:00:00. > :00:11.The headlines: a key suspect in the Paris terror attacks,

:00:12. > :00:12.and possibly the Brussels bombings too, is arrested.

:00:13. > :00:15.Within the last hour Belgium prosecutors have confirmed

:00:16. > :00:18.Mohamed Abrini was among a number of people seized

:00:19. > :00:26.They're still investigating whether he is the man in the hat

:00:27. > :00:39.At the moment the investigators are are fine weather Mohamed Abrini

:00:40. > :00:46.Company identified as the third person present during the attacks in

:00:47. > :00:48.Brussels Airport as the so-called man in the hat.

:00:49. > :00:50.The pragmatic Pope - Francis tells the world's billion

:00:51. > :00:52.Catholics it's time to adapt to the realities

:00:53. > :01:00.After a week dominated by revelations about tax havens

:01:01. > :01:02.following leaks from a Panamanian law firm - we speak to one

:01:03. > :01:27.Belgian prosecutors have just confirmed the key remaining suspects

:01:28. > :01:32.in November's Paris terror attacks have been arrested. Mohamed Abrini

:01:33. > :01:38.is one of a number of people who had been seized in a Elgin police

:01:39. > :01:43.operation today. Investigators are still looking into whether he was

:01:44. > :01:47.the man in the hat seen in CCTV footage before the blast in Brussels

:01:48. > :01:55.Airport in March. He is what a spokesperson for the Belgian

:01:56. > :02:00.prosecutors office had to say. In connection with the investigation of

:02:01. > :02:06.the terror attacks on March 22 at their Brussels Airport and the

:02:07. > :02:14.subway station, this morning Mohamed Abrini was arrested in Brussels. The

:02:15. > :02:20.investigation into the Paris attacks has shown that his car was picked up

:02:21. > :02:33.in Germany and brought to Belgium on October three 2015 with a rental car

:02:34. > :02:36.hired by Salah Abdeslam. The investigations have identified him

:02:37. > :02:45.as the second person present at the time of the --. This second person

:02:46. > :02:50.was seen in the company of another bomber in the subway. This second

:02:51. > :03:03.person was filmed at the shopping mall in Brussels buying bags that

:03:04. > :03:09.were used in the --. -- the attack. Mohamed Abrini was arrested at the

:03:10. > :03:20.same time as two other versions. Fingerprints and DNA were retrieved

:03:21. > :03:25.in the safe houses and also in difficult that was used during the

:03:26. > :03:30.Paris attacks. Some time ago a look warning was issued in connection

:03:31. > :03:38.with the investigation concerning the attacks in November 2015. He was

:03:39. > :03:46.seen in the company of Salah Abdeslam on November 11. Moreover,

:03:47. > :03:52.the investigation into the Paris attacks has shown that Mohamed

:03:53. > :03:57.Abrini and Salah Abdeslam rented an apartment sometime before the

:03:58. > :04:00.attacks, where the Swiss side bombers stayed just before the

:04:01. > :04:07.attacks in Paris. -- suicide bombers. Investigators are now

:04:08. > :04:15.verifying whether Mohamed Abrini ten the positively identified as the

:04:16. > :04:17.third person present during the attacks at Brussels National

:04:18. > :04:24.airport, the so-called man in the hat. The investigation continues, in

:04:25. > :04:29.the interest of the investigation and no further details can be given.

:04:30. > :04:34.That was the Delta and federal roster tutor speaking in the last

:04:35. > :04:40.half-hour. Let's cross now to an area of Brussels, and elect, which

:04:41. > :04:46.is near Mullen back, where the arrests took place. The prosecutor

:04:47. > :04:50.confirmed four men have been arrested in that area in connection

:04:51. > :04:55.with those terrorist attacks and one of them has been named as Mohamed

:04:56. > :05:02.Abrini but still the prosecutor unable to confirm whether Mohamed

:05:03. > :05:10.Abrini is also the man in the hat, the CCTV image which we saw so

:05:11. > :05:15.prominently after the attack on the Brussels Airport, so this is the

:05:16. > :05:22.area in Brussels, it is near the area which was the scene of so much

:05:23. > :05:29.activity earlier, where those terror arrests were made. The Ela Jones

:05:30. > :05:33.federal prosecutor in the last half hour gave us a press conference,

