0:00:03 > 0:00:04Hello there.

0:00:04 > 0:00:07With no particularly strong jet stream blowing across the Atlantic

0:00:07 > 0:00:10at the moment, the weather patterns from day-to-day don't vary greatly.

0:00:10 > 0:00:12But in each individual location,

0:00:12 > 0:00:14there could be some stark contrasts from one day to the next.

0:00:14 > 0:00:17Now, we start with Wednesday.

0:00:17 > 0:00:20We've got a resurgence of humid air from the near Continent,

0:00:20 > 0:00:22to the south of this weather front.

0:00:22 > 0:00:25This weather front will divide that between something fresher,

0:00:25 > 0:00:27brighter, with just occasional showers through Wednesday,

0:00:27 > 0:00:30but on the front itself, which will meander between south-west

0:00:30 > 0:00:34England, Wales, the Midlands, Lincolnshire and the Wash,

0:00:34 > 0:00:36on that we will see some outbreaks of rain which every now and again

0:00:36 > 0:00:39could push a little further north into northern parts of England.

0:00:39 > 0:00:42Temperatures don't look vastly different from one

0:00:42 > 0:00:44side of the country to the next, OK, warmer towards the south and east,

0:00:44 > 0:00:47but it's here where it's increasingly muggy later in the day,

0:00:47 > 0:00:50that humid air really taking hold at the moment

0:00:50 > 0:00:52across France, and by the end of Wednesday afternoon it's across

0:00:52 > 0:00:55northern France we could see cells of severe thunderstorms develop.

0:00:55 > 0:00:58The general flow is a south-westerly one,

0:00:58 > 0:01:00so that'll take those through Wednesday evening

0:01:00 > 0:01:03and Wednesday night towards the south-east and East Anglia.

0:01:03 > 0:01:06Like we saw the other week, some of those could be quite torrential.

0:01:06 > 0:01:09Some of you will avoid them altogether, but in some spots

0:01:09 > 0:01:10you could see as much as

0:01:10 > 0:01:12half-a-month's rainfall in the space of an hour.

0:01:12 > 0:01:14As you look on Wednesday evening, you can see those storms

0:01:14 > 0:01:17work their way through.

0:01:17 > 0:01:20The exact position of them could change from one hour to the next.

0:01:20 > 0:01:22They will rumble out into the North Sea though, I think,

0:01:22 > 0:01:25as we start Thursday, one or two still close to Kent,

0:01:25 > 0:01:27but into Thursday most will be dry,

0:01:27 > 0:01:29one or two isolated showers in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

0:01:29 > 0:01:32The best of the sunshine away from East Anglia and the south-east,

0:01:32 > 0:01:35but you'll notice temperatures here still in the mid-20s.

0:01:35 > 0:01:37And some very sultry air to go with it.

0:01:37 > 0:01:40Which hangs around into Thursday evening,

0:01:40 > 0:01:42we could see a repeat performance of storms moving

0:01:42 > 0:01:45up from the near Continent during the evening, lasting the night

0:01:45 > 0:01:47and only slowly clearing into Friday morning.

0:01:47 > 0:01:50By Friday morning though, we start to see more in the way of

0:01:50 > 0:01:52showers across the western half of the country.

0:01:52 > 0:01:54Generally, more cloud across the UK on Friday, those showers

0:01:54 > 0:01:57becoming slow-moving, heavy and thundery in the west this time.

0:01:57 > 0:01:59Not as severe as those ones we've seen in the east,

0:01:59 > 0:02:01but they could get very close to Glastonbury.

0:02:01 > 0:02:04Maybe lasting into the evening before fading away.

0:02:04 > 0:02:06There are signs of a ridge of high pressure trying to build

0:02:06 > 0:02:07in by Saturday.

0:02:07 > 0:02:10So, the showers you see on here should be few and far between.

0:02:10 > 0:02:13And should be a little bit lighter than those on Friday,

0:02:13 > 0:02:16many of you should have a reasonably dry day.

0:02:16 > 0:02:18And there you go, the Azores High trying to build in

0:02:18 > 0:02:20as we finish Saturday and go into Sunday.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23Getting squeezed out a little bit as it recedes into Sunday

0:02:23 > 0:02:25itself, allowing these weather fronts to

0:02:25 > 0:02:26push into the north-west of Scotland.

0:02:26 > 0:02:29Bringing in a bit more persistent rain and gusty wind.

0:02:29 > 0:02:31A few showers can't be ruled out from the south and east.

0:02:31 > 0:02:34But I think in much of England and Wales - you will be into some

0:02:34 > 0:02:36drier weather by Sunday.

0:02:36 > 0:02:38And pleasant enough in the sunshine after a misty

0:02:38 > 0:02:40and foggy start in places.

0:02:40 > 0:02:42So the high has receded for Sunday

0:02:42 > 0:02:44but by the time we get into Monday,

0:02:44 > 0:02:47it could well start to build in once again,

0:02:47 > 0:02:50and in doing so, the weather front as it tries to work its way south

0:02:50 > 0:02:53and east across the country, fizzles out into nothing more than showers.

0:02:53 > 0:02:56And that pattern of the high pressure extending into

0:02:56 > 0:03:00the UK and relaxing away, will continue as we go through next week.

0:03:00 > 0:03:02So it's going to produce a fairly variable pattern,

0:03:02 > 0:03:05nothing drastic though, from one day to the next.

0:03:05 > 0:03:07Southern areas always closest to that area of high pressure

0:03:07 > 0:03:10but every now and again as that pushes away,

0:03:10 > 0:03:12the showers which will be more prone to the north and west will

0:03:12 > 0:03:15work their way across other parts of the country,

0:03:15 > 0:03:19whether it's just individual showers or a spell of slightly longer rain.

0:03:19 > 0:03:21But before you've seen them arrive,

0:03:21 > 0:03:25they will be almost gone again, high pressure builds in once more.

0:03:25 > 0:03:28So it's a constantly changing pattern throughout next week

0:03:28 > 0:03:30and we'll keep you updated every step of the way.
