0:00:02 > 0:00:05Hello, there. Forget about 30 degrees, forget about a month's rain

0:00:05 > 0:00:07in 24 hours.

0:00:07 > 0:00:11This week, the weather is much more normal for the time of year.

0:00:11 > 0:00:13No extremes on the way.

0:00:13 > 0:00:16We're going to find some sunshine from time to time.

0:00:16 > 0:00:20There will be some rain, too, nothing particularly heavy,

0:00:20 > 0:00:21most of it in the north west,

0:00:21 > 0:00:25and temperatures nearer maybe just above normal for the time of year.

0:00:25 > 0:00:28We've got some weather fronts on the scene on Tuesday.

0:00:28 > 0:00:30This one will give us more impetus from midweek onwards.

0:00:30 > 0:00:35This one here is very weak but it is stuck across eastern England so

0:00:35 > 0:00:38we're seeing more cloud and we're seeing some further rain or drizzle.

0:00:38 > 0:00:39It should freshen up a touch, though,

0:00:39 > 0:00:41as we head into the afternoon.

0:00:41 > 0:00:43Further west, and north, no such worries.

0:00:43 > 0:00:45One or two early mist and fog patches but otherwise,

0:00:45 > 0:00:47some sunshine from time to time.

0:00:47 > 0:00:50So, another decent day for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

0:00:50 > 0:00:52Later in the north west, will see the cloud increasing,

0:00:52 > 0:00:55maybe a few showers arriving, too.

0:00:55 > 0:00:56For north west England, for Wales,

0:00:56 > 0:00:59and for the south west of England this time, it should be dry.

0:00:59 > 0:01:01There will be little sunshine as well,

0:01:01 > 0:01:02so brightening up from time to time.

0:01:02 > 0:01:05It's eastern England again that will be a bit of a struggle,

0:01:05 > 0:01:08not as wet, though, as Monday, the rain and drizzle does tend to

0:01:08 > 0:01:11peter out but it brightens up, watch out for a few heavy showers

0:01:11 > 0:01:14for East Anglia and the extreme south east of England.

0:01:14 > 0:01:17That weather front eventually dies out by Wednesday and then we

0:01:17 > 0:01:20look to the west to see our next weather system,

0:01:20 > 0:01:23an area of low pressure, weather front arriving to bring some

0:01:23 > 0:01:26rain in the afternoon on Wednesday to Northern Ireland.

0:01:26 > 0:01:27Strengthening winds, ahead of it

0:01:27 > 0:01:30a few sharp showers for the western areas.

0:01:30 > 0:01:32Eastern parts of the UK, probably try,

0:01:32 > 0:01:35and with some sunshine in eastern England, a warmer day by Wednesday.

0:01:35 > 0:01:37That weather front, then, sweeps across the whole of the UK

0:01:37 > 0:01:39as we move to Thursday.

0:01:39 > 0:01:42Most of the rain overnight in Scotland but on Thursday,

0:01:42 > 0:01:46that weather front could trigger a few sharp showers across

0:01:46 > 0:01:48East Anglia and the south east of England.

0:01:48 > 0:01:50The rest of England and Wales, probably dry.

0:01:50 > 0:01:52Quite a bit of sunshine, too.

0:01:52 > 0:01:53Sunshine for eastern Scotland.

0:01:53 > 0:01:55Western Scotland, Northern Ireland,

0:01:55 > 0:01:58the winds will freshen and will blow in some outbreaks of rain here.

0:01:58 > 0:02:01And more to come probably on Friday.

0:02:01 > 0:02:04Those showers should be clearing away from the south east on Friday,

0:02:04 > 0:02:06most of England and Wales, decent day, some sunshine.

0:02:06 > 0:02:08Wetter, windier weather

0:02:08 > 0:02:10for western Scotland and Northern Ireland.

0:02:10 > 0:02:13The winds pick up for all of us on Friday,

0:02:13 > 0:02:15but it is this conveyor belt of cloud,

0:02:15 > 0:02:17thick cloud, outbreaks of rain, that's just making a beeline

0:02:17 > 0:02:20on Saturday for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23Heavy rain over the western hills of Scotland, gale force winds

0:02:23 > 0:02:26are likely around some western hills and coasts across the UK.

0:02:26 > 0:02:29England and Wales, probably a decent day on Saturday.

0:02:29 > 0:02:31Some sunshine, especially towards the south east,

0:02:31 > 0:02:33and here it will be quite warm as well.

0:02:33 > 0:02:35Now, at the moment, on Sunday,

0:02:35 > 0:02:39it looks like this band of rain should sweep across England

0:02:39 > 0:02:43and Wales, clearing sufficiently early enough to give us some

0:02:43 > 0:02:44sunshine and a few blustery showers.

0:02:44 > 0:02:47But it could stall, it could be delayed.

0:02:47 > 0:02:49If we look out across the other side of the Atlantic,

0:02:49 > 0:02:52there's a stronger jet that's propagating our way.

0:02:52 > 0:02:56Those upper level winds pick up and steer areas of low pressure

0:02:56 > 0:03:00towards the north west of the UK so we continue this north west

0:03:00 > 0:03:01south east split.

0:03:01 > 0:03:05The position of the jet stream crucial because it keeps

0:03:05 > 0:03:08warmer more tropical air across much of the UK

0:03:08 > 0:03:11over the six to ten day period

0:03:11 > 0:03:15so towards the north west, again closer to areas of low pressure,

0:03:15 > 0:03:17it will be windier, there will be rain at times.

0:03:17 > 0:03:20Towards the south east, though, not completely dry,

0:03:20 > 0:03:22but there will be drier conditions.

0:03:22 > 0:03:24Some sunshine, lighter winds,

0:03:24 > 0:03:27some early mist and fog but here it should feel bit warmer as well.

0:03:27 > 0:03:29That's it. Goodbye.

0:03:32 > 0:03:34Is it him? Yeah.

0:03:34 > 0:03:38She's happy and she's settled.