:05:34. > :05:39.confirming four men have been arrested in connection with the

:05:40. > :05:42.terror attacks at Brussels Airport and on the Metro system two weeks

:05:43. > :05:49.ago. Two of the men have been named as Mohamed Abrini and also as a

:05:50. > :05:54.Samak K. Both were already wanted in connection with the terror attacks

:05:55. > :05:59.in Paris in November. Belgian authorities say they are now

:06:00. > :06:04.investigating if Mohamed Abrini is the missing suspect in the attack at

:06:05. > :06:08.Brussels Airport who has been identified as the man with the hat,

:06:09. > :06:14.but we did not have that confirmed during that press conference, at

:06:15. > :06:20.which Gavin Lee was listening in. He joins us live from Brussels. We

:06:21. > :06:27.still have that question are both that I did the tape of the man in

:06:28. > :06:32.the hat. -- about that identity. The difficulty is that the prosecutors

:06:33. > :06:38.believe it is credible this could be the man. They are going through

:06:39. > :06:42.images comparing Mohamed Abrini, this 31-year-old who was already

:06:43. > :06:47.wanted in connection with the Paris attacks, he was seen two days

:06:48. > :06:54.beforehand with Salah Abdeslam, who was arrested three weeks ago and is

:06:55. > :06:59.awaiting extradition from French police, they were on the way to

:07:00. > :07:04.Paris to gather. He was on Europe all's top 50 most wanted men in

:07:05. > :07:09.Europe and potentially the most wanted man if he is connected with

:07:10. > :07:14.the man missing yesterday. This footage was emerging of the fact

:07:15. > :07:18.this missing man walked from the airport or ran for a short while

:07:19. > :07:24.past other passengers as they fled the scene, walk through the airport

:07:25. > :07:30.hotel into the air -- the car park, and books ten kilometres. This

:07:31. > :07:35.second person, four people arrested today, two other men who have not

:07:36. > :07:43.been named work arrested alongside Mohamed Abrini, this other man named

:07:44. > :07:48.only as Samak K. He was connected with the Brussels attacks and Paris

:07:49. > :07:57.he also was connected to Salah Abdeslam. He was picked up in the

:07:58. > :08:02.police check up the Belgian city of bomb, two months before the Paris

:08:03. > :08:06.attacks, he is believed to have travelled among refugees into

:08:07. > :08:10.Europe. They are investigating whether this was the man picked up

:08:11. > :08:15.at the tube station near for I am talking to you now, he was seen

:08:16. > :08:21.talking to a suspected suicide bomber. Investigators are also

:08:22. > :08:27.checking if the same image of a man two days before buying the sports

:08:28. > :08:31.bags apparently used to hide the ball in the airport and at the tube

:08:32. > :08:37.station, the same man in both images. They are looking at whether

:08:38. > :08:47.this man was Osama K, from this CDs the Aviva did. -- the CCTV. In terms

:08:48. > :08:53.of four men having been arrested, we have details about two of the men,

:08:54. > :09:01.Mohamed Abrini and Osama K, what about the two other men? No details

:09:02. > :09:08.about these two men. Looking at details from the prosecutor now, we

:09:09. > :09:19.know separately to the investigation and what has come out from Belgian

:09:20. > :09:26.media on Osama K, he has been named locally as a man who was said to be

:09:27. > :09:30.of Swedish nationality who fought in Syria, one of the first fighters

:09:31. > :09:37.from Sweden who fought for Islamic State. He was a top in a random

:09:38. > :09:42.police check and was seen to be associated with Salah Abdeslam. His

:09:43. > :09:47.fingerprints were seen at the property used by the three suspected

:09:48. > :09:54.suicide bombers at the airport when the taxi driver who put them up from

:09:55. > :09:58.this pretty near the hot said they were, so he seemed to be linked not

:09:59. > :10:04.just to Brussels and Paris, and to give you a sense of what the police

:10:05. > :10:09.authorities are hoping, it closes the circle in terms of the people we

:10:10. > :10:14.have seen on CCTV, visual people connected with these attacks. If

:10:15. > :10:19.they are confirmed, those have all been rounded up. In terms of the

:10:20. > :10:23.network, French and Belgian prosecutors said it is larger than

:10:24. > :10:29.they thought, something like 62 separate terror cells that are being

:10:30. > :10:35.monitored in Belgium and in France over 100 since the start of the

:10:36. > :10:39.year, so that gives a scale of the operation that both countries'

:10:40. > :10:44.security services have to look at. Gavin, thank you for bringing us up

:10:45. > :10:51.to date, that press conference taking place in the last half an

:10:52. > :10:53.hour. Now let's bring up to date some other news.

