0:00:00 > 0:00:02Hello, this is the forecast that looks

0:00:02 > 0:00:04a little bit further ahead than the others, and as such,

0:00:04 > 0:00:06it encompasses not one, but two weekends.

0:00:06 > 0:00:07Next weekend will be

0:00:07 > 0:00:10a little bit colder than this weekend.

0:00:10 > 0:00:11Next weekend we find ourselves

0:00:11 > 0:00:12in a spring-like mood

0:00:12 > 0:00:15after several days of mild weather,

0:00:15 > 0:00:16and that's certainly staying

0:00:16 > 0:00:17that way through this weekend.

0:00:17 > 0:00:19Temperatures in double figures,

0:00:19 > 0:00:20the breeze starting to pick up.

0:00:20 > 0:00:22Even milder weather, though, is

0:00:22 > 0:00:24on the way at the start of next week.

0:00:24 > 0:00:26For Monday, temperatures

0:00:26 > 0:00:28will be heading up. How high?

0:00:28 > 0:00:31Well, it's just possible somewhere could get to...

0:00:31 > 0:00:32Wait for it.

0:00:32 > 0:00:34..17 Celsius.

0:00:34 > 0:00:36It's a possibility on Monday,

0:00:36 > 0:00:37not a guarantee,

0:00:37 > 0:00:39but certainly very mild for

0:00:39 > 0:00:41the time of year for all of us.

0:00:41 > 0:00:42Not hugely sunny though,

0:00:42 > 0:00:43as we'll see in a moment.

0:00:43 > 0:00:45This is the big picture for Saturday.

0:00:45 > 0:00:46The reason for the mild air,

0:00:46 > 0:00:48if you follow the isobars

0:00:48 > 0:00:50coming from well to the south-west

0:00:50 > 0:00:52of the UK, the breeze picking up

0:00:52 > 0:00:54over the weekend, pumping that mild air in,

0:00:54 > 0:00:56but it's fairly moist air,

0:00:56 > 0:00:58so it's coming with a fair amount of cloud.

0:00:58 > 0:00:59We have a weather front

0:00:59 > 0:01:00moving through during Saturday,

0:01:00 > 0:01:02it means a wet start in Northern Ireland,

0:01:02 > 0:01:04parts of Scotland, brightening up

0:01:04 > 0:01:06for the afternoon, a few blustery showers

0:01:06 > 0:01:08though coming into north-west Scotland.

0:01:08 > 0:01:09Where does the rain go next?

0:01:09 > 0:01:11Into northern England, North Wales.

0:01:11 > 0:01:13South of that - misty, murky start to the day,

0:01:13 > 0:01:14but brightening up into the afternoon,

0:01:14 > 0:01:17and more especially in south-east England,

0:01:17 > 0:01:20temperatures at around 10 to 13 degrees.

0:01:20 > 0:01:21Going out on Saturday evening,

0:01:21 > 0:01:23this very weak weather front

0:01:23 > 0:01:24moving south through England and Wales,

0:01:24 > 0:01:26only very light rain associated with it.

0:01:26 > 0:01:28Still blustery showers though

0:01:28 > 0:01:29in north-west Scotland.

0:01:29 > 0:01:32On Sunday, fair amount of cloud again,

0:01:32 > 0:01:33just a few sunny breaks.

0:01:33 > 0:01:35Another system approaching western areas,

0:01:35 > 0:01:38in the hills you may encounter some light rain,

0:01:38 > 0:01:39but some outbreaks coming back

0:01:39 > 0:01:42to Northern Ireland and western Scotland,

0:01:42 > 0:01:44breezier across the board on Sunday.

0:01:44 > 0:01:47But again, this feed of really mild air,

0:01:47 > 0:01:48we're going to waft

0:01:48 > 0:01:50even milder air our way for Monday,

0:01:50 > 0:01:53perhaps even into the start of Tuesday as well.

0:01:53 > 0:01:55And it is on Monday there's the potential

0:01:55 > 0:01:57for that 16 or 17 degrees.

0:01:57 > 0:01:58But this is the map for Monday -

0:01:58 > 0:02:01plenty of cloud, patchy rain in the west,

0:02:01 > 0:02:03heavier rain in north-west Scotland,

0:02:03 > 0:02:05a few brighter breaks to the east

0:02:05 > 0:02:06of high ground, and it's that,

0:02:06 > 0:02:09along with a down-sloping Foehn effect wind

0:02:09 > 0:02:12that may in a few spots east of higher ground

0:02:12 > 0:02:14bring temperatures up to 16 or 17 Celsius.

0:02:14 > 0:02:16The vast majority will of course

0:02:16 > 0:02:18fall short of that but this is still very mild

0:02:18 > 0:02:20for the time of year.

0:02:20 > 0:02:22That's after a warm front has gone through,

0:02:22 > 0:02:23but as we go into Tuesday,

0:02:23 > 0:02:24there is a weak cold front

0:02:24 > 0:02:26spreading its way southwards,

0:02:26 > 0:02:27so temperatures are going to come down

0:02:27 > 0:02:29a bit on Tuesday. It is still breezy,

0:02:29 > 0:02:31there is plenty of cloud around.

0:02:31 > 0:02:33May just see some further outbreaks

0:02:33 > 0:02:35of rain in north-west Scotland.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37You'll notice those temperatures are a bit low,

0:02:37 > 0:02:39and we'll certainly notice that,

0:02:39 > 0:02:40especially in the breeze across

0:02:40 > 0:02:42the northern half of the UK.

0:02:42 > 0:02:43A lot of uncertainty about

0:02:43 > 0:02:44what's going to happen midweek

0:02:44 > 0:02:45with this area of low pressure -

0:02:45 > 0:02:47timing, depth of the low pressure,

0:02:47 > 0:02:49how windy it's going to be across northern parts,

0:02:49 > 0:02:51low chance of severe gales,

0:02:51 > 0:02:52need to watch that and some rain coming in.

0:02:52 > 0:02:55And for the rest of the week, well,

0:02:55 > 0:02:57with these low pressure systems going through,

0:02:57 > 0:02:59warm fronts and cold fronts, spells of wet weather,

0:02:59 > 0:03:00brighter interludes in between,

0:03:00 > 0:03:01but it will alternate

0:03:01 > 0:03:03between somewhat colder weather,

0:03:03 > 0:03:04then milder weather,

0:03:04 > 0:03:05then back to colder weather.

0:03:05 > 0:03:07But next weekend it does look -

0:03:07 > 0:03:09with low pressure close by -

0:03:09 > 0:03:10fairly unsettled,

0:03:10 > 0:03:12on the windy side and colder

0:03:12 > 0:03:15than this weekend, but not cold,

0:03:15 > 0:03:16and certainly not as cold

0:03:16 > 0:03:18as it was last weekend,

0:03:18 > 0:03:20just temperatures closer to normal

0:03:20 > 0:03:21for the time of year.

0:03:21 > 0:03:23So that's how it's looking,

0:03:23 > 0:03:24two weekends of weather,

0:03:24 > 0:03:26a little bit different,

0:03:26 > 0:03:28VERY different from last weekend.

0:03:30 > 0:03:32Congratulations, you pulled it off.

0:03:32 > 0:03:34Are you ready for the next ten years? I'm pregnant.

0:03:34 > 0:03:37You won't notice I'm gone. We've already started interviewing.

0:03:37 > 0:03:38You're irreplaceable.
