0:00:03 > 0:00:04Hello again. Last week,

0:00:04 > 0:00:06some areas of the UK had too much Atlantic rain,

0:00:06 > 0:00:10other areas - nothing at all. A change of fortunes perhaps,

0:00:10 > 0:00:11later this week.

0:00:11 > 0:00:13The next few days, though, look like being dry

0:00:13 > 0:00:16and it's going to be turning warmer as well,

0:00:16 > 0:00:19mainly because there will be more sunshine on offer.

0:00:19 > 0:00:21Then, from midweek onwards, things turn more unsettled,

0:00:21 > 0:00:24some rain for some areas.

0:00:24 > 0:00:26No sign of that rain just yet, though.

0:00:26 > 0:00:29We've got high pressure building in across the UK.

0:00:29 > 0:00:31That is keeping it fine and dry

0:00:31 > 0:00:34and there won't be as much cloud around

0:00:34 > 0:00:35by Monday morning as well,

0:00:35 > 0:00:38so plenty of sunshine, a bit of patchy cloud here and there.

0:00:38 > 0:00:41The cloud may build and spread out again

0:00:41 > 0:00:43late morning into lunchtime,

0:00:43 > 0:00:46but the cloud even thinner on Monday,

0:00:46 > 0:00:47so it will break up,

0:00:47 > 0:00:49sunshine develops more widely in the afternoon,

0:00:49 > 0:00:51there will be more sunshine on offer

0:00:51 > 0:00:53than there was on Sunday,

0:00:53 > 0:00:55so it should be warmer just about across the board.

0:00:55 > 0:00:57A very pleasant day in the sunshine

0:00:57 > 0:01:00and warming up again very quickly on Tuesday,

0:01:00 > 0:01:02dry and sunny weather for most parts of the country,

0:01:02 > 0:01:04perhaps a little more cloud at times

0:01:04 > 0:01:06down some eastern areas of England

0:01:06 > 0:01:09and the onshore breeze too, but away from here,

0:01:09 > 0:01:11we're going to find temperatures continuing to rise.

0:01:11 > 0:01:14Highest temperatures mid, possibly high 20s

0:01:14 > 0:01:17across Wales and the West Country.

0:01:17 > 0:01:20The really hot air that looked like it might reach us at one stage

0:01:20 > 0:01:25is really across Spain. It gets as far north as northern France,

0:01:25 > 0:01:28but the wind flow is crucial around the high pressure,

0:01:28 > 0:01:32our air perhaps coming more from Germany and the Low Countries.

0:01:32 > 0:01:34Still very warm, mind you,

0:01:34 > 0:01:36and we've still got high pressure around

0:01:36 > 0:01:39as we head midweek, but it's a bit further east and coming into that,

0:01:39 > 0:01:41we're going to find these weather fronts.

0:01:41 > 0:01:43This is the first sign of any real rain.

0:01:43 > 0:01:45It's going to be showery rain

0:01:45 > 0:01:47across Northern Ireland, Wales,

0:01:47 > 0:01:48the south-west by Wednesday.

0:01:48 > 0:01:50There could be one or two thunderstorms as well.

0:01:50 > 0:01:52Very humid air for Wales and the south-west,

0:01:52 > 0:01:55temperatures not quite as high as they will be on Tuesday.

0:01:55 > 0:01:58It is further east that will stay dry

0:01:58 > 0:02:00and there will be some sunshine

0:02:00 > 0:02:01and it's going to get pretty warm.

0:02:01 > 0:02:03We are looking at the highest temperatures

0:02:03 > 0:02:06probably through the Midlands towards the south-east,

0:02:06 > 0:02:07but very warm in the Moray Firth,

0:02:07 > 0:02:10much warmer here than it has been for quite some time.

0:02:10 > 0:02:12Things get more uncertain as we head into Thursday,

0:02:12 > 0:02:14partly because everything is slowing down.

0:02:14 > 0:02:16We could see an area of low pressure developing

0:02:16 > 0:02:18and bringing rain rather than heat

0:02:18 > 0:02:19up from the near continent.

0:02:19 > 0:02:22This rain actually overnight and into Thursday

0:02:22 > 0:02:24for a while could be heavy and possibly thundery

0:02:24 > 0:02:26across Wales and southern England.

0:02:26 > 0:02:28A bit of rain for Northern Ireland, perhaps,

0:02:28 > 0:02:31but further north and north-east, it remains dry,

0:02:31 > 0:02:33but we've got an easterly breeze,

0:02:33 > 0:02:35so it's not going to be quite as warm.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37Then towards the end of the week,

0:02:37 > 0:02:39we're looking at another area of low pressure,

0:02:39 > 0:02:41uncertain exactly where it is going to be.

0:02:41 > 0:02:43It threatens to bring some rain into the south-west.

0:02:43 > 0:02:46We've still got that weather front around on Friday.

0:02:46 > 0:02:49The rain, though, nowhere near as heavy as early Thursday.

0:02:49 > 0:02:50It's sort of showery rain

0:02:50 > 0:02:52that could be a little bit further north,

0:02:52 > 0:02:55but, again, for north-eastern areas of the UK,

0:02:55 > 0:02:58it remains fine and dry with some sunshine.

0:02:58 > 0:03:00Heading into the weekend, then,

0:03:00 > 0:03:01it all hinges on what happens

0:03:01 > 0:03:03to this area of low pressure.

0:03:03 > 0:03:06It looks like we are going to see some showery rain around,

0:03:06 > 0:03:07at least to start the weekend,

0:03:07 > 0:03:10could see this nose of high pressure building in,

0:03:10 > 0:03:12but there is more low pressure

0:03:12 > 0:03:14to cut that off coming in from the Atlantic,

0:03:14 > 0:03:16so further ahead, after the weekend,

0:03:16 > 0:03:19things turning more changeable, more unsettled.

0:03:19 > 0:03:21Some rain at times. Everything coming in from the west,

0:03:21 > 0:03:24so most of the rain will be in the western side of the UK.

0:03:24 > 0:03:25Temperatures back down

0:03:25 > 0:03:27to where they should be at this time of the year,

0:03:27 > 0:03:29but pleasant in the sunshine.