:10:54. > :10:55.Pope Francis has called for the Catholic Church to recognise

:10:56. > :10:59.He says bishops and priests should be free to interpret doctrine

:11:00. > :11:02.in ways that suit their own cultures in their own countries,

:11:03. > :11:07.particularly in relation to marriage and divorce.

:11:08. > :11:13.Our religious affairs correspondent Caroline Wyatt reports from Rome.

:11:14. > :11:15.Father Rocco D'Ambrosio is a Professor at the Gregorian

:11:16. > :11:18.University in the Vatican, which is the Jesuit college that

:11:19. > :11:21.trains priests and a high percentage of all Catholic bishops globally.

:11:22. > :11:29.He joins us live via Skype from his home in Southern Italy.

:11:30. > :11:39.Thank you for joining us. What do you make of these new guidelines?

:11:40. > :11:46.One of the most important things in the document is to put on one side

:11:47. > :11:53.love and tenderness, the Pope says, and on the other side the defence of

:11:54. > :11:58.a dry and lifeless doctrine, and this is quite interesting. The

:11:59. > :12:03.airport of that hope is to invite the church to discover the love and

:12:04. > :12:11.rediscover the love and tenderness of people, of a family, of a couple,

:12:12. > :12:19.so first of all it is a document welcoming people, not condemning

:12:20. > :12:28.people but welcoming, and doing with them aid dialogue. The most quoted

:12:29. > :12:34.word in the document is discernment. It is interesting, discernment is

:12:35. > :12:42.quoted more than the word divorce and discernment is to be with

:12:43. > :12:49.people, especially with eight couple in difficulties, and to distinguish

:12:50. > :12:57.elements in their lives and to help them to grow in the light of a

:12:58. > :13:03.faith, the Christian faith from and even in human growth. That is a lot

:13:04. > :13:09.of scope for interpretation, isn't there, because you'd talk about the

:13:10. > :13:14.love the Pope is requesting and yet different countries and cultures are

:13:15. > :13:20.allowed to interpret this in their own ways. Not everyone will get the

:13:21. > :13:27.same kind of love, perhaps. You were right, but we must be honest, this

:13:28. > :13:33.problem has been the problem of all the history of the church, all the

:13:34. > :13:40.centuries long, so when we say discernment, that Pope says that

:13:41. > :13:46.local communities, the local priests and bishops, must study this

:13:47. > :13:52.evaluations, must interpret the problems of the couple and their

:13:53. > :13:58.families. If I could enter chat, I apologise, but you say countries

:13:59. > :14:02.like Poland, where you have people leaving churches while they discuss

:14:03. > :14:08.abortion laws and tightening them. It is very up to the priests

:14:09. > :14:13.themselves to interpret, so there will be a lot of discrepancies

:14:14. > :14:19.across cultures. It depends on the skills of the priests and it depends

:14:20. > :14:27.on the mentality of the priests and bishops. If the mentality is to

:14:28. > :14:34.preach something, without lessening, the problems of people, it is quite

:14:35. > :14:38.impossible, but if the approach is first of all to listen, to

:14:39. > :14:44.understand the problems, and two together to find a way to be

:14:45. > :14:50.faithful to the gospel I am not saying it is easy, it is quite

:14:51. > :14:55.difficult, but otherwise the Pope is completely right, if we don't do

:14:56. > :15:06.this work of discernment, Ardboe in of marriage becomes dry and lifeless

:15:07. > :15:11.bashing our doctrine -- our doctrine of marriage becomes dry and lifeless

:15:12. > :15:16.with no meaning for common people. We have to leave it there but we

:15:17. > :15:21.thank you for your time. Stay with us here on BBC News. We will look

:15:22. > :15:26.ahead to this weekend's heavyweight title fight. Can Anthony Josh will

:15:27. > :15:47.become world champion? Five years of hatred and rage as

:15:48. > :15:56.they jump up on the statue. This became a demonstration of black

:15:57. > :16:01.power, the power to influence. Today is about the promise of a bright

:16:02. > :16:15.future, a day when we hope a line can be drawn under the bloody past.

