0:00:03 > 0:00:05Hello. Well, let's see if the weather

0:00:05 > 0:00:07is going to be behaving itself over the next few days.

0:00:07 > 0:00:10It certainly didn't yesterday,

0:00:10 > 0:00:11on Tuesday -

0:00:11 > 0:00:14what a deluge in the south,

0:00:14 > 0:00:15a completely different story,

0:00:15 > 0:00:18and, more recently, some sunshine around.

0:00:18 > 0:00:20A beautiful picture coming in from Cumbria,

0:00:20 > 0:00:22as well - look at the water.

0:00:22 > 0:00:23Tranquil skies,

0:00:23 > 0:00:25and a tranquil lake, as well.

0:00:25 > 0:00:27Anyway, the high pressure has been building in,

0:00:27 > 0:00:29so that means that things have settled down

0:00:29 > 0:00:32while this low pressure has been moving away,

0:00:32 > 0:00:34and you can see this sort of residual cloud

0:00:34 > 0:00:36in the morning on Wednesday in the south,

0:00:36 > 0:00:38and then we've got this wonderful afternoon

0:00:38 > 0:00:41with just a bit of scattered fair-weather cloud.

0:00:41 > 0:00:43So, Wednesday, a fine day.

0:00:43 > 0:00:44That means that the early hours of Thursday,

0:00:44 > 0:00:47very quiet on the weather front, as well.

0:00:47 > 0:00:49There will be starry skies out there,

0:00:49 > 0:00:51and then, of course, the sun pops up,

0:00:51 > 0:00:54and it will be quite chilly first thing in the morning

0:00:54 > 0:00:55in rural spots,

0:00:55 > 0:00:57but the really coldest of spots,

0:00:57 > 0:00:59we could see temperatures down to 4 degrees -

0:00:59 > 0:01:00and, believe it or not,

0:01:00 > 0:01:02that is cold enough for a bit of grass frost

0:01:02 > 0:01:03in one or two spots.

0:01:03 > 0:01:06High pressure still in charge across most of the UK,

0:01:06 > 0:01:08but this sort of sneaky little weather front

0:01:08 > 0:01:09gets into the north-west,

0:01:09 > 0:01:11so, we are anticipating the clouds,

0:01:11 > 0:01:14later in the day, to thicken a little bit,

0:01:14 > 0:01:16with a freshening breeze in the north-west

0:01:16 > 0:01:17and a chance for a bit of rain -

0:01:17 > 0:01:19but, also, there is a risk

0:01:19 > 0:01:21of one or two showers also breaking out,

0:01:21 > 0:01:23maybe across parts of the Midlands,

0:01:23 > 0:01:24maybe just about into Lincolnshire,

0:01:24 > 0:01:26perhaps the south-west, as well.

0:01:26 > 0:01:28Exactly where these little blobs of rain will occur,

0:01:28 > 0:01:29so difficult to predict,

0:01:29 > 0:01:31but you can see, overall,

0:01:31 > 0:01:32it is looking dry on Thursday.

0:01:32 > 0:01:33Low 20s in the south,

0:01:33 > 0:01:3520, there, for Sheffield,

0:01:35 > 0:01:3621 in Sunderland,

0:01:36 > 0:01:38probably quite a nice, sunny day, here, as well.

0:01:38 > 0:01:40Decent enough for Dundee -

0:01:40 > 0:01:42but the further north-west you go,

0:01:42 > 0:01:44you can see, there, Stornoway only 14 degrees,

0:01:44 > 0:01:47and we've got some spots of rain on the way, as well.

0:01:47 > 0:01:49So, that was Thursday - this is Friday.

0:01:49 > 0:01:51Now, weather fronts are trying to push in

0:01:51 > 0:01:53off the Atlantic, and what they are doing

0:01:53 > 0:01:55is sort of pushing in a lot of cloud,

0:01:55 > 0:01:59and also increasing the humidity across the UK,

0:01:59 > 0:02:00so, what you'll find,

0:02:00 > 0:02:03Friday, Saturday and then Sunday

0:02:03 > 0:02:05is that there will be a lot of cloud around

0:02:05 > 0:02:06across the country,

0:02:06 > 0:02:08but the temperatures will still be pretty high -

0:02:08 > 0:02:10mid-20s, perhaps 25 or 26 degrees -

0:02:10 > 0:02:12and a little bit of rain around, light rain,

0:02:12 > 0:02:13with this thick cloud, as well.

0:02:13 > 0:02:15I think the best chance of sunshine

0:02:15 > 0:02:17may be across these eastern areas.

0:02:17 > 0:02:19So, a muggy, warm weekend on the way,

0:02:19 > 0:02:22which is not ideal for Wimbledon.

0:02:22 > 0:02:24We don't want that really heavy, sticky air,

0:02:24 > 0:02:27but it does look as though that is heading our way

0:02:27 > 0:02:29for both finals there on Saturday and Sunday,

0:02:29 > 0:02:30women's and men.

0:02:30 > 0:02:32Then, on Monday,

0:02:32 > 0:02:34high pressure again in charge of the weather,

0:02:34 > 0:02:37so that means things will be settling down once more,

0:02:37 > 0:02:38and here is a schematic

0:02:38 > 0:02:40of what's happening into next week -

0:02:40 > 0:02:41so, the jet stream

0:02:41 > 0:02:42is way to the north of us,

0:02:42 > 0:02:45that's where the really unsettled weather is.

0:02:45 > 0:02:46Here's an area of high pressure.

0:02:46 > 0:02:48Couple of areas of disturbed weather -

0:02:48 > 0:02:50it happens, south of the jet stream, sometimes,

0:02:50 > 0:02:52as well, so, just a risk

0:02:52 > 0:02:54that there might be some showers around,

0:02:54 > 0:02:56coming in from the south early next week -

0:02:56 > 0:02:59but, overall, what I'm saying for next week

0:02:59 > 0:03:00is that there's going to be

0:03:00 > 0:03:02a lot of fine summertime weather.

0:03:02 > 0:03:03Very warm during the day -

0:03:03 > 0:03:06at best, probably around 26 degrees,

0:03:06 > 0:03:07but there's a lot of dry air

0:03:07 > 0:03:08over us, actually, next week,

0:03:08 > 0:03:11so that means that, with clear skies overnight,

0:03:11 > 0:03:12it will be quite chilly,

0:03:12 > 0:03:14so there will be a big difference

0:03:14 > 0:03:17between the daytime and night-time temperature

0:03:17 > 0:03:20next week, almost feeling quite continental.

0:03:20 > 0:03:21So, staying settled,

0:03:21 > 0:03:22that's for the Outlook,

0:03:22 > 0:03:24with some warm nights, but the nights...

0:03:24 > 0:03:26Some warm days, that is,

0:03:26 > 0:03:27but the nights will be

0:03:27 > 0:03:28a little on the fresh side.

0:03:28 > 0:03:29Bye-bye.

0:03:33 > 0:03:37You've been weird ever since we came down here. There's something.

0:03:37 > 0:03:38I never blamed you.
