0:00:04 > 0:00:05Hello.

0:00:05 > 0:00:07Heat has been one of the main talking points

0:00:07 > 0:00:09of our summer weather so far.

0:00:09 > 0:00:12Not so much this week, no heat waves in the forecast.

0:00:12 > 0:00:15I hope you made the most of the warm, sunny spells that

0:00:15 > 0:00:17some of us enjoyed over the weekend.

0:00:17 > 0:00:19Certainly into England and Wales, temperatures widely

0:00:19 > 0:00:21into the low to mid 20s.

0:00:21 > 0:00:22Upper 20s still for some.

0:00:22 > 0:00:25Scotland and Northern Ireland, there was a weather front close by,

0:00:25 > 0:00:28so certainly into Sunday there was cloud and rain,

0:00:28 > 0:00:30and that's edging its way southwards during Monday,

0:00:30 > 0:00:32taking cooler and fresher air with it.

0:00:32 > 0:00:35It is one of a number of weather systems coming our way

0:00:35 > 0:00:37as we go through this week.

0:00:37 > 0:00:40It will be a week of changeable weather on the way.

0:00:40 > 0:00:41Atlantic-driven weather, so cooler and fresher.

0:00:41 > 0:00:44Some days wetter, some days better, but a cooling trend

0:00:44 > 0:00:46and turning breezy as well later in the week.

0:00:46 > 0:00:48The cooler weather most noticeable

0:00:48 > 0:00:50where it has been so very warm of late.

0:00:50 > 0:00:52So we have a weather system

0:00:52 > 0:00:54working southwards across the UK during Monday,

0:00:54 > 0:00:56but it is just becoming showers really.

0:00:56 > 0:00:58So sunshine and showers almost across the board.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00But for parts of East Anglia and south-east England

0:01:00 > 0:01:02there could be some heavy and thundery downpours,

0:01:02 > 0:01:05giving a lot of rain in a short space of time.

0:01:05 > 0:01:09Still with some warmth and humidity to be found here for one more day

0:01:09 > 0:01:12before things cool down a bit as we go into Tuesday.

0:01:12 > 0:01:14In fact, going into Tuesday,

0:01:14 > 0:01:16we have got this little weather disturbance to move through

0:01:16 > 0:01:19so it looks like bringing another batch of showers

0:01:19 > 0:01:21especially across parts of England and Wales during Tuesday.

0:01:21 > 0:01:24They may merge to give some longer spells of rain,

0:01:24 > 0:01:28and with plenty of cloud as well, the sunshine hard to come by,

0:01:28 > 0:01:29and it will of course feel cooler.

0:01:29 > 0:01:32But for northern England, Scotland, Northern Ireland on Tuesday,

0:01:32 > 0:01:34it is sunshine and scattered showers.

0:01:34 > 0:01:36Notice another weather system coming towards the south-west of the UK

0:01:36 > 0:01:40later on Tuesday, spreading in some rain here rather than showers.

0:01:40 > 0:01:42You may want something if your garden is looking dry.

0:01:42 > 0:01:45I have to say, word of caution, still some uncertainty about exactly

0:01:45 > 0:01:49what this area of low pressure will do on Tuesday night

0:01:49 > 0:01:49into Wednesday morning.

0:01:49 > 0:01:53How far north or south it is going to go so don't bank

0:01:53 > 0:01:56on that rain getting to your garden across South Wales southern England,

0:01:56 > 0:01:57for example, just yet.

0:01:57 > 0:01:59Just keep checking the forecast.

0:01:59 > 0:02:01During Wednesday, what rain there is will pull away and we're

0:02:01 > 0:02:04left with a gap between weather systems on Wednesday.

0:02:04 > 0:02:07So many of us will be dry, there will be some sunny spells,

0:02:07 > 0:02:10and although temperatures have come down, high teens to low 20s,

0:02:10 > 0:02:13it still feels very pleasant in that sunshine

0:02:13 > 0:02:14underneath a ridge of high pressure.

0:02:14 > 0:02:17But then as we go through Thursday, low pressure,

0:02:17 > 0:02:20though it is well to the north of the UK,

0:02:20 > 0:02:22there is a weather front draped around it,

0:02:22 > 0:02:25and that comes back across us so it will spread some showers,

0:02:25 > 0:02:27again from west to east across the UK.

0:02:27 > 0:02:30Some sunny spells in between any of those as well.

0:02:30 > 0:02:31So nothing particularly wet.

0:02:31 > 0:02:34Although if you catch a shower, it could be heavy and possibly

0:02:34 > 0:02:36thundery and high teens to low 20s.

0:02:36 > 0:02:39Looks like, as we go into Friday, behind that weather system,

0:02:39 > 0:02:42although there is a gap again, the isobars are close together,

0:02:42 > 0:02:46the breeze is picking up and again this is Atlantic air coming in,

0:02:46 > 0:02:48so it is cooler and fresher air heading our way.

0:02:48 > 0:02:52So it is a breezier picture, a largely dry picture with high

0:02:52 > 0:02:55pressure for Friday but there could be a few showers perhaps

0:02:55 > 0:02:56across central parts of the UK.

0:02:56 > 0:02:58And we take you on to another weekend,

0:02:58 > 0:03:00and it looks again like this changeable weather

0:03:00 > 0:03:02is going to continue.

0:03:02 > 0:03:04We've got another weather system working through during next weekend.

0:03:04 > 0:03:06The isobars again fairly close together.

0:03:06 > 0:03:07So a breezier, windier picture.

0:03:07 > 0:03:10But likely seeing another gap between weather systems

0:03:10 > 0:03:12as we go to part two of the weekend on Sunday.

0:03:12 > 0:03:15And it doesn't look like a great change

0:03:15 > 0:03:16going into the following week.

0:03:16 > 0:03:18So there will be weather systems moving through,

0:03:18 > 0:03:19then gaps in between.

0:03:19 > 0:03:22So changeable, some days sunnier, other days wetter.

0:03:22 > 0:03:24A breezier picture and quite a cool picture as well.

0:03:24 > 0:03:27Temperatures quite close to average, perhaps even a little bit below.

0:03:27 > 0:03:29So summer heat has been a talking point.

0:03:29 > 0:03:32The lack of some heat may be a talking point next week.
