0:00:03 > 0:00:05Hello. There are some changes on the way

0:00:05 > 0:00:06for the weather for the week ahead.

0:00:06 > 0:00:08It's going to be quite a roller-coaster ride,

0:00:08 > 0:00:11especially in terms of temperatures.

0:00:11 > 0:00:14What we are seeing at the moment is that pressure is rising.

0:00:14 > 0:00:18This area of high pressure is holding up from the south-west, that

0:00:18 > 0:00:22is settling things down, not just on Sunday but over the next few days.

0:00:22 > 0:00:25There's going to be little, if any, rain around.

0:00:25 > 0:00:27With increasing amounts of sunshine,

0:00:27 > 0:00:32we are going to find temperatures rising in the next couple of days.

0:00:32 > 0:00:36We start Sunday with some sunshine in places but quite a lot of

0:00:36 > 0:00:41cloud developing and spreading out, especially over inland areas.

0:00:41 > 0:00:44Perhaps the best of the sunshine by the afternoon, west Wales,

0:00:44 > 0:00:46south-west England along the south coast.

0:00:46 > 0:00:49Sunny spells in northern England and eastern Scotland.

0:00:49 > 0:00:52Temperatures on Sunday very similar to those of Saturday.

0:00:52 > 0:00:57A lot of this cloud will then fade away as the sun goes down.

0:00:57 > 0:01:01While there won't be clear skies everywhere, Sunday night and

0:01:01 > 0:01:05Monday morning could be a good time to watch the meteor shower.

0:01:05 > 0:01:07Hardly a breath of wind overnight,

0:01:07 > 0:01:10a little chilly across northern parts of the UK.

0:01:10 > 0:01:14For Monday we start bright and sunny in most areas.

0:01:14 > 0:01:16There will be a little bit of patchy cloud but we won't see

0:01:16 > 0:01:18a repeat performance of Sunday,

0:01:18 > 0:01:22we won't see that cloud spreading out and spoiling the sunshine.

0:01:22 > 0:01:24So more high temperatures,

0:01:24 > 0:01:28a bit more warmth around and that warmth will push northwards

0:01:28 > 0:01:30into southern Scotland and Northern Ireland.

0:01:30 > 0:01:33So temperatures improving here.

0:01:33 > 0:01:36High pressure by Monday into Tuesday is centred more to the east

0:01:36 > 0:01:37of the UK.

0:01:37 > 0:01:39We'll start to see the breeze just freshening

0:01:39 > 0:01:43a touch across western areas and where we have an onshore breeze,

0:01:43 > 0:01:45say along the south coast of England,

0:01:45 > 0:01:47maybe a gentle breeze along the east coast as well.

0:01:47 > 0:01:49Temperatures will be held back a touch.

0:01:49 > 0:01:51But another nice warm day,

0:01:51 > 0:01:55temperatures widely, in the sunshine, low-to-mid 20s.

0:01:55 > 0:01:59On Wednesday, things start to change a little bit but probably

0:01:59 > 0:02:01only in the west.

0:02:01 > 0:02:04We have still got high pressure across most of the UK, this

0:02:04 > 0:02:08weather front is beginning to arrive into western areas and bring a

0:02:08 > 0:02:12few showers into Northern Ireland, perhaps Wales and the south-west.

0:02:12 > 0:02:15We could get a rumble or two of thunder, the odd flash of lightning.

0:02:15 > 0:02:19For many places it is still going to be a dry day and a warm one as well.

0:02:19 > 0:02:21Temperatures probably peaking on Wednesday.

0:02:21 > 0:02:25Highs of around the mid-20s across east Wales,

0:02:25 > 0:02:26the Midlands towards the south-east.

0:02:26 > 0:02:29Could get as high as 26 or 27 degrees.

0:02:29 > 0:02:33At one stage it looked like we were going to get 30 degrees or so but,

0:02:33 > 0:02:34in order to get that,

0:02:34 > 0:02:37we needed to have our winds coming up from France and Spain,

0:02:37 > 0:02:40but instead, the breeze more from the east,

0:02:40 > 0:02:43more from the Low Countries and perhaps from Germany as well.

0:02:43 > 0:02:48Later in the week, we see our first weather front bringing those

0:02:48 > 0:02:50showers in the west just fading away.

0:02:50 > 0:02:53We get a second push in from the Atlantic with an area of low

0:02:53 > 0:02:56pressure trying to drive some rain into the UK.

0:02:56 > 0:02:58But it is a painfully slow process.

0:02:58 > 0:03:01Most of the models take the low pressure to the south-west

0:03:01 > 0:03:03so this is where we will see most of the rain into the end of the week,

0:03:03 > 0:03:06for the start of the weekend.

0:03:06 > 0:03:09That low pressure may pull away and the Azores High returns.

0:03:09 > 0:03:13But perhaps only briefly by the end of the weekend.

0:03:13 > 0:03:17What we are seeing in the longer term is things turning much

0:03:17 > 0:03:19more unsettled. There will be some sunshine around

0:03:19 > 0:03:21but we are going to find

0:03:21 > 0:03:23a little rain, mostly in the west.

0:03:23 > 0:03:26Temperatures will be dropping nearer to where they

0:03:26 > 0:03:29should be at this time of the year.

0:03:29 > 0:03:31That's it. Goodbye.
