0:00:02 > 0:00:05Let's see what the weather is up to over the next few days.

0:00:05 > 0:00:08We've been promising fine weather this weekend and, indeed, that

0:00:08 > 0:00:11is the case. Lots of sunshine on the way.

0:00:11 > 0:00:14It will be a little chilly in the morning

0:00:14 > 0:00:16so there are clear skies developing now.

0:00:16 > 0:00:19Temperatures will be dipping like a stone overnight.

0:00:19 > 0:00:22Once the skies turn clear everywhere.

0:00:22 > 0:00:26We are still saying goodbye to the last of the cloudier weather we

0:00:26 > 0:00:27have seen across the UK.

0:00:27 > 0:00:30By the early hours of Saturday morning,

0:00:30 > 0:00:33right across the country, lots of clear weather around.

0:00:33 > 0:00:36Mist and fog will be forming, for example, around the

0:00:36 > 0:00:39Vale of York where the winds are light in the middle of that high.

0:00:39 > 0:00:43Temperatures, from about the north Midlands northwards,

0:00:43 > 0:00:46out of town will be below freezing.

0:00:46 > 0:00:48To the south of that, just above freezing.

0:00:48 > 0:00:53A nippy morning first thing but it will dawn on a sunny note.

0:00:53 > 0:00:55Here it is, skipping to lunchtime.

0:00:55 > 0:00:59Temperatures in some spots could get up to around 16, 17 degrees.

0:00:59 > 0:01:04But these eastern coasts, with the breeze coming out of the east,

0:01:04 > 0:01:08north-east, it will be chilly from Norwich to the coast of Kent.

0:01:08 > 0:01:12Could be only around nine or 10 degrees on the coast.

0:01:12 > 0:01:16I want to just remind you that Saturday night into Sunday,

0:01:16 > 0:01:22the clocks go forward. 1am becomes to 2am, just like that.

0:01:22 > 0:01:28Sunday itself, again high pressure is dominant across the UK.

0:01:28 > 0:01:31Very little changes. You'll notice there are some lows here.

0:01:31 > 0:01:34We'll talk about those in a second.

0:01:34 > 0:01:38The high pressure still very much in charge of the scene on Sunday.

0:01:38 > 0:01:43The winds will turn lighter, even across the south and south-east.

0:01:43 > 0:01:45So everywhere a very decent day.

0:01:45 > 0:01:49For most of us it will be around 13 or 14 degrees but I wouldn't

0:01:49 > 0:01:53be surprised if it was up to 15 or 16 in some spots.

0:01:53 > 0:01:57Let's skip to Monday because that is when we start to see changes.

0:01:57 > 0:02:00The high pressure still in charge of the weather but look at this big

0:02:00 > 0:02:04low across the Atlantic, it really is a large beast.

0:02:04 > 0:02:08Rain and cloud associated with it but at this stage on Monday,

0:02:08 > 0:02:10it is still way out in the Atlantic.

0:02:10 > 0:02:13It is not really influencing our weather too much.

0:02:13 > 0:02:18In fact, that low pressure could be our friend to an extent

0:02:18 > 0:02:20because by the time we get to Tuesday,

0:02:20 > 0:02:24it approaches the British Isles, still dry across most of the UK,

0:02:24 > 0:02:27but I want to point out what it does with the wind.

0:02:27 > 0:02:31With the wind spiralling around like this in an area of low pressure,

0:02:31 > 0:02:36what it is doing is scooping up all of the warmth that is to the south

0:02:36 > 0:02:40of us, so across France and maybe Spain, and moving in our direction.

0:02:40 > 0:02:45So while western areas by Wednesday turn cloudy with spots of rain,

0:02:45 > 0:02:48the winner in this scenario will probably be eastern parts of

0:02:48 > 0:02:52the country because here we will get that air wafting up from the south.

0:02:52 > 0:02:55Remember, the low pressure scooping up the warmth and sending it to

0:02:55 > 0:02:58the UK so temperatures possibly in the high teens.

0:02:58 > 0:03:01Beyond that, perhaps not quite so optimistic.

0:03:01 > 0:03:05That low currently is expected to roll over the UK.

0:03:05 > 0:03:08Even eastern areas will end up getting

0:03:08 > 0:03:09a little bit more cloud and rain.

0:03:09 > 0:03:13The thinking is that by next weekend, that low should be

0:03:13 > 0:03:17just about out of the way and the high pressure will return.

0:03:17 > 0:03:18Let's summarise all of this.

0:03:18 > 0:03:20Sunny this weekend,

0:03:20 > 0:03:23eventually unsettled but with the caveat it could be warm next week,

0:03:23 > 0:03:28at least in the east. Next weekend should be drier once again. Bye-bye.
