:00:08. > :00:13.Hello there. High pressure brought us some pretty impressive
:00:14. > :00:17.temperatures early in the week, importing some warm air off the near
:00:18. > :00:21.continent and sunshine up and down the country with temperatures
:00:22. > :00:26.reaching close to 30 in one or two places but a thundery break down
:00:27. > :00:29.into the weekend, some impressive thunderstorms around and flash
:00:30. > :00:33.flooding around an area of low pressure moved up from the south.
:00:34. > :00:37.That will continue going north as we head into Sunday. A brief ridge of
:00:38. > :00:40.high pressure settling things down before we see these areas of low
:00:41. > :00:45.pressure brings further thundery rain later on Sunday and into Monday
:00:46. > :00:49.to many parts of the UK's. For Sunday to itself, many central areas
:00:50. > :00:53.will see some sunshine and cloudy across Scotland and Northern
:00:54. > :01:00.Ireland. Certainly cooler than of late, temperatures at best around
:01:01. > :01:04.the mid to upper teens with a bit of light, patchy rain for the Northern
:01:05. > :01:06.Isles. A bit of sunshine in southern Scotland and northern England, we
:01:07. > :01:10.could see highs touching 2121. Pleasant through the Midlands but
:01:11. > :01:14.further south, we'll see the next thundery plume coming from the south
:01:15. > :01:18.bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms and temperatures here,
:01:19. > :01:21.fairly warm around the low to mid 20s Celsius in the south-east.
:01:22. > :01:27.Looking pretty wild during Sunday night as this thundery erase works
:01:28. > :01:31.its way northwards into parts of southern Scotland, could see some
:01:32. > :01:36.torrential downpours in places and we could have another warm and muggy
:01:37. > :01:41.night in the south. Fresher in Northern Scotland. Bank holiday
:01:42. > :01:44.Monday, a messy picture, lots of cloud around, thundery erase working
:01:45. > :01:48.north and we could see a return to thunderstorms in the south-east
:01:49. > :01:55.later in the day as temperatures again reach the mid- 20 Celsius. But
:01:56. > :02:00.cooler and fresher north and west. Thursday onwards it will be quieter,
:02:01. > :02:03.sunny spells and light winds, a touch fresher, a few showers around,
:02:04. > :02:09.warming up, though, slightly later in the week. This area of low
:02:10. > :02:13.pressure will bring a fresh feel to conditions on Tuesday. Fresh
:02:14. > :02:16.westerly winds and a weather front spreading eastwards will introduce a
:02:17. > :02:22.band of rain which will move through quite quickly. Again, 20-22 in the
:02:23. > :02:24.south-east but much cooler and fresher further north and west with
:02:25. > :02:29.temperatures near normal for the time of year. By the middle of the
:02:30. > :02:34.week signs of high pressure building in again, the winds turning lighter,
:02:35. > :02:37.a good deal of sunshine around and temperatures will rise as well,
:02:38. > :02:41.especially for England and Wales were once again in the south and
:02:42. > :02:47.south-east we could see between 23 and 26, but still cool in the north.
:02:48. > :02:51.On Thursday, this area of low pressure tries to make inroads from
:02:52. > :02:55.the west sending weather fronts across western parts of the UK,
:02:56. > :02:58.breezy with more cloud in Northern Ireland, western Britain but
:02:59. > :03:02.central, southern and eastern areas enjoying another fine day with
:03:03. > :03:06.generally light winds and sunshine. Beyond that period, a bit of
:03:07. > :03:10.uncertainty, it looks like we are in between weather systems of light
:03:11. > :03:16.winds, this rain band could be further west and further east but it
:03:17. > :03:19.looks like as we head into the next weekend, high pressure establishes
:03:20. > :03:22.itself again over the near continent with low pressure systems moving in
:03:23. > :03:26.across the north-west corner of the UK to bring spells of rain and wind.
:03:27. > :03:28.Turning more unsettled towards next weekend with some rain at times,
:03:29. > :03:36.mainly across the north and west From acclaimed writer
:03:37. > :03:40.Jimmy McGovern...
