0:00:03 > 0:00:06Whether you like hot weather or not, hopefully there should be

0:00:06 > 0:00:09some good news for you at some point in this weather forecast.

0:00:09 > 0:00:12Sunday brought some real heat.

0:00:12 > 0:00:14Parts of south-west London

0:00:14 > 0:00:17got up just above 32 degrees Celsius.

0:00:17 > 0:00:18It was a little bit cooler

0:00:18 > 0:00:20close to some of the coasts

0:00:20 > 0:00:21as we developed a sea breeze

0:00:21 > 0:00:22and across northern Scotland,

0:00:22 > 0:00:24there was more cloud in the sky.

0:00:24 > 0:00:25Still some sunshine,

0:00:25 > 0:00:27although for north-west Scotland,

0:00:27 > 0:00:29sunshine was in short supply.

0:00:29 > 0:00:30It's all because of a weather front

0:00:30 > 0:00:32which really was sitting around

0:00:32 > 0:00:33in just about the same place

0:00:33 > 0:00:34all weekend long

0:00:34 > 0:00:36and will only be very, very slowly

0:00:36 > 0:00:38moving its way southwards during Monday.

0:00:38 > 0:00:39To the north of the front,

0:00:39 > 0:00:41some fresher air which will move

0:00:41 > 0:00:42into some parts of the country,

0:00:42 > 0:00:44but across southern areas,

0:00:44 > 0:00:45the hot air holds on.

0:00:45 > 0:00:48So, plenty of sunshine once again on Monday

0:00:48 > 0:00:50across the bulk of England and Wales,

0:00:50 > 0:00:52also some sunshine into parts of Northern Ireland,

0:00:52 > 0:00:54southern and eastern Scotland.

0:00:54 > 0:00:55Our weather front bringing cloud

0:00:55 > 0:00:57and a little patchy rain

0:00:57 > 0:00:58across the northern half of Scotland

0:00:58 > 0:00:59and here it will be cooler,

0:00:59 > 0:01:01but come further south,

0:01:01 > 0:01:03temperatures could get up to 32,

0:01:03 > 0:01:05maybe 33 degrees and that could be enough

0:01:05 > 0:01:08to spark a very isolated shower or thunderstorm

0:01:08 > 0:01:10across parts of the Midlands and Lincolnshire

0:01:10 > 0:01:12as we head through Monday evening.

0:01:12 > 0:01:14Now, Monday night into Tuesday

0:01:14 > 0:01:15brings our weather front

0:01:15 > 0:01:17a little bit further southwards

0:01:17 > 0:01:18so that cool fresh air

0:01:18 > 0:01:20getting into Glasgow, for instance,

0:01:20 > 0:01:22into Belfast, but for Cardiff and London,

0:01:22 > 0:01:24temperatures really holding up,

0:01:24 > 0:01:25another muggy night.

0:01:25 > 0:01:27Now, into Tuesday, the fresher air

0:01:27 > 0:01:28will really be sitting

0:01:28 > 0:01:30across the northern half of the country.

0:01:30 > 0:01:32The hot air still in place across the south

0:01:32 > 0:01:34so temperatures once again during Tuesday

0:01:34 > 0:01:36across southern parts of England,

0:01:36 > 0:01:39south Wales will get close to 30 degrees.

0:01:39 > 0:01:40To the north of that,

0:01:40 > 0:01:41it will be much cooler and fresher

0:01:41 > 0:01:43and along the line of our weather front,

0:01:43 > 0:01:44there is a greater chance

0:01:44 > 0:01:46that we could see one or two showers

0:01:46 > 0:01:48and thunderstorms through the afternoon.

0:01:48 > 0:01:50Now, during Tuesday night into Wednesday,

0:01:50 > 0:01:52our weather front, having moved its way southwards

0:01:52 > 0:01:54then begins to move its way north-eastwards again.

0:01:54 > 0:01:57It will introduce some showery rain at this stage

0:01:57 > 0:01:59across parts of Northern Ireland, western Scotland,

0:01:59 > 0:02:01some western fringes of England and Wales as well.

0:02:01 > 0:02:03Some of this could be heavy ahead of it.

0:02:03 > 0:02:04Still some dry weather,

0:02:04 > 0:02:06fairly cool to the north-east,

0:02:06 > 0:02:07fairly warm to the south-east

0:02:07 > 0:02:10and during Wednesday night into Thursday

0:02:10 > 0:02:12as this warm front continues its journey eastwards,

0:02:12 > 0:02:15it could well allow some very, very warm air,

0:02:15 > 0:02:18even some very hot air to move in again

0:02:18 > 0:02:20across the south-east of the country

0:02:20 > 0:02:22so Thursday could be an even hotter day

0:02:22 > 0:02:24across parts of the south-east in England -

0:02:24 > 0:02:2529/30 degrees,

0:02:25 > 0:02:27maybe even a little higher here and there.

0:02:27 > 0:02:28But further north and west,

0:02:28 > 0:02:30again that cooler, fresher feel.

0:02:30 > 0:02:3217 degrees there in Aberdeen,

0:02:32 > 0:02:34still quite a lot of dry weather

0:02:34 > 0:02:35across the country at this stage.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37Now, through Thursday night into Friday,

0:02:37 > 0:02:39it will be a slow process,

0:02:39 > 0:02:41but we will see fresher air moving

0:02:41 > 0:02:44from the west across more parts of the country.

0:02:44 > 0:02:46That fresher air coming from the Atlantic,

0:02:46 > 0:02:49but also coming from the Atlantic weather systems,

0:02:49 > 0:02:50like this one which will bring some rain

0:02:50 > 0:02:53into the north-west, we suspect, on Friday.

0:02:53 > 0:02:54Still some warmth into the south-east,

0:02:54 > 0:02:57but temperatures back into the mid-20s

0:02:57 > 0:03:00by this stage and as we go on into next weekend,

0:03:00 > 0:03:02we will see more of that cool fresh air

0:03:02 > 0:03:04coming in from the Atlantic

0:03:04 > 0:03:05because an area of low pressure

0:03:05 > 0:03:08is likely to move its way in and park itself

0:03:08 > 0:03:10across the north of the British Isles.

0:03:10 > 0:03:12This low is likely to become quite slow moving,

0:03:12 > 0:03:14bringing us this westerly wind,

0:03:14 > 0:03:17bringing us the fresher air from the Atlantic

0:03:17 > 0:03:20so next weekend should be a cooler, fresher feel

0:03:20 > 0:03:21and that is what we take forward

0:03:21 > 0:03:22into the following week as well.

0:03:22 > 0:03:24Cooler days, fresher nights,

0:03:24 > 0:03:26a mixture of sunshine and showers,

0:03:26 > 0:03:27although some of the showers

0:03:27 > 0:03:28could be on the heavy side

0:03:28 > 0:03:30so the heat will eventually ease.

0:03:33 > 0:03:35I mean, Lauren, she's too nice.
