0:00:03 > 0:00:04It's been another unsettled week.

0:00:04 > 0:00:08We've had plenty of interruptions to play at Wimbledon, for instance.

0:00:08 > 0:00:10That's really continued the theme of much of the month of June.

0:00:10 > 0:00:12Now we're into July,

0:00:12 > 0:00:14taking a quick look back at the provisional statistics.

0:00:14 > 0:00:17It was a dull and a damp month. Slightly warmer than average.

0:00:17 > 0:00:20And the sunniest of the weather was found across Shetland.

0:00:20 > 0:00:22But many of us were lacking the sunshine.

0:00:22 > 0:00:25Here's a picture taken by one of our weather watchers on Saturday.

0:00:25 > 0:00:28The first half of the weekend brought that typical mix

0:00:28 > 0:00:31of sunshine and heavy showers across much of the country.

0:00:31 > 0:00:33Onto Sunday, it will be the better day of the weekend.

0:00:33 > 0:00:35So I think fewer showers, lighter winds,

0:00:35 > 0:00:37and a bit more in the way of sunshine.

0:00:37 > 0:00:40Bit of showery rain for a time along the English Channel.

0:00:40 > 0:00:42That could affect the Channel Isles, the Isle of Wight,

0:00:42 > 0:00:43the far south coast.

0:00:43 > 0:00:46And some showers also still for Scotland,

0:00:46 > 0:00:47where it will be quite breezy.

0:00:47 > 0:00:50But elsewhere across the UK, lots of dry weather,

0:00:50 > 0:00:53and temperatures ranging between around about 15 to 22 degrees.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56It will feel pleasant with the light winds and the sunshine,

0:00:56 > 0:00:58particularly in the south.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00But we haven't quite lost that unsettled theme

0:01:00 > 0:01:02as we head through Sunday night into the new working week,

0:01:02 > 0:01:05as this waving weather front starts to move in from the Atlantic.

0:01:05 > 0:01:08There's some uncertainty about the behaviour of this front.

0:01:08 > 0:01:11But it looks like we'll see a spell of rain initially

0:01:11 > 0:01:13for parts of Wales, perhaps pushing through the Midlands,

0:01:13 > 0:01:15up towards northern England for a time, too.

0:01:15 > 0:01:17To the south of that, it's a drier story,

0:01:17 > 0:01:19and with the south-westerly breeze,

0:01:19 > 0:01:22feeling quite warm and humid at around 21 degrees.

0:01:22 > 0:01:24Further north, to the north of the front,

0:01:24 > 0:01:26a little bit fresher feel to things with sunshine and showers.

0:01:26 > 0:01:29But early through this coming week, it looks like humid air will start

0:01:29 > 0:01:32to just drift in from the south-west,

0:01:32 > 0:01:34bringing a different feel to the weather.

0:01:34 > 0:01:37Although temperatures not too dissimilar from the past few days.

0:01:37 > 0:01:39That humidity will bring a different feel.

0:01:39 > 0:01:42A bit of a muggy feel at times, and the more humid conditions

0:01:42 > 0:01:44could just spark a few heavy showers and thunderstorms,

0:01:44 > 0:01:46perhaps, on Tuesday, across some south-eastern areas.

0:01:46 > 0:01:48Sunshine and showers,

0:01:48 > 0:01:51but I think a lot of dry weather in between any of the showers.

0:01:51 > 0:01:5216 to 22 degrees.

0:01:52 > 0:01:55Looking on into the middle of the week, we've got this ridge

0:01:55 > 0:01:58of high pressure which is pushing in from the south-west,

0:01:58 > 0:01:59so that will quieten things down.

0:01:59 > 0:02:01I think most places going to be dry on Wednesday.

0:02:01 > 0:02:04We can't rule out perhaps one or two showers lingering in the east.

0:02:04 > 0:02:07Perhaps a bit of rain in the far north-west also,

0:02:07 > 0:02:08but I think for much of the country,

0:02:08 > 0:02:11light winds and a largely dry day to come on Wednesday,

0:02:11 > 0:02:14with highs around about 14 to 22 Celsius.

0:02:14 > 0:02:17A similar picture on Thursday - high pressure still holding on,

0:02:17 > 0:02:19particularly across England and Wales.

0:02:19 > 0:02:21We could well see the breeze picking up cloud moving in

0:02:21 > 0:02:24and outbreaks of rain later on for Northern Ireland and for Scotland.

0:02:24 > 0:02:26But we've still got the relatively warm

0:02:26 > 0:02:29and humid conditions further south-east.

0:02:29 > 0:02:32As we look towards the end of the week, then, Thursday into Friday,

0:02:32 > 0:02:35a weather front heading in towards the north-west,

0:02:35 > 0:02:38and high pressure holding on towards the south-east.

0:02:38 > 0:02:41That means we've got this south-westerly flow of air

0:02:41 > 0:02:43as we head towards the latter part of this coming week.

0:02:43 > 0:02:46Weather fronts moving in on that south-westerly breeze.

0:02:46 > 0:02:49It's likely we'll see spells of rain, windy conditions at times,

0:02:49 > 0:02:51particularly towards the north-west of the country.

0:02:51 > 0:02:54Less windy, drier, and warmer weather holding on

0:02:54 > 0:02:56towards the south-east later in the week.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59Looking even further ahead, on into next weekend,

0:02:59 > 0:03:00it looks like those weather fronts

0:03:00 > 0:03:02will move their way across the country,

0:03:02 > 0:03:04once again introducing fresher conditions,

0:03:04 > 0:03:06a little bit like this one, across all parts,

0:03:06 > 0:03:09with that mix of sunshine and showers set to return.

0:03:09 > 0:03:12Fairly similar to how we started the period.

0:03:12 > 0:03:14So, looking ahead over the next ten days or so,

0:03:14 > 0:03:16all in all, here's a summary.

0:03:16 > 0:03:18Staying unsettled, with spells of rain or showers.

0:03:18 > 0:03:21It will be humid at times, particularly in the south-east,

0:03:21 > 0:03:23but it's also towards the south-east

0:03:23 > 0:03:26that we should see the driest and the warmest conditions at times.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29We'll keep you up-to-date right here once again tomorrow. Bye-bye.

0:03:32 > 0:03:33MUSIC: What A Wonderful World by Joey Ramone

0:03:33 > 0:03:35# I see trees of green... # Just look at that.

0:03:35 > 0:03:38# Red roses too

0:03:38 > 0:03:40# I see them bloom

0:03:40 > 0:03:42# For me and you

0:03:42 > 0:03:45# And I say to myself
