0:00:03 > 0:00:06Hello there. If you're hoping I'm going to tell you we're going to

0:00:06 > 0:00:08have some prolonged warm, dry, settled weather,

0:00:08 > 0:00:10you're probably going to be out of luck.

0:00:10 > 0:00:12No significant changes in our weather.

0:00:12 > 0:00:16The warm, dry, settled weather is with this high pressure.

0:00:16 > 0:00:19It's across a good part of France and across Spain.

0:00:19 > 0:00:22Instead, our weather is going to be dominated

0:00:22 > 0:00:24again by areas of low pressure.

0:00:24 > 0:00:26The one that's arriving on Saturday is a bit deeper,

0:00:26 > 0:00:29so the winds are a bit stronger, and it's bringing outbreaks of rain,

0:00:29 > 0:00:31particularly across Wales, northern England.

0:00:31 > 0:00:34Showers or longer spells of rain for Scotland and Northern Ireland,

0:00:34 > 0:00:37probably drying up across the south-east, the Midlands,

0:00:37 > 0:00:39East Anglia, as well, and here we've got some very warm

0:00:39 > 0:00:43and humid air. Temperatures could get into the mid-twenties.

0:00:43 > 0:00:47Further north, about 19 or 20 is going to be fairly typical.

0:00:47 > 0:00:49Some rain as we head into the evening,

0:00:49 > 0:00:52and this band of rain here will start to ease its way towards

0:00:52 > 0:00:56the south-east later on Saturday night into Sunday morning,

0:00:56 > 0:00:59showers coming back into Scotland and Northern Ireland.

0:00:59 > 0:01:02Another very warm one, especially for England and Wales.

0:01:02 > 0:01:05A humid start to the second half of the weekend.

0:01:05 > 0:01:10Our area of low pressure seems to be sitting to the north-west of the UK.

0:01:10 > 0:01:12That weather from there is producing a little rain or

0:01:12 > 0:01:16drizzle across the south-east, East Anglia on Sunday morning.

0:01:16 > 0:01:18It should clear in time for the start of Wimbledon,

0:01:18 > 0:01:21but there could be some showers following on behind that

0:01:21 > 0:01:23across England and Wales. Blustery winds, too.

0:01:23 > 0:01:26Not bad if you get the sunshine, reasonable temperatures.

0:01:26 > 0:01:29Cooler for Scotland and Northern Ireland, especially in the west of

0:01:29 > 0:01:32Scotland and Northern Ireland, where we'll find showers or longer

0:01:32 > 0:01:35spells of rain because we're closer to that area of low pressure.

0:01:35 > 0:01:39The centre of that low pressure will start to drift towards England and

0:01:39 > 0:01:43Wales on Monday, so essentially it's right over the top of the country.

0:01:43 > 0:01:46Around the southern flank of that low pressure we'll have some

0:01:46 > 0:01:48stronger winds across South Wales, southern England,

0:01:48 > 0:01:51but, as you can see, there'll be widespread showers.

0:01:51 > 0:01:54In the south they'll move fairly quickly. They'll still be heavy.

0:01:54 > 0:01:57Further north across the UK, where the winds are lighter,

0:01:57 > 0:02:00the showers will be slow-moving and could linger for quite some time,

0:02:00 > 0:02:03and the possibility of some localised flooding, perhaps.

0:02:03 > 0:02:05Still quite a few showers to come on Tuesday, as well,

0:02:05 > 0:02:09especially for eastern Scotland and for a while across eastern England.

0:02:09 > 0:02:11Showers much fewer and further between.

0:02:11 > 0:02:13It may well be dry towards the south-west

0:02:13 > 0:02:14and across Northern Ireland, too.

0:02:14 > 0:02:18We've got this slightly cooler - "fresher," probably a better term -

0:02:18 > 0:02:21north-westerly air flow as we head into the middle of the week.

0:02:21 > 0:02:23Keeping an eye on that area of low pressure.

0:02:23 > 0:02:25Probably not going to reach us on Wednesday.

0:02:25 > 0:02:27Instead, there'll be some sunshine around.

0:02:27 > 0:02:31Probably more showers in the south this time on Wednesday,

0:02:31 > 0:02:33and temperatures won't be quite as high.

0:02:33 > 0:02:35We're looking at around 16 to 19 degrees.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37That's not too clever for this time of the year.

0:02:37 > 0:02:40That low pressure I mentioned looks like it's going to steer

0:02:40 > 0:02:44its way to the south of the UK, and all eyes on this high pressure.

0:02:44 > 0:02:48We need that to build in to give us any prolonged dry weather.

0:02:48 > 0:02:50And it's been delayed, in fact.

0:02:50 > 0:02:52I'm not sure how much of it is going to arrive.

0:02:52 > 0:02:55We've got a big low pressure coming in from the Atlantic.

0:02:55 > 0:02:58And with the jet stream later in the week into next weekend

0:02:58 > 0:03:02in this position again, we're just going to steer low pressures

0:03:02 > 0:03:05close to the UK, particularly towards the north-west of the UK.

0:03:05 > 0:03:09So we'll probably end up with more of a north/south split, if you like,

0:03:09 > 0:03:11later in the week into the weekend.

0:03:11 > 0:03:14It'll be a drier start with that brief ridge of high pressure.

0:03:14 > 0:03:17Wetter, windier weather across the north, always going to be that bit

0:03:17 > 0:03:22warmer in the south, where it should be drier from time to time

0:03:22 > 0:03:24and maybe a little humid from time to time, as well.

0:03:24 > 0:03:26But essentially, the weather is staying very

0:03:26 > 0:03:29unsettled for the foreseeable future. Goodbye.
