how we look for much of next week.

0:02:48 > 0:02:51We start the week with low pressure bringing cloud and rain,

0:02:51 > 0:02:53particularly across England and Wales.

0:02:53 > 0:02:56Slowly, that will fail and fade and drift to the south

0:02:56 > 0:03:00and the high pressure to the north will become the dominant feature.

0:03:00 > 0:03:02But it could be a slow old process.

0:03:02 > 0:03:06The best of the dry and the bright weather likely across Scotland

0:03:06 > 0:03:08and Northern Ireland as that high builds in.

0:03:08 > 0:03:11With the flow coming around the high and around the low,

0:03:11 > 0:03:14the winds are always going to be coming in from the North Sea.

0:03:14 > 0:03:16Now, that is never going to be a warm wind direction

0:03:16 > 0:03:19so the outlook well into next week, no heatwave, staying cool.

0:03:19 > 0:03:22It will dry up as that low pressure system clears away.

0:03:22 > 0:03:26The best of the bright weather will be across western areas

0:03:26 > 0:03:29away from those winds and probably some of the warmest conditions, too.

0:03:29 > 0:03:30Goodbye.

0:03:32 > 0:03:33CROW CAWS

0:03:33 > 0:03:36# The whole world sitting on a ticking bomb...

0:03:36 > 0:03:38You should leave the monastery immediately.

0:03:38 > 0:03:40# The whole world sitting on a ticking bomb...

0:03:40 > 0:03:42You do not realise the danger.

0:03:42 > 0:03:46You are many things, Aramis, but a monk is not one of them.