:16:16. > :16:22.I think that Picasso's works were beautiful, they work intelligent and

:16:23. > :16:35.it is a sad loss to everybody who loves art.

:16:36. > :16:44.You are watching BBC world use today. The headlines... A key

:16:45. > :16:49.suspect in the Paris terror attacks and possibly the Brussels bombings

:16:50. > :16:52.is arrested. Prosecutors have confirmed that Mohamed Abrini was

:16:53. > :16:58.among a number of people seized. And Pope Francis tells the world's

:16:59. > :17:04.billion Catholics it is time to adapt to the realities of the modern

:17:05. > :17:09.family. I stand, the UK and Argentina may

:17:10. > :17:12.not have much in common but all three countries have shared the

:17:13. > :17:19.Spotlight after the release of the Panama Papers. Iceland's Prime

:17:20. > :17:23.Minister was the first casualty, resigning as he had not declared his

:17:24. > :17:27.offshore dealings, while David Cameron admitted he sold shares in

:17:28. > :17:32.an offshore fund before he came to office. The firm mentioned in the

:17:33. > :17:38.papers was set up why his late father, who passed on the shares in

:17:39. > :17:43.his will. Mr Cameron says he paid all due taxes on the holding. In

:17:44. > :17:49.Argentina a federal prosecutor has opened an investigation into the

:17:50. > :17:52.financial affairs of the president, who denies accusations he failed to

:17:53. > :18:00.properly declared at director shot in an offshore company. These are

:18:01. > :18:06.just a few games caught up in the leak of documents. From politics to

:18:07. > :18:08.sport and business to Fulham, the names kept coming.

:18:09. > :18:10.We're joined from Washington by Gerard Ryle, director

:18:11. > :18:11.of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.

:18:12. > :18:27.What more can we expect? I think did journalists have to continue to look

:18:28. > :18:31.at documents and bring out the revelations as they find them. It is

:18:32. > :18:36.important people do not lose sight of the fact we have to do a lot of

:18:37. > :18:39.work behind-the-scenes to make sure what we are publishing is correct,

:18:40. > :18:46.and they need to be more patient, but I think the revelations will

:18:47. > :18:50.continue. In terms of the workload, the amount of documents is

:18:51. > :18:57.staggering, this is far bigger than WikiLeaks, for example. Yes it is,

:18:58. > :19:03.but we also have more journalists looking at it than previous

:19:04. > :19:07.investigations. We are working with 370 reporters from more than 70

:19:08. > :19:15.countries to you are seeing a range of things coming out. Are you

:19:16. > :19:19.surprised at how wide scale this is? Not really, we have been living with

:19:20. > :19:24.it for 12 months so we knew the potential for this story, but what

:19:25. > :19:29.you saw 12 months ago and the excitement when you first look at it

:19:30. > :19:33.we are now seeing in the rest of the world, so the work we have been

:19:34. > :19:40.doing, we are all familiar with the documents so it is no real surprise.

:19:41. > :19:45.We have had all the revelations I described at the big winning, what

:19:46. > :19:50.is still to come? How much more do you expect we will hear? I think you

:19:51. > :19:55.will find out there are more revelations from different kinds of

:19:56. > :20:00.countries and you will also have the situation you had in Britain, where

:20:01. > :20:05.politicians will be confronted by revelations and will react, and

:20:06. > :20:10.those reactions sometimes become the story rather than the original

:20:11. > :20:17.revelation. In terms of the law firm behind all this, this is just one

:20:18. > :20:21.firm, could there be others? We know from working in this area for a

:20:22. > :20:28.while that this is one in 100 firms that do this type of work, so we are

:20:29. > :20:33.looking at a small fraction of this world, but the bigger implication

:20:34. > :20:36.here is that we do not know who else will lead more information about

:20:37. > :20:42.other companies, so this could be the beginning of a torrent. The

:20:43. > :20:48.documents show that Hong Kong is by far the busiest office of the

:20:49. > :20:53.company. Why is that? I think it is the ease of setting up companies.

:20:54. > :20:57.You also see a lot of companies in places like New Zealand and a lot of

:20:58. > :21:03.it is the fact it is easier for people who want secrecy to work

:21:04. > :21:07.through certain jurisdictions, so those jurisdictions show up in these

:21:08. > :21:13.documents. They say they were the victim of a hack. What do you make

:21:14. > :21:18.of that? We do not know the source of this material. It is clear they

:21:19. > :21:23.did not want it to come out so it was not the firm giving us the myth

:21:24. > :21:35.you real, and it is no surprise for them to say this now. Fascinating to

:21:36. > :21:37.speak to you, thank you very much. Now let's get all the sports news

:21:38. > :21:38.for us. Let's start at the Masters,

:21:39. > :21:41.where Jordan Spieth continues his After a flawless opening round 66,

:21:42. > :21:45.Spieth started his second round in similar fashion,

:21:46. > :21:49.moving on to 8-under par earlier Hot on his heels Rory McIlroy,

:21:50. > :22:02.who's just two shots behind. McIlroy has had a mixed

:22:03. > :22:04.second day, that included a double bogey on the 4th,

:22:05. > :22:07.but he's gathered some ground, The Masters is the one major

:22:08. > :22:15.McIlroy hasn't won. There's a group of players

:22:16. > :22:18.on 2-under par - that include New Zealand's Danny Lee

:22:19. > :22:22.and England's Paul Casey. The IBF heavyweight title

:22:23. > :22:26.is on the line in London on Saturday with American belt holder

:22:27. > :22:31.Charles Martin facing who is the current

:22:32. > :22:36.Olympic champion. with the challenger,

:22:37. > :22:49.seen on the right here having knocked out each

:22:50. > :22:54.of his 15 opponents so far. And how does he feel

:22:55. > :22:57.about a potential unification fight with Tyson Fury if he wins a 16th

:22:58. > :23:06.professional contest? I've been training, I've had 12

:23:07. > :23:12.weeks so if I am not ready, I have no one to blame but myself. We heard

:23:13. > :23:18.the news today that Tyson Fury has that rematch, does that make you

:23:19. > :23:24.excited about potential reunification? Not really, I am

:23:25. > :23:27.excited about a bit heavyweight fight in the UK, I am excited about

:23:28. > :23:38.his opportunity. Now for there to be a hero,

:23:39. > :23:41.there often has to be a villain. And the man who was hit for four

:23:42. > :23:45.consecutive sixes off the last over in the World T20 final has faced

:23:46. > :23:48.the cameras for the first time. England's Ben Stokes has had less

:23:49. > :23:51.than a week to come to terms with being the man on the receiving

:23:52. > :23:54.end of Carlos Brathwaite as West Indies clinched victory

:23:55. > :24:02.in one of the most dramatic finishes At that time all the emotions and

:24:03. > :24:03.everything like that were just devastation.

:24:04. > :24:07.A few days after it I have opened my eyes to the fact that

:24:08. > :24:10.I represented England in the World Cup final.

:24:11. > :24:12.Obviously it still hurts not getting over

:24:13. > :24:16.the line and it still hurts being the guy who bowled the last

:24:17. > :24:22.There are nine qualifiers ahead of the women's european

:24:23. > :24:25.Scotland have a 3-1 lead over Belarus in their group 1 match,

:24:26. > :24:28.thanks to two goals from Jane Ross and a Kim Little penalty.

:24:29. > :24:30.Kick-off for Northern Ireland's match against the Czech Republic

:24:31. > :24:33.was delayed due to traffic problems around the ground.

:24:34. > :24:35.Northern Ireland are saying it's now been postponed to be

:24:36. > :24:38.Meanwhile England are playing Belgium.

:24:39. > :24:41.Mark Sampson's side have won their opening two games,

:24:42. > :24:44.but Belgium are the current group leaders, and they

:24:45. > :25:01.As always, thank you very much. Lots more on our website but that's bring

:25:02. > :25:08.you up to date with events in Brussels. The investigation into the

:25:09. > :25:12.Elton attacks and the Paris attacks is ongoing, within the last hour

:25:13. > :25:18.Belgian prosecutors have confirmed a key suspect in the Paris terror

:25:19. > :25:23.attacks, Mohamed Abrini, was among a number of people seized in a police
